Sooo, February's almost over but I figure I can cheat by lumping the rest of the month in with March!
We're doing well -- the renovation project finally wrapped up so we've been slowly putting our house back together and setting up my new office and Anne's playroom. That is, we WERE putting our house back together until we had another leak in the hot water pipes in the master bath. It's not the first time we've had a leak in those pipes -- we had one in another section of the master bath 3 years ago that ended up with us basically renovating the bathroom because they found mold when they were fixing the drywall. So my husband decided to have the plumber completely rerun the water lines in that bathroom. They did that in two days but we're still looking for a handyman/drywall guy to put the room back together. So we've all been using Anne's bathroom lol.
Anne had a little fever on Monday and Tuesday but not since so I'm hoping to see her back to school on Friday. I knew something was brewing since she had a runny nose on Monday and felt warm when she woke up from her nap (it was a school holiday). Sure enough, checked her temp and it was 101.2. Didn't get any higher than that so a pretty mild fever overall. But other than that, it seems like we're over the huge phase of sickness (knock on wood).
We've made the decision to send her to 5 days a week summer 'camp' (that's what they call the summer session at her preschool). It was my husband's idea at first when he heard she'd be missing all the bounce house days and water fun days because of her part-time schedule. I think she'll enjoy it --- she LOVES her school --- and I'll get more time at work which is always good for me. I'm one of those people who need to keep their mind busy or I start going crazy. I've also been picking up quite a bit more work at the office now so it will be nice to have two extra days to keep up on that stuff.
We're also on the verge of starting to begin potty training -- Anne's potty should arrive any day now so we can start introducing it to her. She's been saying 'peepee' about wet diapers and occasionally 'poopoo' about dirty ones so I think she's just on the brink of being ready.
Hope everyone had a good Valentine's day!!

We don't normally go for all the bells and whistles, but we opted for the flushing musical potty from FP as our rock 'n play recall replacement. Of course it's on backorder 🤦 So far we just have the basic little 1-piece Ikea potty chair in her room, and an extra potty seat ring + step stool in each bathroom. Not that we are fully ready to start potty training YET, but I figure she is showing some signs, so it's nice to feel a bit more ready... Plus three packs of undies.
As for the other whole situation, we are mostly pretty good. Just hunkering down as much as possible like the rest of the world... my next appointment isn't until early April, so I'm not sure yet what they're going to do about my anatomy scan and fetal echo. I just figure we'll cross that bridge when we get closer to it. DH is still working for now, so we'll try not to have him bring any bugs home I guess, and hope for the best!
Hope everyone is staying well! ❤️❤️❤️
