@raesky1111 Oh, I love potato salad, but it's hard to find to find it without sugar. I love the red potato salad from Publix, but we don't have that here. I found some from whole foods that wasn't too bad. I had steak last night, too. It was soo good! It felt great to finally eat a real meal.

@robinj716 @greyl Ugh, I usually love eggs, but this kid is not having any part of it. Eggs make me so nauseous- doesn't matter how they are cooked. It really sucks because I would love to have the healthy protein and fat.

I had pizza tonight and it was delicious!

  • @raesky1111 I was craving potato salad a few weeks ago. Made DH take me to the store immediately to get some.

I’ve been trying to eat more protein to help with the nausea. I make an egg sandwich on a bagel for breakfast, and I get protein bars with like 20g protein for snacks. Turns out that more protein= a little less nausea for me.
  • We had BLTA’s for dinner. Oh my... it hit the spot!!

  • I felt really bad tonight because it is my birthday and Hubs wanted me to pick whatever in the world I wanted for dinner but I had been throwing up all day and nothing sounded good. I finally chose pizza because I could eat it in my house in my PJs.
  • @beaandthebabes happy birthday!!! I’m sorry you were sick all day. I hope you enjoyed your pizza at least 🤍
  • @greyl Thanks! It was pretty good. I’m not a big birthday person but my husband totally is and it made him sad not to be able to take me out and get me something special.
  • @beaandthebabes Aw I’m glad it was! That’s so nice that he wanted to treat you. I’m sure he will get the chance when you’re feeling better ☺️
  • I’m eating healthy stuff too, but... crumb donuts, raspberry danishes, and caramel popcorn too.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • I've had been having spaghetti with lemon, parmesan, butter, and pepper. It's soo good.

  • My nausea went away for a couple days and I started wanting fresh fruits and veggies. But now it came back and nothing sounds good again 🤢🤢. UGH!!!
  • Water with lemon juice is suddenly much more appetizing than plain old water, and going down better than water with mios drops for me.  I've also heard the combo helps prevent kidney stones, sure hope so!
  • I want beef fajita nachos with jalapeños, sour cream and cheese. All the time. Ha!
  • Chicken noodle soup from chick fil a.  Not from anywhere else.  Pretty sure it is not that good but it seems to be the only thing that doesn't make me feel horribly sick after eating it.  And still am having trouble drinking water and the only thing that sounds good is coke.
  • 13 weeks now and I get the weirdest cravings for gummies. It started when I walked by my husband's gummy vitamins and I was like...I could eat that whole jar. (Don't worry. Didn't eat them.) But later we went to a candy store and got some gummy bears.
Fruit and juice are the most amazing things right now. Holy mackerel.
I ate a salad the other day! Vegetables! Finally!
I'm always up for scrambled eggs (I miss over-easy eggs so much. Gimme those runny yolks.) and toast or bagels and cream cheese. Cereal with oat milk is my go-to first thing in the morning to raise my blood sugar a bit or if I'm hungry/nauseous in the middle of the night.
  • The potato salad saga continues! I've eaten my share of like five pounds of it in the last two weeks and I'm not tired of it yet so I'm assuming that's my pregnancy craving lol.

I always do mine homemade! Just peel and cut potatoes into bite size chunks, boil until you can stick a fork through various sized pieces, then drain. Add mayonnaise and mustard and dill relish to your heart's content (really I do like three spoonfuls of relish, a crap ton of mustard and I think four or five large scoops of mayo. Just gotta play with amounts), chopped boiled eggs if that's your taste. It's stupidly delicious, don't know if sugar contents would be too high but it's always tasted savory to me!
  • @raesky1111 that sounds very similar to the potato salad I make, save for the relish. We put some vinegar in instead.
Potatoes generally are my major pregnancy craving so I definitely eat a lot of potato salad, along with my fries, mashed potatoes, and chips lol

  • @poppyandpines confession: I definitely still eat runny yokes lol. I try to cook my eggs for longer but the past couple of times I’ve made them they’ve still been somewhat runny
  • I didn't know we weren't supposed to have runny yolks so I have the couple of times I've had eggs 😬

I'm a nut for dill relish in my patoot salad lol, can't get enough sometimes! It's been a while since I've had any other kind of potatoes and I miss it so much but I just get flashbacks of first trimester sickness and nope right out of it.
  • So the thing with runny yolks is the threat of salmonella. That being said, you're safer with runny yolks in a fried egg than, say, a homemade mayo. The risk is low enough for me to feel completely fine with eating them, and my high risk doctor agreed. Definitely completely your discretion though! My best friend didn't eat them her entire pregnancy and that's okay too.

  • I probably wouldn’t order over easy out to eat since I don’t know how good their eggs are, but when I’m cooking them at home I’m not that worried. I try for at least over medium
  • In that case, I won't worry too much and just try to eat them differently in the future.

My SO and I went to IHOP today after the appointment, and I got some steak tips and then didn't eat them. Ate one, settled a bit funny so I waited a few minutes then ate another and realized that I would get sick if I continued so I focused on the mashed potatoes and corn I got for sides. Was really disappointed actually, and next time we've resolved to go to Golden corral if it's open.
