Nervous Waiting for Follow Up Ultrasound

It has been a whirlwind of a year and it just begun. On New Years day I took a pregnancy test because I was feeling so off. Come to find I had fairly dark lines! It took us 4 years to get our DD (dear daughter)who is now 17 months old. I did not expect to get a happy surprise. I wasn't sure how far along I was because I don't always ovulate and when I do it is never at a regular time. Thanks PCOS..... 

 

Anyhow, I could somewhat pinpoint from when we DTD (do the deed) and because I take ovulation test to also prevent pregnancy.. Worked for 16 months haha! Not a fail proof method, obviously. I did not get a positive ovulation test so that was no help at all! I thought that I was 6W5D during my ultrasound but all that showed was a gestational & yolk sac. Which would be fine if I were 5 weeks. But based on when I got a positive pregnancy test the very earliest I could possibly be is 6 weeks exactly otherwise a positive test wouldn't be possible. 

 

Any stories on someone getting an ultrasound at 6 weeks with no fetal pole to go on and have a fetal pole and heart beat the following week?
