Low hcg levels, late ovulation or wishful thinking?

Hi ladies, advice needed please!! I am 6 days late for my AF. Usually they come like clockwork and never late, usually early! I have been pregnant once before and unfortunately had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. 🌈 The symptoms i have now are seeming similar to me but I don’t want to get my hopes up as it could be my mind playing tricks on me. 😞 My breasts are full, heavy sore and sensitive, constipation and gas, I have had killer heartburn, headaches and fatigue. I have only had nausea once or twice and haven’t gone on off coffee like I had previously. I have done a few tests which has been soul destroying as they have all came back negative. 💔 I had light brown/pink discharge when I wiped yesterday and that has been all. Still no sign of AF but also no sign of a BFP. Ladies, is there any hope or is this wishful thinking? 🤞🏼 Has anyone else had BFN tests this many days late and turned out to be wrong?

    Sorry about your previous loss.

We can't tell you what's going on: you may be pregnant, you may not. You may be late for your period.

Sorry, but unfortunately if you can't turn a test and don't have a period in 60 days, then contact your doctor.

Also, you never specified your cycle length. Were you tracking your BBT? Were you using OPKs to confirm O? Cycles can vary month to month, even for so-called "regular" people. The only way to know for sure that you ovulated and when is to confirm by BBT rise and an OPK, otherwise you're just guessing.

  • If you are getting negative tests, then you are not PG at this point.  If you were not temping, then you have no way to know if you in fact did O or not, and thus cannot tell if AF is actually late or if you never O'd.  So, continue testing every few days until you either get a BFP or you get AF.  Like people above said, if you hit 60 days without either a BFP or AF, then contact your doctor. If you are concerned, contact your doctor. I'd recommend temping, especially if your MC was anywhere in the more recent future.  I am sorry for your loss, I've had 5 myself.  Cycles can be extremely wonky following MC, and can take 6-12 months to straighten out to a new 'norm.'  You may have symptoms you never had before, and symptoms you used to have can be gone.  *TW* I had cycles following my MCs where I would've sworn to you I was 100% PG because of nausea and sore breasts and other symptoms, except I was bleeding with AF like a stuck pig.
