What products do you recommend for teething?
Re: Product Spotlight: Teething Accessories
I highly recommend bibs for all the drool! We loved the Aden & Anais Bandana Bibs and Burpy Bibs, we kept these on almost all the time. It helped prevent DD's clothes from getting soaked and needing so many outfit changes. Their cheeks can get rosy and chapped too so something for keeping the cheeks moisturized. You also want to keep the moisture out of their chin rolls or they can get rashes!
As for teethers themselves. We had maybe 5 total and I liked the Nuby Silicone Teethe-eez Theether the most. Also (when old enough) putting frozen fruit in the food pouch things. We had the Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder (mesh one) and it was fine. Sort of difficult to clean, I want to try the Boon ones this time around.

Luckily with DD she did really great with teething and wasn't bothered by it until the molars came in. We did Tylenol/Motrin for pain at night during that time. We also ended up borrowing an Amber Teething Necklace from a friend for during the day and it seemed to help her a lot with the pain. A few things to note on these, they are not meant for the kid to chew on, they work by sweating and the amber/whatnot gets absorbed into the skin.
Once DD started getting molars (her 1 year old ones and 2 year old ones) she was way more prone to getting sick... in particular ear infections. I think it has to do with just having more pressure and swelling in the jaw at that time. With her 1 year molars she got croup, a lingering cough, 2 ear infections and pink eye all within 3 months. Doctors will tell you that kids cannot get high fevers because of teething. I don't care what they say, DD would get 102+ fevers with teeth coming in and no other symptoms (until her molars started coming) and then be fine once the tooth broke through. Also the molars take forever! I guess they can come down a bit and then go back into the gums and then come down again. All four corners do not break through the skin at the same time either.

TTC#2 April 2019I bought all the drool bibs and didn't use any of them because she was not a drooler. She loved chewing on Sophie the giraffe, but chewed her fingers more than anything. We had a couple other chew things but she wasn't a big fan. After her 6 month teeth the others came in fast she had all of the 8 front ones by 9 months and I'm pretty sure the last 6 came in during a 3 week period where her sleep sucked and she needed to be attached to my boob for tooth pain 24/7. Really aside from increased nursing and lack of sleep I wouldn't have realized when she was teething because during the day she was fine.
She loved this comotomo teether.

Our favorite teethers were silicone fruit/flower looking ones with green flexible stems from Amazon. Came in a 5 pack for cheap, so I kept one everywhere. The shape was the only type she would hang onto. Both my kids avoided frozen anything, even teething.

luckily DS wasn't super horrible with teething - it never was at the point that we felt like medication was needed. I also recommend bibs everyday - saves a lot of soaked shirts!
