How are you feeling? Really good! I feel pretty much normal. With the exception of needing an insane amount of sleep.
Raves/Rants: still having to go in to work but glad to have money coming in. H and I reorganized the bills so hopefully that will help with my stress a bit.
I touched on this a bit In the randoms thread but I really expected to be bigger by now. I can feel my ute but it does not stick out much at all. Really hoping I can get a Doppler this week to ease my mind.
H and I took a shower together last night and let’s just say it did not go as planned 😂 the water did not help. It was the first time we tried doing anything since December so that’s probably why it didn’t work lol it was sad

GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? i was thinking about this the other day and I really enjoyed doing the Ispy books with my late grandma. We would hangout on the couch and look for the answers together. I loved it, I hope they’re still around to do with my littles.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out, but to the public we're team Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Artichoke
Upcoming appointments: 4/10 if I find out tomorrow it's not been canceled, and 4/17 maybe.
How are you feeling? Pretty great! I can eat and cook, and while some things I still avoid, it's a lot easier to know my triggers and avoid them. Spawn still gets pissy if I wait too long after waking up or between meals to eat.
Raves/Rants: My Amazon reported another case of the Virus. We still aren't shut down, but now we have a limited quantity of masks. While I'm happy about that because I'm pregnant, I'm also very upset because we're getting masks when the healthcare people are still facing shortages. To combat this personally, I'm reusing mine and storing it in a special pouch in my purse so it stays clean and germ-free.
Questions: Does it hurt a bit for anyone else when they go pee first thing in the morning? Like not excruciating pain but a bit sore as the bladder empties. I personally blame the spawn sitting on it all night, but then again I'm new to this so it might not be normal and an issue for the doctor.
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? It actually took me a minute to think of it, but I think undoubtedly it would be going to Chicago with my mom every year to go see some doctors. I was born with a cleft lip and palate, and the Shriner's in Chicago took care of me and helped make me into the beautiful young thing I am today. Going to Chicago was always special because in a house with three other siblings, it was always just something for me and her, a day or two that we had exclusively with each other that my other siblings never really got. It also gave me my love for all things airport and flying, so there's that too.
@raesky1111 yes if I have an extremely full bladder it will be sore when I finally pee. Combo of my bladder and muscles probably.! & that’s nice that you got to have that alone time with your mom even though it was for doctors visits!
@raesky1111 not so much yet this pregnancy but that used to happen a lot with my last pregnancy. It's just because the bladder is a muscle and you're stretching it tighter than you normally would 😊

How are you feeling? Still tired. Having a harder time staying asleep too. Overall I do have more energy.
Raves/Rants: I just can’t wait for the AS scan to be over with and everything be good with that
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? We stayed at a beach house that was less than a mile walk to Lake Michigan a lot of summers. I love sunsets and the lake.
@raesky1111 I always get painful pee around my 4 am trip to the bathroom. My bladder is getting smaller but I’m really making an effort to drink more. It’s so strained!
Upcoming appointments: check up tomorrow, AS on the 24th
How are you feeling? Stressed, bad insomnia, my back hurts on and off
Raves/Rants: my boobs are definitely getting bigger despite the fact that DS is still nursing from time to time. Hubby actually was the one who first commented on it.

