I found out a few days ago that my baby is lying breech. It’s been a hard pill to swallow since I was so dead set on having a natural vaginal birth and this is my first child. My doctor gave me two choices: schedule an ECV to try and turn her manually at 38 weeks or schedule a c-section for 39 weeks.
After lots of reading and consideration I decided that the ECV didn’t sound like the right option for us due to the risks involved and the fact that it’s only successful 50% of the time. That means I will be calling my doctor to set up the c-section. I’m really nervous about it so I’m hoping that baby girl will flip before that day comes and we can skip it.
So my question is: has anyone here been successful on flipping a breech baby at home? I’m trying to do some of the exercises to encourage her to move with no such luck. Would she move slowly over time or would it be a dramatic flip? I would love to hear experiences if anyone in this situation.
