I don’t think I’ve had a chance to share yet. We found out at our anatomy scan at 22 weeks that our son had passed. On October 15th he was born sleeping we named him Jack Andrew. After post delivery testing we learned he had Trisomy 21 which caused a heart defect and is why he passed.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?
I feel like I’m doing really well. We know that this baby boy Ryan doesn’t have any chromosomal issues. But we are sneaking up on when we lost Jack. It was between 19-21 weeks. After the anatomy scan I know I’ll feel a lot better. But all the COVID-19 stuff is extra stress I don’t need.

Any upcoming appointments?   April 20th our anatomy scan.

Any milestones? Or milestones you are trying to get to? (Made it to a specific week, heard baby’s heartbeat, baby bump, baby movement, etc).
Baby Ryan moves a lot! It’s a blessing really to feel him move so much

What’s an activity you found that helps you feel calm or at peace?
Praying has brought me a lot of comfort. I’m thinking of picking up drawing again too.

GTKY: What have you bought for baby?  We have bought him a blanket with his name on it and I have bought him like 4 rainbow outfits. Trying to keep it as boyish as I can but they really don’t have a ton of boy rainbows.

Share your PGAL if you’d like would to: I'm on my 5th pregnancy, but only the 2nd that's gone this far. The other 3 were first tri losses at 5w, 6.5w, and 8.5w

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Well, I managed to throw up immediately after taking my nausea and anxiety meds last night so not so great today in particular.
I'm definitely anxious about what all this virus stuff will do to our plans for the rest of the pregnancy, and about myself or DS getting sick.
And, as mentioned, I'm still struggling with nausea, despite a change in medication

Any upcoming appointments? I have a check in April 3

Any milestones? Or milestones you are trying to get to? (Made it to a specific week, heard baby’s heartbeat, baby bump, baby movement, etc) I'm just waiting to know what we're having!

What’s an activity you found that helps you feel calm or at peace?
    Watching movies

GTKY: What have you bought for baby?
Honestly, nothing yet. We have a lot of stuff left over from DS so really all we need to buy is the small stuff, or clothes if it's a girl.

2013: got pregnant with our son, easy peasy.
2014: got pregnant with DD1, SUPER easy peasy
2016: had a m/c in January. Took 8 months of charting/temping to get pregnant with DD2
    2019: 3 m/c. January, May and September
2020: pregnant with rainbow baby DD3

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? All symptoms are GONE. Which is a mindfu*k, but I’m so happy, cause I really couldn’t handle MS right now with all that’s going on in the world!

Any upcoming appointments? Tomorrow, and I’m super nervous. I’ve got the usual gloomy outlook that I’m going to go and doc won’t find a hb or something like that.

Any milestones? Or milestones you are trying to get to? (Made it to a specific week, heard baby’s heartbeat, baby bump, baby movement, etc)
I just wanna feel her move!

What’s an activity you found that helps you feel calm or at peace? Right now, focusing on my other kids and our new norm is keeping me pretty busy.

GTKY: What have you bought for baby? Just got her 1 onesie at Target a while ago, nothing since then.
  • @starlynn91 I had my 16 week Monday and it took the MA a little bit to find the heart beat. I first told her he’s on the other side and then he was moving like crazy so she couldn’t keep him still. I was almost like give me the Doppler I can get it lol. All that to say try to not to worry! It’s so hard. I truly understand but you will feel baby girl move so soon! Sending prayers

Found out on January 28th 2019 that our son no longer had a beating heart. I was 17 weeks along. Routine visit, couldn’t find hb sent to hospital for ultrasound where it was confirmed he had died. Induced and delivered him on February 8th.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?
Still having some nausea and my boobs are SO sore constantly.

    Any upcoming appointments?
    Not until the 9th

Any milestones? Or milestones you are trying to get to? (Made it to a specific week, heard baby’s heartbeat, baby bump, baby movement, etc)
I can’t wait to get to 20 weeks. We still have announced and trying to figure out when we’ll do that. Only our kids and a few friends/fam know. Waiting to feel constant movement.

What’s an activity you found that helps you feel calm or at peace?
    Praying. Walking.

