How are you feeling? Surprisingly good! I finally feel like I have my energy back
Raves/Rants: Rave: Baby had a party yesterday and it made me feel so reassured. Rant: Both kids are stuffy and grumpy and straight up hellions lately. My patience is one meltdown away from gone.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I cannot wait to see my kids meet and interact with baby. My 4yo is a great big brother and I can't wait see him step up even more. I'm petrified of how my 1yo will react. He's a mama's boy and doesn't like when he has to share me. That will be a hard transition.
How are you feeling? Still nauseous, Back hurts a ton but slightly more energy!
Raves/Rants: Rave: We have everything ready for our Gender reveal on the 1st! Rant: Everything for our gender reveal will be ruined if the Ohio governor doesn't allow restaurants back open by April 1st.
Questions: Anyone else have their significant other feel baby move yet? My Husband felt the baby yesterday for the first time!
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I am so excited to see how my DS is with the baby. He is so excited about a baby and he loves younger kids I can just imagine how great he will be. I am so scared of having another bad delivery!
Raves/Rants: Working from home has helped my hips so so much! It also sucks that I'm still not feeling kicks. But as long as he is growing healthy in there then that's all I care about. I've been feeling subtle things, but nothing major from the outside.
Questions: no
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm so excited to see my daughter become a big sister. She is so lovely towards him already, I just can't wait to see them interact with each other. What scares me is juggling time with two. I know it can and will be down. But I hope finding out groove won't take long.

@blackgirlmagic The transition from 1 to 2 is hard, but the best thing you can do is stick to older kid's routine and integrate baby into it. It was and is a huge lifesaver. Y'all will find your groove, like everything, it just takes time.
@mrswheeler812 I feel you on the bad delivery. My delivery with ds2 was very traumatic, so much so, that I am seeking counseling because the thought of giving birth again scares the bejeezus out of me.
Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate??? That seems huge to me! Lol
Upcoming appointments:. Not till April, luckily
How are you feeling? Okay, hips still a bit sore, generally a bit anxious about all this stuff going on, but overall not bad. I just wish we could be home enjoying everything and instead there's this cloud hanging over...
Raves/Rants: Our cloth diapers, y'all! Even DH had to admit he was relieved at least that was one thing we don't have to worry about running out of, or braving a store for. Our sourdough starter is already so much fun, too! We made rosemary crackers with the discard yesterday, which were a hit, so I will most likely whip up another batch here soon, too... No rants, because. 🤷
Oh! Another rave, so far my practice just sent out an email saying that the doulas will be allowed! So that is promising! They said partners and doulas would be classified as part of our care team. 🎉🎉🎉
Questions: I'm sorta wondering if I should go ahead and spend the money on DDs bigger mattress at least, if not the whole crib/ bed? We just spent so much extra $$ on food that I know DH doesn't want to get anything unnecessary right now. :/ I just worry if this goes on for months of having access to the handful of bigger ticket items we want to buy. Already it seems like things on Amazon are going in and out of stock. :/
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I am just so excited to meet this new little member of our household! What scares me a bit is just being exhausted and going through the whole newborn thing, plus a toddler, and depending on how much family support we are able to have around... :/ Also hoping nursing goes at least as well as or better than it did with DD. I would have loved to nurse her longer, so maybe not having to go back to the office will help? We can hope.
Upcoming appointments: Had the AS today. Next one is in 4 weeks
How are you feeling? Pretty good! The past couple of days I’ve had headaches and indigestion, but I suspect those are from anxiety, not from the pregnancy.
Raves/Rants: Rave: DS came to my ultrasound today and seemed so happy! He wanted to hold my hand and whispered “I love you.” It was so sweet. I’m going to pass on a rant today. My head has been filled with so much anxiety and negativity that I don’t need to add more 🧘♀️
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? Oh gosh. So much to be excited about. I’m excited to have a real maternity leave this time. With DS, I was teaching at a university at only had 4 weeks off before lecturing again. I was also interviewing for jobs and having to travel away from DS when he was really little. This time around, I have a great, stable job and will be able to take 20 weeks of paid leave.
I’m scared of something bad happening to the baby during delivery, which is what happened to DS.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out tomorrow
Baby is the size of a(n): a Starbucks venti cup
Upcoming appointments: A/S tomorrow
How are you feeling? I'm really enjoying all the little kicks I get from this babe. Last night they were really strong and the first visible kick that made my belly move. This is very likely our last baby so I'm trying to enjoy all the good moments that come along with being PG. Hips hurt. I've been having headaches a few times a week. I'm WFH now and feel like I may gain a ton of weight grazing all day
Raves/Rants: A/S tomorrow!! DH isn't coming with (discussed in the covid thread) so I'm going to ask the technician to write the sex down and take it to our favorite local ice cream shop. They'll give us the corresponding color for boy/girl and our daughter will dig through whipped cream to find the ice cream. We will all find out together this way! This will be a nice consolation since we can't be together for our scan. Taking @BusinessWife and @gomillis lead and no rants for me.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? Having newborn snuggles and seeing them go through the milestones. I'm scared of the sleepless nights and finding a good schedule going to 2 kids.
Upcoming appointments: Well, A/S, but we all know that's up in the air currently.
How are you feeling? Pretty normal, all things considered.
Raves/Rants: Rant: Went home this weekend for a friend's birthday gathering. Our original plans got canceled due to the current health crisis, but we did decide to meet at one of the girls' houses for a game night, which was still a good time. My rant is that there's also a lot of conflict/major changes going on in my family. My parents recently split up, and this weekend my kids and I went to meet my mom’s new boyfriend. This has all just been a very strange experience. My rave is that I am happy to be home and away from the drama.
Questions: N/A
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm most excited about the baby part; I'm scared of the giving birth again part. 🤷♀️
wildrainbow that is my plan. My daughter thrives on her routine and I don't want to mess that up. She is a big helper around the house so I will have her help me with her brother.

