Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Tuesday 1/28

Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. R/R: I got a big sale last night at Zales, my second sale total but my first big one! The commission will be great but also I am just happy because it makes me feel good about working there. So that was awesome!

    CS/Q: None

@kpearse99 OMG I am the same exact way haha. I am petite but my footsteps sound like an elephant. MH always teases me about it because he walks so much lighter than I do and I make so much noise for such a small person  :D  And that is super sweet! Little things like that are the best.

  • @bserena Riiiight?? So much noise for such small people!!! Why is that?? hahaha I try and walk lighter but nothing happens  :D Great job with that sale!!! You should be proud of yourself!

Rant and STRONG TW: Having a really rough week. For those of you who missed it, I've felt like life has slapped me hard in the face after a friend of mine accidentally got his SO pregnant after barely knowing her:
    https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/comment/91316948#Comment_91316948
This morning, he tells me that he is moving back to the US (and to my state) to live with his parents (they cannot afford a child), so I will likely have to face this situation in person. How do I even begin to tell him what I've been going through? I want to be a good friend, but this feels like pure torture. I just don't know if I'm ready to see his 20 year-old girlfriend go through a pregnancy while I'm over here getting even older and falling apart at my seams. I'm about ready to give up on trying.

  • @kpearse99 I'm a very quiet walker for the most part, until I hurt myself (which I do a lot). I'm quite the klutz! And your hubby is SO sweet! AWWW! <3

  • @flowntheloop I am so sorry you are having to deal with that. You need to do what is best for you and YH, even if that means taking a step back from that friendship for awhile. Depending on how comfortable you are with him, you could consider just being honest and letting him know where you are at as far as TTC and how it is hard for you to be around that right now. I would let him know you love and support him but that you just need to step back for yourself for the time being. Remember to take care of yourself  <3  sending lots of internet hugs and positive thoughts your way.
  • @flowtheloop I am such a klutz too! I trip over my own feet quite often!

I think, if I were in your shoes, I would explain to my friend what I've been going through and that because of all of that it's going to make it very difficult for me to hear about this unplanned pregnancy and that I would appreciate it if he understood that and respected that and refrained from talking about it unless I asked questions.

R/R: I’m feeling a bit emotional today. Dh left out all of the dishes that we cooked with last night instead of washing them when he put the food away. So my morning started out annoying. And one of my cats is hurt. I don’t know if she was fighting with another cat or animal or what but she has a big wound above one her of eyes. So I guess we’ll be making a vet trip!

@kpearse99 DH sounds sweet! You little people have to make yourself heard somehow! (Coming from a 5’10 giant) haha

@bserena congrats on your big sale! It’s so exciting to make a good sale and get paid out commission!

@flowntheloop man, I’m sorry about that situation. That sounds really hard. I’m mad with you today about people who can have babies that they don’t really “want”. Yet here WE are! WTF?! I would definitely be transparent if you feel you can. You are allowed to protect your heart. ♥️

  • @photographerwife I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating morning! When it rains, it pours!

It is ridiculously difficult, honestly. I decided to write him a long letter about my situation, and I was shaking uncontrollably when I sent it. His response was pretty sympathetic and he wants to video chat more tomorrow, but I'm kind of hesitant because I REALLY hate crying/breaking down in front of people and that may be an inevitability.

  • @flowntheloop I’m so glad you wrote to him about how you feel! You are amazing for being open and honest with him. I’m sure he didn’t even think about how you’d be feeling in the whole situation because he’s been so anxious about his own. How soon is he moving back to the states? I hope you get some time to process before he arrives. ❤️

@bserena congrats on your big sale! That’s awesome!

@photographerwife I’m so sorry YH has been dropping the ball on that kind of stuff lately. I hope things get better!

@kpearse99 that is the SWEETEST story! You’ve got a good one.

R/R: My students have been awesome so far today! It’s one of those days where I’m super glad to be a teacher. Lately it’s about 50/50 so I’ll take this as a victory lol.

Also, is anyone else struggling with the app lately? I have to refresh every page several times just to get them to fully load.

    CS/Q:
  • So here is my dilemma. I don't really know if I'm WTO or TWW because this is my 1st cycle off nexaplon. So I'll pay more attention once some kind of normality is established. In the meantime, I'm just jumping in somewhere. But mostly lurking while still trying to be supportive here. Although I did test yesterday to ease my mind from all these symptoms that could be any # of TTC symptoms.

@kpearse99 i totally get the not charting thing. I'm a very obsessive person, though i try no to be and charting would be one of my obsessions.  And that is so sweet that hubby took the time to show some extra attention. Its little things that count.

@flowntheloop, it sucks you are havig  to deal with that. I agree with PP that if necessary you should step back for your mentality.
  • @singing_koala thank you :) that's awesome that your students are being so good today!

@photographerwife i'm sorry for all of the emotions, and that kitty is hurt!! Hope she is okay and that the vet doesn't charge an arm and a leg  :#

Testing: getting anxious about testing this weekend. I keep telling myself this is our first month and it's totally ok if it takes us longer. I am a very impatient person and I know that this is not a good thing to be impatient about.
In short, we are waiting for AF. According to my app it should be tomorrow, but I would like to wait until CD 30.

R/R: my boss wants me to take on an additional project/training which is super awesome except she just sent me the courses to complete and they are due on Monday. We are in the middle of our busy season and I am already slammed, so FML!

    CS/Q:
  • @flowntheloop I am glad you are explaining to him what is happening. I would not blame you for wanting to take a step back. It's hard to be a good friend and be happy for someone when your heart is aching. It's good to let him know that you ARE happy for him, but that what you are going through right now is preventing you from being present and supportive with his GF's pregnancy.

@photographerwife sorry about your cat, and the dishes in the sink! I hate doing dishes so much.
@singing_koala yay for good students! Hope the day continues to go well.
@kpearse99 such a sweet H! FX for your IUI.
    @bserena congrats on the sale!
@AshleyGemini24 obsessive person right here too, it's the worst!
  • @morethanamama oh man, that sucks about you having to complete all of those courses by Monday! Fx you can get through them quickly, it sounds like it will be so worth it!
  • @singing_koala I really do have a good one :) Embrace today and the well behaved students!!

@AshleyGemini24 yes, charting gets to be too much sometimes! I didn't temp for many cycles but the ones I did I found myself actually losing more sleep because I was anxious about taking my temp! It wasn't worth it!

@morethanamama keep up the great work with waiting it out to test!!! You got this!

  • @kpearse99  I appreciate loud walkers because I startle easily, so if I can hear someone approaching, then I am less likely to get startled.

@flowntheloop  You did the right thing about telling your friend about your situation.

@photographerwife  I hope that your cat is OK.
