    Raves/Rants:

    Questions: Nah

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I'm in Iowa. I love all the small towns, all the places to camp/kayak/boat/fish- we have a lot of options for outdoorsy people.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue! New information! H and I are mostly overwhelmed but pleased (he thought it was a girl and TBH I've spent a lot of time around little girls and may have originally preferred one but am over the moon to know it's a boy at the same time/thought it was a boy for awhile).

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Ring Pop

    Upcoming appointments: February 5th

How are you feeling? I have a bad headache today but it's probably from my whirlwind work retreat weekend that I led.

    Raves/Rants: None really

Questions: Pelvic exams at appointments - is this going to be an every appointment thing? Or do they stop in the 3rd trimester? Not my most favorite activity.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? PA - there's so much natural beauty here in addition to big cities and you're close to a lot of fun destinations that are just a 2-4 hour road trip away.

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: box of crayons (I believe just the little 8 pack, not like the gigantic 164 pack lol)

    Upcoming appointments: Next Monday! 1/27

How are you feeling? Last week was a weird week for me. I felt really run down and little appetite, but I think I had some sort of bug and it wasn't pregnancy-related.

Raves/Rants: This is more just a random than a rave or rant, but I think the rumor mill has started at my work. I just passed a coworker in the hall who said hi and then quickly glanced down at my stomach and then back up. I'm still not really showing, and I'm not planning on going around telling everyone I'm pregnant, so I'm just waiting to see who the brave/stupid/rude person will be who asks if I'm pregnant.

    Questions: none right now

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? Hmm. I live in MO, and honestly I'm not sure what MO-specific things I love. I moved here about 3 years ago from OK (which I hated), and I was so happy that MO actually had a fall where trees turned pretty colors and didn't just dry and and die. So maybe that! I grew up in OH which has a super colorful fall too.

@modoodles I'm glad your energy is starting to pick back up again! Hopefully the nausea goes away completely for you soon.

@pocketrose a boy!! Congratulations! re: pelvic exams... have they been doing an internal exam at each of your appts so far? That seems odd to me. I had one at my first appt (around 7-8 weeks), but my 12 week appt was just the doppler and checking my fundal height (from feeling the outside of my body), and from my experience with DD that's all I'm expecting at my 16 week appt too. I don't remember any other internal exams until 3rd tri with DD.

@pocketrose lurking from group 4 - my midwife has only ever given me a pelvic exam at the first pre-natal appointment, until the final month. And this pregnancy she even let me skip the pelvic, since she’d done one this summer when I had my IUD out. I’d be curious why they’re doing one every time for you!

Thanks @stlbuckeye132 and @Pascal86. In their defense, it was at my first appointment and then I changed OBGYNs so I also had one with them at that first appointment so maybe it won't happen again in February.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Pear

    Upcoming appointments: 2/7

How are you feeling? Physically pretty good! Energy is back, some RPL pain now and again, some shortness of breath

Raves/Rants: I'm still dealing with the phone/wallet theft of last week. It's just all a bit insane (they made AirBnB reservations, took some Ubers, blah blah blah). On the plus side, I have a lot for details now and as all my financial connections have been severed, every touchpoint is just more data for police reports. I'm still skeptical they'll be caught but I think the police are more likely to get involved now that more folks are impacted. Gross gross gross.

Questions: None really right now. It's so weird to feel like crap for so long and now feel pretty okay. It makes me nervous sometimes! But then I'll have some RPL pain or something and think, oh okay, still growing and stuff. I wish I felt like I had a legit bump. Or felt some movement. I still just feel/look bloated so sometimes I just don't feel pregnant. This isn't a question beyond wondering if others feel that way.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I grew up in the South where summers are intensely hot and humid.  Where I live now summers are GORGEOUS, perfectly warm and toasty but not near as humid. And our city has tons of lakes and trails so I really love how outdoorsy the community is.

@rachelredhead that is so annoying to be dealing with all that because one person has no morals. I'm sorry. I hope they catch him! Re: how you're feeling, that's exactly how I'm feeling too. I'm ready to start feeling movement to make this whole thing more real, and I'm ready to be in bump stage instead of just thicker stage.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out at anatomy scan

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: navel orange/avocado

Upcoming appointments: early Feb with OB

How are you feeling? nausea is definitely better, but I'm still too scared to stop taking diclegis. I keep thinking "ok, maybe tonight I'll just take half a pill" but then I think about the things I need to do the next day and how I'll do them if I feel like I'm going to vom constantly. So, I just keep taking it. Maybe one more week...

