Re: TTTC Check-In 1-20-2020

  • QOTW: When I was first hired for my job I was staying with family about 3 hours away. I stopped at a local coffee shop and ended up chatting with the person behind me in line. We found out that we were both going to be first year teachers and talked about that. 1 week later I showed up to my school site and there she was — we had never said where we were working yet somehow we had been hired at the same school 3 hours away!

AFM family wedding this weekend was super easy, no one even mentioned kids (yay). We have follicle check on Wednesday, hopefully trigger and IUI shortly after that.
  • QOTW: On the first day of high school my best friend and I wore the exact same outfit (jeans and top)! Lots of laughs about it now.

I am new here! Made a post on the thread, but I have PCOS and my husband has low morphology. We have been trying for 13 months. On my first cycle of Femara and Progesterone results were 7.4 so waiting for my next cycle to start in the next week or so. We will double my Femara and add a trigger shot next cycle.

@2dogsmom Glad the family wedding was fun (and stress free). Best of luck at the follicle check on Wednesday!

  • @2dogsmom GL with the IUI!

@nina205 hope this next cycle does the trick for you. And welcome!

QOTW: What is the most coincidental thing you’ve ever experienced?
The most recent is finding out my cousin's GF is related to DH's neighbors from his childhood home. She actually grew up in our area while all of my family is from out of state. Kinda weird when it's the people outside our family that are a connection that you never would have known had we all not gotten together/dated.

I finally have an update on all my results. ALL normal. My only option is to move forward with the next FET on a gluten and dairy free diet. It really sucks but I did see a dietitian today. I think just talking to people about it makes it a little easier on my mind because we are very busy people right now and the idea has been dreading to me to make the switch. Thankfully I don't need to switch cold turkey since there is a bit of a transition. On the plus side this means a transfer date of 3/31 is set in stone!

  • @inthewoods23 yay for a set 3/31 transfer date!! Sorry to hear you have to go GF & Dairy free — why is that?  I actually eat mostly dairy free (I am also vegetarian) and my mom is gluten free so I would be happy to share some recipes if it would be helpful.

AFM we had another IUI fail — apparently I had a follicle left from last cycle, so I got a positive ovulation test on day 12, super early for me, went in for an US and the follicle was huge (3.2) so probably not viable. We opted to not bother with the IUI so we are full speed ahead for IVF next. Going onto BCPs as soon as AF arrives, then have to do saline sonogram with stims probably in March. At least we have a new plan and should be able to keep moving forward.
  • @2dogsmom that's just what she's found to work when all tests come back normal. It's been a bit of an adjustment this week, but I'm mostly gluten and dairy free at this point. Gonna be getting lots of fruits and veggies for the next few months 😆. GL with your IVF cycle! Are you doing a fresh transfer?

@inthewoods23 hooray for the transfer date! that must be such a relief! take the next few months to relax and get your diet transition squared away!

@2dogsmom Im sorry you had an IUI bust. But so happy that you have a plan for IVF coming up! fingers crossed for you that all goes well!!!

QOTW: actually a very coincidental thing happened to me this week! I am a nursing student, and my current clinical instructor who is a raging B*tch, happens to be the mother of a girl i work with, who is very sweet. I almost died when that came up in conversation!!

I am excited to announce that DH submitted his Swimmers yesterday for analysis, and today one of the nurses form the clinic called and said all is well and the numbers look great! she said "he did a great job, don't let it go to his head" lol. so that's one less thing to worry about, thank goodness. Wednesday is our follow up to go over the results of all of the tests from this cycle, as well as going over the plan the doctor is coming up with for us. ill keep you all posted!

  • @nina205 so glad you joined us on here! Sorry I haven't added you to the paging section yet, for some reason the bump won't let me edit the thread. I promise to add you on next week's and in the mean time will cross my fingers that the new med dosage will help!

@abarr723 Yay for good news! It's always nice to rule one thing out!

@inthewoods23 No, we are going to do a FET. My clinic wants me to wait 2 months after ER, so assuming all goes well probably a May FET. We are doing the genetic screening etc. so hopefully May will be my month, but we'll see, one step at a time. Right now focusing totally on the ER.
  • @2dogsmom understandable. I was essentially off for 2 months just due to their schedule availability. Hope May comes quick for you!

@inthewoods23 yeah, I remember that. They want the break before the FET because we are going to do a high AMH plan where they stimulate more than normal with the hope of getting 15-30 eggs, knowing only 1/3 usually develop into viable embryos. I guess this will totally destroy my uterus lining so it’ll take 2 months to get it back to healthy. In the meantime I am on this crazy no sugar no lots of other foods diet.

Also, saw this on my Facebook feed this morning and thought of you ❤️❤️

  • @2dogsmom Interesting that it ruins the lining. I've never heard of that! And oh my look at those babies!