Babies are the size of pomegranates
Upcoming appointments: AS April 7
How are you feeling? Pretty good actually :-)
Raves/Rants: Rants: corona + working in medicine + pregnant = scary. Raves: Getting to work from home for the time being and happy to have a job where my income will not likely be affected.
Questions: None
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I could copy and paste yours word for word @kgrgreen
Upcoming appointments: Regular appointment on 3/23 and the second part of my A/S on 3/25, but who knows now.
How are you feeling? Pretty normal
Raves/Rants: Rant: My rant is that I can't find any cute baby boy nursery things. Everything is vintage style, or gray. I want color and happy and baby-like, but apparently that is not what's in style at the moment! Rave: Most of my therapy clients have canceled, which means I get to stay home and cuddle with my kitties this week.
Questions: Does anyone else have an anterior placenta? I learned I have one at my A/S last week. Anything I need to know, other than that it can dull the feeling of baby moving?
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I am excited to finally be a mom. I am terrified of birth lol.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Nausea has mostly subsided... still a bit tired with a stuffy nose that seems to be getting worse with allergies. I just bought a humidifier for the bedroom - hoping it helps.
Raves/Rants: I'm glad to be WFH. Did some cleaning and sorting through stuff this weekend and just relaxed. Binge watched Hunters on Amazon Prime... I would recommend it. Slowly adding stuff to the registry, but need to kick it up a notch.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm most excited to meet her and have our own little human family (we are a family now with the dog lol)... and dress her up in cute little outfits and headbands. My BFF sent me a onesie this weekend with flowers and her name on it and floral headbands. I cried... I'm absolutely terrified of labor and delivery.

