Crossing my fingers for everyone!!

I just had my check-in this morning and lining looks good. Still on schedule to start injections Friday and FET for March 27th. I am just hoping my doctor doesn't end up closing their offices due to the virus Every day I'm nervous they are going to send an email out that they will need to close for a couple weeks. I would be heart broken!

@dreamingofabump I'm having the same concerns! The hospital my fertility clinic is in called me on Friday to state that they've started a no visitors policy (that might actually only apply to the inpatient people) and that business is usual. They'll call if things change. I've done 2 injections now of the estradiol valerate so I'm like... I totally have to keep going forward right?? Hoping 

Our state currently is in the 30s for number of cases and our particular area, between my county and the one my clinic is in, is less than half the total cases so risk is relatively low so I'm hoping things don't cancel. I've already been in quarantine for a week since I was traveling in early March when things started picking up and was asked to quarantine as a precaution even though the places I visited had no cases at the time.

Hi everyone, I had my egg retrieval on Saturday and my transfer date is set for Thursday. My doctor just called me saying she thinks I should freeze and hold off on transferring. I have one frozen embryo already and was all set and prepared to get the transfer. With everything going on with Covid19, she is worried if something occurs there wouldn’t be enough hospital beds, etc, please weigh in as my excitement just deflated..

@jld0209 my clinic called today and gave a similar answer. The thought is it's best not to get pregnant right now but since I have started the stim meds I have the option to keep going or I can choose to cancel. The concern is probably more my health and a pregnancy than there not being hospital beds.

I have my next appointment on Wednesday so I've got lots of questions to ask. Like if I do cancel, do I just stop taking the meds and wait for AF, will my cycle be wonky doing that, etc? They said we'd get priority for rescheduling (to what date I have no idea) so who knows when the earliest could be if we cancel.

I've already been working from home since last week and have only gone out for groceries so my risk is quite low so I kinda want to lean into continuing but DH doesn't want to do it if there's risk of losing a pregnancy.

@inthewoods23 @jld0209 - That is such a hard decision to make and I have a feeling I'm going to be right behind you. Just waiting for that bad call. The situation in my area wasn't too bad until yesterday. They are now closing down restaurants/bars/all public venues. My 8,000+ employee company has required all who can to work from home now. 

On the one hand, it might just be a month delay but that is a long month to wait for those of us that have been trying for so long and have been through so much already. This will be a very tough and unique decision for each and every one of us. I hope everyone on this board can be supportive no matter the decision everyone makes for their own family.

I am going to go through with the transfer.  There are going to TONS of couples getting pregnant right now.  Why should I stop my life?  I will call a few OB/GYNS for their opinion as well.

@jld0209 I have the same feelings haha. Screw all these other people not practicing their social distancing. Also I generally have a good immune system and don't get sick often so I'm probably very low risk of having complications. Plus, since it seems that nothing will return to normal until late April or into May, well, that's a good chunk of the 1st trimester gone at that point. There's really no data on pregnant women in their first trimester and the virus, but it's believed it shouldn't cause baby harm.

I am so sorry for all the stress with this COVID-19 crap and I can feel your pain having JUST transferred. My clinic canceled my beta at my local monitoring location so I have to drive over an hour to the clinic now. I would transfer if I were you. If you've been "social distancing" and feeling good, there's no reason to stop. Also, what if this gets worse and you cant transfer for 6 months? How is that fair to you? My prayers go out to all of you in this limbo.

Today, I am 8dp5dt and I got a positive result on a First Response Rapid Result yesterday but am getting the faintest of lines on Amazon cheapies and slightly more visible on Dollar Store brand tests...Has anyone else ever had this? I'm hoping my beta numbers arent super low...maybe they implanted late?

@covergirl2985 yeah the timing is my worry. I booked this transfer date all the way back in January! So even if they give us priority with bookings if we choose to cancel, could that mean a transfer not for a few months? No thanks  we don't even know when they would consider it an okay time to start doing transfers or IVF again.

I think most cheapies start detecting around 25hcg while the FRERs are 6hcg or so. Your embryo may have implanted a little late. I've seen at least one person get a positive as early as 4dpt, but 5dpt is usually the earliest since that equates to about 10dpo in a natural cycle. Plenty of people don't get positives until 12+dpo naturally so I would try to not worry as best as you can since you're right on target.

@covergirl2985 a line is a line and pregnant is pregnant! The first beta number isn’t much for concern but they want to see it double with the second within 48-72 hours. 

