I’m off work for 8 days, not intentional, just worked out that way...I should probably plan some meals...
@profmcgonagall do you use an app or anything to come up with that awesome menu? I’m a decent cook, but I struggle with planning for sure. Also, may steal some of your ideas!
@mkp0903 I just choose whatever sounds good at the time. I keep a running list on my phone of the meals my family loves and usually pick 2-3 of those and a couple new ones
Me: 27 DH: 27 Married 6/15/13 BFP #1 5/8/16, EDD 12/31/16- DD born 9/10/16 at 24 weeks ~In our hearts forever~ BFP #2 10/14/17, EDD 7/1/18
We meal planned before finding out I was pregnant and my previous pregnancies I’ve had HG and major food aversions, so now it’s just the waiting game of how long I’ll be able to eat, and what things I won’t be able to eat this time.
Mon-smoked chicken, veggie, Brown rice/quinoa blend Tues-salmon, veggie, cauliflower stir fry Wednesday- oldest DD has softball practice so it’ll depend on that Thursday-steak, veggie, sweet potato
veggie choices this week are green beans, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, asparagus
For breakfasts and lunches I picked up hardboiled eggs, Regular eggs, chicken sausage, avocados, ground turkey to make bunless turkey burgers.
We have a lot going on the latter half of the week, so I really only had to meal plan three meals (thank goodness, because the thought of cooking right now is making me want to hide under the covers).
M - Potato soup T - Shrimp tacos W - Greek pasta salad T- Trivia night F - I have overnight base duty, so most likely leftovers S - Our friends' wedding
Honestly, I'm mostly excited about the potato soup, lol.
Monday- Slow cooked pork with homemade mac n cheese Tuesday- Out to eat- Potato pizza and gelato Wed- Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup Thurs-Leftovers Friday-Asian stir fry Weekend- pry some takeout. We shall see what else this post inspires.
I thank the dear lord, universe, Mother Nature, yoda, all things holy that my husband cooks because I just can’t this week. But here’s our menu that I’ll try to partake in the eating of.
M- black bean and green chili burritos with spinach salad T- falafel with spinach salad W- butternut squash risotto with asparagus Th- food co-op F- dinner at in-laws S- pizza and southwestern salad S- curried tomato tortellini soup with bread
