  • I hate boyshort underwear (and the "cheeky" style). I mean, I don't care what YOU wear, whatev it's your body, but they feel SO AWFUL to me, they just immediately crawl straight up my cheeks, into the crack and feel nasty while giving me ALL of the panty lines.

I used to have a go to brand that made an actual women's cotton stretch boxer brief, that went past my butt and the legs stayed down on my thighs. THOSE were freaking awesome. They stopped making them at least 10 years ago now and I still mourn them.

  • I think pretty much all shows like Survivor and the Bachelor need to be cancelled. That being said my guilty pleasure is the Masked Singer, I want fun TV back!
  • @pourmeanothermocktail I can't agree! Boy short cut underwear is the only underwear that doesn't crawl straight up my cheeks!
  • @mamaj1220 MH and I both love The Masked Singer!
  • @mamaj1220 I see your Survivor and Bachelor, and I'll raise you... my UO is that I don't like any reality TV. I'll watch it if it's on, but I don't watch it for fun. I also don't like most TV dramas like Grey's Anatomy or This is Us. If it's emotional, I won't watch it. I only watch dramas if it's a SciFi drama or if it's a crime/murder drama.

Considering my previous UO is that I don't like chocolate, I'm pretty sure I lost all my friends in this group

  • @mamaj1220 @drkoyya I also don't like most reality TV and while I used to like Grey's anatomy I can't remember the last time I watched a drama show like that. Comedies all the way for me. I do enjoy my great British baking show and other craft related competition shows, which I guess is considered reality sort of.
  • @drkoyya if you have Amazon Prime check out the series Eureka, cheesy lighthearted sci-fi all the way.
  • @lisush I love great british bake off!!

  • @heyybritt @lisush recommendations if you like the British bake off:
    Making it on Hulu
    Nailed it on Netflix
  • @lisush I'm with you on the comedies! DH gets so mad when we try to have a movie night because I'll pretty much only watch comedies although I have made a couple exceptions lately with This is Us and The Resident.  I really don't watch too much tv though.  Super pumped that Brooklyn 99 is back on this week though!
  • @emlettuce I love both of those two 😂 I was watching Nailed It on a plane once and laughed so hard I cried

It must have something to do with shape. I'm glad it works for you. I literally can't take one step in them, or put pants on over them without everything going straight up and in. Granted a lot of types try to do this to me, but boyshorts are the worst. I wish they were actually SHORTS!!!! Lol.

  • @drkoyya no loss here in fact I think we just became best friends! I can't do those over dramatic shows, Grey's I tried and just, it's a no from me. I also watched a Million Little Things for the first few episodes but I don't want to go to bed sad. I want something to make me feel good (though I am a sucker for Criminal Minds). But I watch stupid things like Ridiculousness because it makes me laugh.
  • @bananapanda Brooklyn 99 is my favorite! I miss community too I loved that show (I rewatch it regularly) but here is my comedy show UO, I don't understand the appeal of The Office. It is really not that good and might as well throw this in here, I cannot stand Harry Potter! Not the books, movies nothing!
  • @bananapanda @mamaj1220 I should’ve mentioned that my genre of choice is comedy, the cornier the better. Love Brooklyn 99 and just got done watching the two new episodes 😁

@pirateduck Thanks for the recommendation. I watch way too much TV and was looking for a new show to binge.

  • @mamaj1220 agreed, I do not like the office. MH has been watching it on Netflix and it drives me mad. I did read all the HP books but can’t make it through a movie for the life of me.
  • @mamaj1220 welp, it was nice knowing you. I love The Office and I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd.
  • The underwear conversation makes me want to rant for a second...  I think you ladies all know about your go to brand/cut of underwear and how superior it is to everything else out there, and early in pregnancy I went to buy more of mine only to discover it's discontinued and doesn't exist anymore.  I have yet to find a suitable replacement and don't want to spend a bunch of time, money, discomfort trying alternatives.
  • @pirateduck noooo, that is the worst!
  • @pirateduck EW! I'm so sorry!!! 10 years later I'm still searching for the perfect solution, though I've finally found some OK cheap options.

  • @mamaj1220 I also don't see the obsession with The Office.  I tried to watch it once since everyone raved and barely made it through a few episodes.  If DH is watching it I sometimes I find myself half listening and will laugh maybe once an episode at something totally stupid, but it's nothing something I can just sit and watch.  Also I was really into reading Harry Potter when it first came out, but after maybe 5 of the books I started losing interest.  And I've never seen a single one of the movies somehow. I wouldn't say I dislike it, just not interested in it enough to watch.
  • @mamaj1220 I never used to understand the appeal of The Office either. I think the first couple seasons were just so cringeworthy with the overt workplace sexism, harassment, and racism that it really turned me off. The middle-later seasons are slightly less terrible and are funnier in ways that aren’t totally inappropriate. Even now when I see a snippet from season 1 or 2, I am usually filled with indignation at the fact that there are workplaces that still currently have people who behave like that.
  • So I know The Office was originally a British TV series, but have not seen that version and often wonder if it's funnier or has better writers.
  • I used to hate The Office when I watched snippets in high school or college, but I watched it through with DH early last year and found it pretty funny. Definitely cringe-worthy though.

  • @mamaj1220 @drkoyya @bananapanda LOVE Brooklyn 99 and so glad they brought it back from near death.

I similarly hated the office to start because Michael Scott is the worst. But once you get more invested in Dwight and Jim it's so funny. It's the thing I keep on all the time just as background noise.

Making it is cute and I really like forged in fire (history channel I think?)
  • UO: Uhm, I have seen maybe 3 episodes of the Office (wasn't a fan), and have heard of none of the rest of these shows. We got our cable turned off in 2009, and don't even have an antenna to get local channels. We do have Netflix, and the entire series of ER and Roseanne (the two shows I fell in love with as a tween), but that's all the TV I get. So Call the Midwife and Grace & Frankie cover basically the entirety of my adult TV interest.

  • @pourmeanothermocktail I haven't had network TV in almost 5 years now, I don't know most of these shows either!
  • @pourmeanothermocktail I love Call the Midwife!
  • @emlettuce Idk, I've watched in during all three so far, but it's the only show I have to really glorify home birth, and everything makes me cry anyway, lol!

  • If we're talking awesome funny shows (my fave) then we can't forget The Good Place (RIP) and Schitt's Creek
  • @sunshinesea22 that good place finale  :'(
  • AHHH @sunshinesea22 and @emlettuce the good place! I miss it
  • @emlettuce Don't tell me! I still haven't watched the last 3 episodes...they are DVRd and waiting for tonight/tomorrow morning
  • You guys are killing me with the lack of love for The Office :(
  • @soprano19 everyone I work with LOVES Harry Potter and The Office, like Micheal Scott memes are in everyone else offices and when I told them I can't stand Harry Potter they were all shocked too. I guess I should also add to that I am not into the fantasy genre really, I love LOTR and that is about it. I like more of the horror type of stuff, like Sookie Stackhouse
  • @sunshinesea22 I love Schitts Creek!