For those worried about the virus, I feel you, but like some have said, there are plenty of people getting pregnant right now and there’s not a ton of research. My clinic and OB haven’t said anything to me that should cause me extra concern and I’m only just about 6 weeks along. That being said, I’m staying inside as much as possible, we are keeping my daughter home from daycare and I might cancel my first OB US on Friday so I don’t be have to walk thru the pharmacy area to get there. I have an US scheduled with my RE the same day (was going on cancel that one since it’s  out of pocket) but will go there Instead since the risk is lower. 

Its not an easy decison but you gotta go with your gut and whatever feels right for you!

All of your optimism is making me feel much better. That is a great point, couples are continuing to get pregnant every day on their own and hopefully our doctor's offices are one of the cleanest places to be at this point. I'm looking forward to moving on with this process with all of you!

Well my day has been a whirlwind as usual.... DH was not pleased when I said to the nurse I wanted to continue. Had another heart to heart and talked about what the next few months would look like and we've decided to cancel the transfer and actually try naturally for a few months to see if the diet change was all we needed. I've read articles that have said that gluten and/or dairy (being inflammatory) can cause issues with fertility. We have no idea anyway how long it will be before we could get back on the calendar anyway. I'm going to have DH go on a multivitamin to help out his swimmers and see where that takes us.

@inthewoods23 for what it’s worth, Feb 1st I went gluten/dairy free and I got pregnant sometime during that month so not sure if that contributed or not but it may have helped!

@mtpbadger it certainly would save us a couple grand in bills not doing a FET and even if we decide to do a FET again, I have all the meds I would need. I haven't actually opened the lupron I ordered for this cycle because I was using up what little was left in the other bottles I had from my other cycles.

@inthewoods23 when I went for my first beta at my RE, the receptionist was like, oh, you have a balance on your account that you need to pay before we can continue and I have never felt so satisfied as saying nope, don’t need to pay that right now!

Our embryos were already being grown when all this started getting serious.. So our transfer was one of the last ones before they shot down until further notice.. my company has everyone on mandatory WFH so I got free bed rest. So there is always a positive in a lot of negative I guess.
I feel good, I had some cramping first day. Today I felt basically nothing and my breasts are less sore. So i can help but wonder if it’s good or bad? 

How are your tests looking?

Beta #1 is here!

10dp5dt Beta #1 = 37!!
Beta #2 in 2 days, hoping for 70+

They wanted at least 45, but the nurse was hopeful and thinks I implanted late.

hi! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted on here. We just had our third FET on Thursday, 3/16. My clinic is making me do my blood tests at local Quest labs instead of going to the hospital. I have my first beta on 3/30!

I have a 4.5 year old from our first fresh transfer, I had a chemical in October, and a negative in January. We also lost an embryo in a thaw this round.

Well, I’m out. My numbers went from 37 to 26...on to another STIM cycle for more embabies.

As of today, I am 17dp5dt. My beta was low to start, dropped a little, then went up but didn't double. My RE wants me to stop meds...what would you do? My progesterone is also at 26.

Beta 1: 36.6 @ 10dpt

Beta 2: 26 @ 12dpt

Beta 3: 31.5 @ 15dpt

Beta 4: 54.6 @ 17dpt

@covergirl2985 did you have 2 embryos transferred? I’ve read the second beta can drop if one of the embryos didn’t make it and then it would pick up. I think I’d continue as I know how hard it is to let hope go. But we are not doctors, they for sure know better..

@covergirl2985 idk... that's tough. It so close to actually doubling though. I feel like I would want one more piece of data before deciding to give up on it. I know my heart would say give it one more beta test.

@yb_chitown yes, I had 2 embryos transferred. My ER thinks It may be a blighted ovum. But at 17dpt I should have numbers into the 100s...I just don’t want to continue to 8-12 weeks to have a miscarriage then have to start all over.

@covergirl2985 oh my goodness, what a rollercoaster. I agree with @inthewoods23 that I would want another beta just to see....

AFM, I went in for my lining check the Friday before everything got really crazy. Unfortunately, this is my third fet canceled due to a poor lining.  I honestly was a little relieved. I predicted that by the time my transfer rolled around the next week that elective procedures would be canceled, and I was correct. It sucks that my body isn't cooperating, but I think it would have been doubly heartbreaking to  finally have my body cooperate and then have to cancel due to the virus.  Our clinic has canceled all April cycles and May is still up in there. So we'll see...