How are you feeling? Overall good. Easily exhausted and boobs are itchy. Still producing a lot of bloody boogers.
Raves/Rants: I cannot keep my maternity pants up and it is driving me batty. I am bottom heavy and carry my weight in my thighs and butt. So I have to buy pants that fit those spots, but they do not nip in at the hip and gap huge above my butt. They basically assume I am as big as my butt the rest of the way up. I spend all day pulling my pants up unless they are leggings. My maternity physique is basically a large S from the side because as my belly grows so does my butt.
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? Oh jeez. That is so hard. I had a really happy childhood. Generally I have always loved being with my mom's side of the family. They are loud and happy and get along really well. When I was very young my grandparents had a cottage on a large lake and after they sold it they built a log home on a small lake. I adored frequent family gatherings at both and still love getting together with that side of the family although they sold the log house on the lake last year.
How are you feeling? I finally caved and got a prescription for zofran and although I am taking a low dose very sparingly I actually feel pretty human today.
Raves/Rants: I am always starving but nothing sounds good and everything gives me indigestion.
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? On the weekends my mom and my grandma would go grocery shopping/errand running/garage saleing and my siblings always wanted to go with but I really liked to stay with my grandpa. We would have coffee on the patio. He would read his newspaper and I would bring a book or he would tell me stories about his childhood or my mom and my aunts. My grandparents lived across the street from us for my entire childhood and their house was usually full of family with my loud and crazy siblings and cousins running amuck but I was a really quiet and bookish kid it meant a lot to me to have this little oasis of calm hang out time with my favorite grown up every week.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green (however, my husband knows already...he knew when I was pregnant with the twins and didn't tell anyone either so I let him know this time...I think it helps him bond with the baby)
Baby is the size of a(n): avocado
Upcoming appointments: Had a peri and OB appt yesterday
How are you feeling? Great...it's strange, compared to the twins I don't feel pregnant at all
Raves/Rants: I moved to a new town 6 months ago and had established with an OB and perinatologist up here however, I don't feel comfortable with either of them and so I have switched back to the OB and peri that I had for the twins. Although they are 1.5 hours away I am so much more comfortable with them and the hospital!
Questions: No questions; just wanted to say that I was MIA for a few weeks due to a covid-19 scare (i'm a physician so we get exposed a lot) but luckily after my quarantine I'm fine! But I was confused when I started lurking again and we had one combined thread for check-ins...were the separate weeks not very active? I'm guessing this board in general is kind of quiet.