@wednesdaygirl1019 maybe a literary theme? I have seen some cute, colorful children's book-themed room. Or modes of transportation? Trains, buses, trucks, roads etc lots of room for color. Or a zoo theme if you wanted to go with more animals?
We will be keeping our same woodland themed room and not changing the nursery much between now and when baby arrives - but I have seen lots of colorful incarnations of the whole woodland thing, too! I hear you, I can't do all the monochrome stuff for babies, even tho the basis of our room is kind of neutral, there's so many colorful things on the walls, toys, etc. that I think it's still such a pretty, fun, and upbeat space!
Baby is the size of a(n): dill pickle, according to the Ovia app
Upcoming appointments: next midwife appt on the 31st
How are you feeling? Fine. Tired. Daycares in our province just shut down for the next 3 weeks so I was home with both kids today (and will be for the forseeable). My younger DD is dick and clingy and I’m just exhausted.
Raves/Rants: I don’t know if this is a rant or rave. Probably a rant. I have been back to work for one week (my year long mat leave with DD2 ended March 9) and now I’m going to be home for the majority of the next 3 weeks with the kids. I’m tired. I was actually excited to be back at work! Oh well. Just need to get through it. I’m just so tired all the time.
Questions: I can’t think of any
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I’m excited to meet this baby and actually excited for labour and delivery after an amazing experience the second time around (last March). I had a tough delivery with my first and so I changed almost EVERYTHING about how I did and approached labour and delivery the second time (went unmedicated, mentally prepared a ton, read all the books, hired a doula, etc). Or made a huge difference compared to my first delivery! Excited to hopefully get to do it all the same again. I’m “scared” to even think how I’m going to handle 3 kids. I can barely handle 2!!
Baby is the size of a(n): Mango and as tall as the peanut butter jar I keep by the bed to satisfy those MOTN hunger pains
Upcoming appointments: AS next Tuesday... really looking forward to it and hoping it happens.
How are you feeling? Physically feeling pretty good... heart burn has been a bit better and still have aches and pains, but they've either gotten better or I've gotten used to them.
Raves/Rants: Rant: I live alone and am dealing with some major cabin fever! Rave: I've been waking up really early 5/530am-ish, and a nice thing I've done for myself is to draw a bath, light some candles, drop in epsom salts, lavender oil, and almond oil and read a book called Labor Day that a friend gave me. It's a collection of writers sharing their birth stories and they are all different and moving. Also loving the Evidence Based Birth Podcast and Four Weddings and a Funeral on Hulu (the new-ish TV series, not the movie).
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? Like @wednesdaygirl@wednesdaygirl1019 I'm excited to become a mom. It's something I wanted for a long time and wasn't sure if it was in the cards for me so I just feel really grateful. I'm most scared about navigating becoming a new parents with my son's dad. The short version of the story is we were together for a long time and we decided that at least for now we will not be together romantically (we mostly get along and like and respect each other and I think he will be an amazing dad). We are really committed to working together and are seeing a therapist who specializes in co-parenting, but it's still scary to embark on this journey w/o a partner in all senses of the word. The therapist has been great and will help us thing about the nuts and bolts of schedules, visits, but it's still overwhelming and I hope that we are both able to do our best to be kind, collaborative, and able to extend grace in the haze of those early months.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink Baby is the size of a(n): Cucumber Upcoming appointments: A/s early April How are you feeling? Overall pretty good Raves/Rants: Rave: I’ve gone through clothes to see where we are sitting and i think we’re in pretty good shape rants: my pregnancy pillow causes me to often sleep on my ear funny which causes me to wake up Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you?! excited: seeing dd1 as a big sister scared: hoping my birth is as easy as it was a dd1
Upcoming appointments: oh well... depending if it's happening. AS next week Wednesday. Wondering if I should call my doc and see if they can squeeze me in this week.
How are you feeling? Hungry ALL the time...busy not letting my anxiety take over...tired.
Raves/Rants: I am glad I can work from home. I am thankful for my supportive husband. He is the best!...trying not to rant.
Questions: none
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I just think it's going to make my husband's and my life more complete. We both love kids and never thought we'll have our own. And here we go... I am literally scared about everything. I am an anxious person. Right now I am the most anxious about a healthy full-term pregnancy. A miscarriage last year is still playing with my feelings...