GTKY: What have you bought for baby?
We bought a pack of Rae Dunn onesies to use when we told our daughters.
  • I'm feeling so gloomy about this pregnancy today. I just feel like something is wrong. I wish I had a doppler to ease my mine but I don't, and no money =(

  • @mflowers929 I get that! I have a Doppler and I know everything is fine. But I just have those moments and I feel like they are getting worse and worse. I just need my anatomy scan done and over to feel better...or maybe I won’t until he is born.

All that to say I’m praying for you. Everything is just fine!

DH and I wanted a family pretty soon after getting married (started trying 5 months in).

Feb-March 2017: got pregnant quickly but quickly felt something was off, lots of cramping. OB decided to do bloodwork. HCG wasn’t doubling, should’ve been almost 7 weeks pregnancy and HCG was high enough we should’ve seen something on ultrasound but repeats showed empty uterus. Diagnosed with unidentified location ectopic pregnancy, confirmed with D and C, given methotrexate. A week later found out deeper lab studies showed fetal tissue so it had actually been a failed uterine pregnancy. It was all very scary and confusing and discouraging as we now had to wait 6 months to try again because of the meds.

Dec 2017- January 2018: got pregnant again fairly quick once we could try. Spotting whole time. Baby kept measuring behind on ultrasounds (should’ve been 8 weeks fetal pole only 5 weeks). Had to wait for follow up ultrasound and miscarried naturally when I should’ve been 10 weeks (horribly painful experience which I wasn’t expecting so early, my uterus went through an hour of actual contractions- 2 ER visits for heavy bleeding and pain).

2018: decided to see RE doctor. Did tons of testing and were told that my husband had male factor infertility due to a varicocele (all counts were low). Doctor didn’t know how we got pregnant at all and said we would have to get a procedure done for him and still probably need IUI. I had a septum wall that had to be repaired and also questionable clotting panels, not enough for lovenox with “only” 2 losses. We decided to try again for a few months before doing any of that, tried for 5 months and couldn’t conceive. Then our miracle DS through private adoption came August 2018 (right around due date of the second baby we lost!). We were blessed to bring him home from the hospital but it took 10 months until we knew for sure we’d get to keep him (TPR for bio father took forever) and 14 months until finalizing adoption. Because of all this and also caring for our sweet boy we took a break from TTC and decided during that time DH would get the procedure done.

Summer 2019: decided to TTC again and fell pregnant quickly. Saw baby’s heartbeat strong during week 6 and were thrilled! But there was an issue with the placenta it was growing into the gestational sac. Doctors thought it could resolve. A week later we were blindsided and baby had passed away- then told doctors had done more research and found the placenta issue gives you a 50/50 chance of loss. I had a D and E at 9 weeks day after celebrating DS’s first birthday. Didn’t want to wait to go through a natural MC again especially to put DS through that

January 2020: found out pregnant with this baby which is Lord willing going to be our rainbow baby!! On lovenox this time because after 3 losses and with the iffy levels hematologist and RE agreed it was time to try. Also did acupuncture before conception through week 12.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Finally not puking every day but still nauseous all day and not a great appetite- lots of aversions and very specific cravings which isn’t easy with this corona craziness lol. I might have a UTI- been having back pain and urine results look off but waiting to hear from doctor. Stressed but trying to trust as we’ve never made it this far and baby’s heartbeat was perfect at OB this past week and I know UTIs are common and treatable

    Any upcoming appointments?
April for next OB check, anatomy will be May 6th.

Any milestones? Or milestones you are trying to get to? (Made it to a specific week, heard baby’s heartbeat, baby bump, baby movement, etc)
Can’t wait to feel baby but my placenta is anterior so might take awhile. Can’t wait to findout gender! Baby bump keeps looking more and more legit which is exciting and first time in second trimester!

What’s an activity you found that helps you feel calm or at peace?
Praying. Putting my hands on my belly and remembering baby is perfectly fine as far as we know. DH gives lots of reassurances which helps. He’s a glass half full type and I struggle with being the half empty type 🤦🏻‍♀️

GTKY: What have you bought for baby?
Not much yet just a couple cute onesies! Plan to start buying more once we know gender since we won’t need as much if it’s a boy
  • I keep having nightmares that they can’t find the baby’s heartbeat. We are getting close to the week we lost our last son. I just wish the nightmares would stop.
  • @ktholysz so sorry about the nightmares! Prayers for peace as you approach the week you lost your sweet son and that you can stay focused on all the good signs you’ve had thus far with this little boy!
