Tests should only be read within the specified window (around 5 minutes max). It's not a positive if you see something hours later. Tests often look different once all the dye and urine has dried (at least this is the case for OPKs as I've never gotten a BFP myself). Test again in a few days and read the test within the specified time in the instructions.

Interesting, the directions mention nothing about a window of time the test is accurate. The only mention of time is the results will be available in 3 minutes.
What brand of test is this? The instructions on the box probably tell you how soon you can read the result, but the info sheet inside the box will tell you how long you can read the result.