Upcoming appointments: I had a standard appointment today. Next one is the anatomy scan on 4/8
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Hearing the heartbeat today made me happy. I'm sleeping pretty well compared to the last few weeks.
Raves/Rants: Rave- I'm starting to feel little kicks Thankful for some time home with my son. I find out this week what my work expectations will be since we are doing remote e-learning for the foreseeable future. Rant- probably the same as everybody else... I just need more positivity.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you?
Excited to see my son become a brother yet scared of wrangling 2 kids. There is definitely more excitement than fears. I feel like I am ready to tackle the newborn phase after having done it once before. His birth didn't go as planned so that makes me uneasy, but it has taught me to be flexible and trust that this baby will make it into the world however he or she wants to.
How are you feeling? Pretty good, the rib pain has finally gone!
Raves/Rants: Rave — We got the roof on our extension today, hopefully it won't be much longer until it's done. Rant — I'm not looking froward to the possibility of self quarantining for the next 12 weeks.
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm excited for obviously the baby but also to see DS become a big brother and to see him interact with the baby. I'm a bit worried about having 2 under 2. I'm scared of having another c-section and having two babies to look after afterwards.
How are you feeling? Pretty good other than not sleeping through the night. I wake up every few hours for no reason, not even to pee.
Raves/Rants: Rave- I have a very supportive mom and SO. They both have braved the grocery store for me and found things the other couldn't find.
Questions: none
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm excited about having my first kid. This is going to be an amazing next step in my life. I think I'm also really exciting about watching my SO become a dad. He's going to be amazing. Everything about being pregnant for the first time and having a baby scares me.
Upcoming appointments: This Friday, but I have to cancel the hospital banned all visitors under 18 years and I have no care for my daughter. Luckily I don't think it's an "essential" appt at 16 weeks. No shots or anything that I remember
How are you feeling? Okay! Honestly kinda lazy. Now that my nausea has faded and I'm not as tired, I'm kinda in the habit of doing limited housework 😅 I'm kinda digging my husband doing everything. I think he's starting to get annoyed though...
Raves/Rants: We have IEP meetings at work that still need to be held since they didn't extend deadlines due to the school closures. So I have to go in tomorrow. There's also an option to call in, but I'd be the only one doing that. I don't know what to do. It would be easier to just go in since I have 4 meetings and I am the one running them, BUT I also don't want COVID. It will be a room of about 6 people. Who knows how seriously they've been taking this? I have one meeting on Friday I will call in for sure because my husband won't be home to be with my daughter.
Questions:
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you Seeing my daughter have a sibling!!! I'm not looking forward having to split time between two kids. It will be a huge change for my daughter. I've also heard a lot of 2nd time mom's say they start getting super annoyed with their first born after they have a second and I don't want that to happen 😭
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@wednesdaygirl1019 I had an anterior placenta with my DS and it really doesn't change much. As long as its not close to your cervix the only other difference you may see is them taking just a little longer to find the heart beat, and of course less movement in the beginning.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out in three weeks, hopefully!
Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate
Upcoming appointments: 3/27 checkup, 4/8 A/S
How are you feeling?: Stuffy still. Also my forehead feels hot constantly, but I’ve been checking my oral temp once or twice a day and never get over 99. Paranoid I guess.
Raves/Rants: It’s gorgeous this week, sunny and low 60s through Saturday. Magnolia trees are blooming already and they’re stunning as always. It’s a bizarre paradox with the current state of things, but I’ll take it.
Questions: When am I going to feel this baby move??? (Rhetorical of course, just impatient!)
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you?: Honestly, everything is both exciting and terrifying. Isn’t that how everyone feels, at least as a FTM?
rivercitynik I think that it's great that you all are working on this now, instead of waiting until the baby gets here when things will be stressed. Do you all plan to move closer to each other or to keep things how they are, if you don't mind me asking? samsonator I'm assuming you a/s will be done at the hospital as well? I would start to think about who can watch your daughter during that appointment. Also, screw what everyone else is doing and call into the meeting. They have a call in number for a reason. It may feel a little different to run a meeting through the phone, but I would not go in if I didn't have to.