How are you feeling? Feeling all the symptoms. This pregnancy has been pretty rough. I had horrendous nausea/vomiting first tri. I'm still nauseated 100% of the time, but not throwing up daily. No energy + managing a toddler at home. Feel like I can check off all the pregnancy symptoms to some degree.
Raves/Rants: Being pregnant with twins + staying at home with my toddler + being quarantined = taxing everything I have. I'm not built for any part of that. Additionally, I am gigantic. Seriously. Ginormous. I'm look 6-7 months pregnant.
Questions: None.
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood?
Hard to choose one, but we spent a lot of our summer time in Tahoe, CA and I have many fond memories of playing in wildflower fields, playing in a wooden "fort" we built in the backyard, picking blackberries, so many wonderful outdoorsy things that makes me nostalgic this time of year.
@greyl That's a nice memory! I do Ispy with my toddler all the time. He loves "find its". Hope you get some reassurance tomorrow!
@raesky1111 Totally get the painful pee. I honestly am peeing SO much. We have a new puppy and a toddler, so I'm always like "we all need to go pee!" every hour. Haha! But, middle of the night I find it is pretty painful. Second what everyone else says.
@linz36 Glad you are doing okay. The weekly check ins were merged because either no one was starting them or no one was responding. Even as one check in it is still a pretty small group.
@Louise_Belcher Your childhood memory made me happy because we own a lot on a private lake (someday we hope to build on it) and we love to be out fishing or playing in the water catching frogs and crayfish. My step kiddos were teens when we started going out there and they loved it they were like little kids the moment we would get there. I can’t wait to spend time out there making memories with my boys. 2 loves the sand and the water, such magical place for kiddos.
@beaandthebabes I love lake life! It would be a dream for us to have a cottage on a lake some day. The log home that they lived in full time was on a very small lake with only 6 homes all of which were log. It was such a beautiful setting.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out in 4 weeks!
Baby is the size of a(n): avocado
Upcoming appointments: this Thursday!
How are you feeling? Feeling okay, a little stressful as my symptoms have stopped and I am worried about the baby. Also going crazing from working from home, week 4 for me! Raves/Rants: nothing to rant really, outside of I can’t ever sleep in! The pets don’t let me sleep in !
Questions: trying to create a list of what I will need for September and I feel very overwhelmed with all of the options! FTM here lol definitely need help!
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood?
Going to an amusement park with my siblings and cousin! I was maybe 12 and it was the most perfect day!
I'm glad to hear slightly painful pee is normal!! Was a bit worried but y'all have alleviated my fears!
I'm only slightly beginning to stress for September, I think if I start making a monthly checklist I'll be okay (things to do each month, supplies I need to have, etc)
Upcoming appointments: I'll have the first visit with my pregnancy nurse on the 14th.
How are you feeling? Like I could push a car up a hill. I'm overwhelmed with awe on the daily at what this body is doing! Thank god the first trimester is over!
Raves/Rants: Anyone else feel like they didn't know what thirst was until they were pregnant? I'm hit with these waves of thirst where I literally cannot do anything until I've downed two glasses of water 😂
Questions: Anyone else's nipples super dry, itchy, and kinda peely? Not the areolas...just the nipple part? Ah pregnancy...
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? Picking wild raspberries in my grandma's backyard in the UP of Michigan
Baby is the size of a(n): No clue! Avocado? Onion?
Upcoming appointments: Should be on the 23rd, we'll see!
How are you feeling? HUGE. A little jealous of the ladies saying they're not showing much. Although I think 80% of my baby bump is Cake.
Raves/Rants: @cecelia12345 I also worry when I feel fine and don't feel the baby move for a while (which is often since I'm still so early). And she's still little enough that I can't always tell if it's baby or a gas bubble!
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? Oh man, what a good question! I think my favorite might be when my dad started teaching me to drive when I was 10. I learned in a huge empty parking lot! By the time I was about 13 I was driving him everywhere. My oldest son is 10 and I just started teaching him too It was actually really great because when I turned 15 and started driving, I had five years of seat time with a parent in the car - all that "dangerous inexperienced driver" didn't apply!
How are you feeling? still awful. I just want to be able to eat food again.
Raves/Rants: just still feeling miserable and on top of anxiety over my husband's not having a job and stress from school I'm close to a breakdown.
Questions: Anyone get an AFP test done? Apparently my level is slightly elevated and I am at a slight increased risk for a smaller than normal baby or pre-eclampsia. The doctor said don't worry and it would probably just mean an additional scan at 30 weeks to measure growth but I worry about everything so....
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? I grew up in a small town and we had a pretty tight knit neighborhood with kids all pretty close in age range. We would play wiffle ball in front of our house and my dad was always the pitcher. We would always gather after a good game and eat flavor-ice popsicles on our front lawn. Those were simpler times.
@linz36 Glad you're going with the OB you feel comfortable with-- that's so important. I'm pregnant with twins this time and it's SO much harder than my singleton pregnancy. Glad you're having the easy one now, with twins and a pandemic.
@Louise_Belcher I have the opposite problem. My bump is SO big compared to my butt. At least you're bootilicious. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's scan! Do you have boy/girl preference?
@beaandthebabes Glad you're feeling better with zofran. Have you tried high protein foods to help with the hunger/indigestion problem?
@cecelia12345 Your symptoms have let up: that's what 2nd tri is supposed to be about! But I hope you get reassurance tomorrow!
@emohay1988 +1 to itchy boobs, the whole thing. I don't think dry/peeling nipples are uncommon at all. You can put coconut oil on them, that should help a lot. Are you seeing a midwife?
@angbaby83 I was supposed to get mine today. I told them I didn’t want it since I wasn’t sure if insurance would cover it but I’m pretty sure she did it anyway because there was a vial that was separate from the NIPS kit,
I got my NIPS today so I’ll be awaiting those results In the next couple of weeks. Did anyone use the lab invitae?
@jayandaplus I have tried EVERYTHING lol with my last pregnancy I threw up at least once a day for 39 weeks plus the heartburn (people kept joking that my baby would be hairy and he was like a little werewolf baby when he was born lol) and indigestion. I guess my body just doesn’t love having a guest.
Upcoming appointments: Had a check in with my GP on Monday. They made my referral to my OB from my previous pregnancy when I last was in (start of Mar) & still haven't heard back.
How are you feeling? Fine other than the heartburn
Raves/Rants:
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? My family of 5 would drive from Ontario to Florida each summer for a week when we were all younger ... it was nice to have the family time
@angbaby83 I never had an AFP but my doc did put me on a daily baby aspirin since I had gestational hypertension last time (although never any pre-e symptoms). Has your doc mentioned that?
I'm so sorry about the digestion problems @beaandthebabes. I keep forgetting I'm relatively lucky to be mostly over those after the first tri! I'm actually cooking again, which is good because I'm also eating a lot!
@cecelia12345 yeah, babies need a lot of stuff! But some of the essentials can wait for after September, if that helps at all
Hey @linz36 missed you! I have such respect for all Healthcare workers now and forever. I'm so glad you're still healthy.
EDD/weeks+days: 15+6
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: green atm!
Baby is the size of a(n): jar of nutella
Upcoming appointments: Telehealth appt next week, should have AS early in May
How are you feeling? Pretty good lately, now that the ickiness of the first tri is over I honestly keep forgetting I'm pregnant - more important stuff going on, I guess!
Raves/Rants: haven't felt much movement yet but the past couple days I think I've been feeling little thunks which I HOPE are baby. Hope it becomes more obvious soon!
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? I have a lot too! Our family went camping a lot in the summers and I have tons of good memories from that. My mom was a college professor and taught a "Maymester" in Europe and one year the while family got to go tour around with them (and I got to miss the last month of 5th grade!). It was amazing.
@jennifer_louise the MFM doctor just said I would need a growth scan at 30 weeks. I am sure I will get to talk more about it at my 20 week appointment. She said not to worry but I have anxiety so I worry about everything. I took baby aspirin last time because my doc suggested it given my history of RPL. I know that it is supposed to help with preeclampsia so I asked the regular ob if I should take it this time around. That was before the AFP results and he pretty much said “sure take it. It’s not going to hurt you. Doctors tell everyone to take it.” I didn’t get the impression he thought it would do much but I’ve been taking it.
@cecelia12345 Don’t get too overwhelmed. The nice thing is that there are a lot of things you won’t need right away (and frankly a lot of things that you won’t actually need at all) You’ve got this and you’ve got time. Start with the basics and focus on one choice at a time. I like to use youtube reviews when I’m researching a product because I need to see the product in use to really figure out if it is what I want.
Baby is the size of a(n): pomegranate, foot is the size of a gummy bear!
Upcoming appointments: April 23 midwife, May 1 AS
How are you feeling? Pretty good now, I'm in a sleep routine now and I know what foods to avoid. Have been able to eat an entire meal and feel good at the end for the past few days- forgot about how good that feels!
Raves/Rants: We have been avoiding going out if possible, and have been accomplishing a lot of projects around the house finally which feels so good. Next week we're hoping to get the baby's room painted and furniture moved in! Another rave- sex is enjoyable again, was beginning to wonder if it ever would.

GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? We used to go on road trips around the country to visit extended family. I loved seeing all the new places and the hours of playing games with my brothers!
Upcoming appointments: Monday, 4/13 I need to schedule my AS
How are you feeling? I've been feeling a lot of belly discomfort especially lying down to sleep. I've been using a contrived pillow nest, but I think I need one of those big U shaped pillows
Raves/Rants: I thought I could start dialing back on the anti-nausea meds, but as soon as I skipped a dose the feeling came right back. I haven't been throwing up recently though
Questions: none
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? My family sold Christmas trees, and I loved running through the rows of trees with all my cousins and having big family dinners
Upcoming appointments: regular appt on 04/20. My anatomy scan is not till 24 weeks in June 😒
How are you feeling? Morning sickness is almost completely gone! When you are in the thick of it, the 2nd trimesters seems so far away!!! I have been having cramping which I don’t remember having at this stage in my other pregnancies but I’m also have twins and I feel huge and already feeling uncomfortable.
Raves/Rants: this week has been really hard emotionally. We have a small house and I feel like we are on top of each other. It’s been raining so the kids have been inside. My 7 year old doesn’t want to do school work and it’s a constant battle with her. It’s driving me crazy. It takes her hours to do what should take maybe 45 min. I hate not having an end date to the shelter in place.

Upcoming appointments: Just has my A/S today. Baby is WILD, but sooo cute. Even yawned for the “camera.”
How are you feeling? Good just kind of depressed and extremely anxious with the Covid stuff still.
Raves/Rants: I’ve been in a mood all day because there was a case of Covid at DH’s work. No one he’s in contact with, but it’s the point. I just want him home.
Questions:
GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood?
I think, honestly, being picked up from school by my Grandpa and going to McDonald’s! Another memory that comes to mind is when he would let me spit my medicine out because I didn’t like the taste. Ha! Unfortunately he passed away from Cancer when I was 8 (he was only 49).

I'm only slightly beginning to stress for September, I think if I start making a monthly checklist I'll be okay (things to do each month, supplies I need to have, etc)
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue!
Baby is the size of a(n): artichoke
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink!

GTKY: What is a favorite memory you have from your childhood? My family of 5 would drive from Ontario to Florida each summer for a week when we were all younger ... it was nice to have the family time
I'm so sorry about the digestion problems @beaandthebabes.

You’ve got this and you’ve got time. Start with the basics and focus on one choice at a time. I like to use youtube reviews when I’m researching a product because I need to see the product in use to really figure out if it is what I want.

Questions: none