@blackgirlmagic you can totally ask He currently lives in Brooklyn, but is moving to central VA sometime next month. He found an apartment less than a mile from my house and it's a nice/pretty walk between the two places. I'm grateful he is moving and I know it's hard for him since all of his family is in NY. We haven't lived in the same place in 3.5 years so it will be interesting to be in the same town again. There have definitely been some really hard moments but we are both committed to creating a positive, happy, and stable little family unit, even if it looks different than more traditional families
Thanks for sharing @rivercitynik. I'm truly loving all of this and wish the best for your little family! If only more people put the child first before themselves.

Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado
Upcoming appointments: 4/8 for AS
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Nausea has mostly subsided... still a bit tired with a stuffy nose that seems to be getting worse with allergies. I just bought a humidifier for the bedroom - hoping it helps.
Raves/Rants: I'm glad to be WFH. Did some cleaning and sorting through stuff this weekend and just relaxed. Binge watched Hunters on Amazon Prime... I would recommend it. Slowly adding stuff to the registry, but need to kick it up a notch.

I am literally scared about everything. I am an anxious person. Right now I am the most anxious about a healthy full-term pregnancy. A miscarriage last year is still playing with my feelings...

Baby is the size of a(n): avocado

Baby is the size of a(n): artichoke
Upcoming appointments: AS in two weeks
How are you feeling? Pretty good, the rib pain has finally gone!
Raves/Rants: Rave — We got the roof on our extension today, hopefully it won't be much longer until it's done. Rant — I'm not looking froward to the possibility of self quarantining for the next 12 weeks.
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm excited for obviously the baby but also to see DS become a big brother and to see him interact with the baby. I'm a bit worried about having 2 under 2. I'm scared of having another c-section and having two babies to look after afterwards.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink
Baby is the size of a(n): Dollar bill
Upcoming appointments: A/S Wednesday the 18th
How are you feeling? Pretty good other than not sleeping through the night. I wake up every few hours for no reason, not even to pee.
Raves/Rants: Rave- I have a very supportive mom and SO. They both have braved the grocery store for me and found things the other couldn't find.
Questions: none
GTKY: What are you most excited about having a baby? What scares you? I'm excited about having my first kid. This is going to be an amazing next step in my life. I think I'm also really exciting about watching my SO become a dad. He's going to be amazing. Everything about being pregnant for the first time and having a baby scares me.

Baby is the size of a(n): avocado
Upcoming appointments: This Friday, but I have to cancel the hospital banned all visitors under 18 years and I have no care for my daughter. Luckily I don't think it's an "essential" appt at 16 weeks. No shots or anything that I remember
How are you feeling? Okay! Honestly kinda lazy. Now that my nausea has faded and I'm not as tired, I'm kinda in the habit of doing limited housework 😅 I'm kinda digging my husband doing everything. I think he's starting to get annoyed though...
Raves/Rants:
We have IEP meetings at work that still need to be held since they didn't extend deadlines due to the school closures.
What scares you
Seeing my daughter have a sibling!!! I'm not looking forward having to split time between two kids. It will be a huge change for my daughter. I've also heard a lot of 2nd time mom's say they start getting super annoyed with their first born after they have a second and I don't want that to happen 😭
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Isn’t that how everyone feels, at least as a FTM?
samsonator I'm assuming you a/s will be done at the hospital as well? I would start to think about who can watch your daughter during that appointment. Also, screw what everyone else is doing and call into the meeting. They have a call in number for a reason. It may feel a little different to run a meeting through the phone, but I would not go in if I didn't have to.