Raves/Rants: Rant is that I think I'm getting ANOTHER cold. Which means I had less than one week of relief between that sinus infection and whatever this is. It better be just a cold. Flu seems to be going around in my area which freaks me out...

Questions: Who here has felt movement? I felt it at 15 weeks with my first, but only lying totally still on my back in bed. I keep forgetting to try it with this one because I just want to go to sleep lol.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? It's small. Which is why a lot of people don't like it, but it's comfortable to me. There's two degrees of separation between you and anyone you meet, in almost all walks of life, so it's easy to make a personal connection to people, personally or professionally. Being in the mid-Atlantic, we also have seasons and it's so easy to any of the big east coast cities, the beach, or mountains in 2 hours or less.

@po@pocketrose congrats on the boy!! Also ditto what others have said re: pelvic exams, they should stop once you're settled with an OB. It's actually one of the reasons I like going to OB appts when pregnant, you don't have to take your pants off lol.

@st@stlbuckeye132 are you going to let the rumor mill play out a little longer? Could be a fun game lol you can hand out an award for the person who finally breaks down and asks you.

@ra@rachelredhead that is so frustrating that you continue to have to deal with the fallout from your wallet getting stolen. I agree, I hope the police can catch whoever it was.

How are you feeling? Okay. Really stressed and just trying to manage that.

Raves/Rants: still haven’t told anyone. Hoping to hold out till 20 weeks, but not sure if I can last another month.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? Ummmm...... the weather? We get all 4 seasons without it getting too hot/too cold/ no earthquakes or tornados. PA

@meanjellybean I haven't felt movement yet either. I *thought* I felt some Saturday night, but I was also super gassy at the time so I'm pretty sure it was just a crazy gas bubble. I felt it around 14 weeks with DD (I was lying on my stomach doing a stretch... that was the last time I did that stretch b/c I realized oops I guess I really should stop lying on my stomach now) so I'm getting impatient. MH felt it from the outside by 18 weeks with her too, so I'm reallyyyy hoping to feel something in the next couple weeks! And regarding the rumor mill at work, I'm planning to just let it do its thing! I'm not bringing it up to anyone besides the three people I already told, so we'll see how long it takes before someone asks.

@kittenslove I'm impressed you haven't peeked! I think that would be too tempting for me!

@stlbuckeye132 damn those sneaky gas bubbles lol I've def had that happen a few times too, then I realize that it's way too high up and strong to be a teeny tiny baby foot  :D

@meanjellybean yeah this one was lower which is why I thought it *might* be baby, but.... I don't think it was.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: spongebob squarepants

    Upcoming appointments: Feb 7th

How are you feeling? nausea is almost gone... however I catch a nasty cold and coughing is making me gag sometimes. Energy is almost back to normal....

Raves/Rants: my brain is not at its best, I just keep forgetting things or misplacing stuff...

Questions: Who is having a gender reveal party??? I am thinking of something small close family and few friends...

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? Well, since I am from Mexico, I think that what I like the most and to be more specific about my town is that its right in the border, both cultures are fused, both towns are small, people is friendly and the food.... you can find street tacos all day (and night) long.... yes I am a taco lover

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: small box of crayons

Upcoming appointments: 16 week check 1/28

How are you feeling? Pretty good, which still makes me nervous. I've had some RLP, and acid reflux this week, but nothing significant. Also, not showing yet which is surprising me, some of my pants are tight but overall not much yet, I'm sure it'll happen one day soon.

Raves/Rants: My DD has pneumonia and she's a trooper but I'm frustrated because she gets it every winter, (she's almost 3), I think it's about time I speak to a specialist to come up with some preventative measures.

Questions: I took a pregnancy test the other day because I'm a bundle of nerves. I'm trying not to be but I get nervous about the lack of symptoms, even though this happened with DD too. Any advise ? I know this probably isn't the best thing to do and I'm working on it but I needed to do something to ease the anxiety.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I'm in NJ so I love that we have the fullness of the 4 seasons (most of the time). Also, I know NJ gets a bad wrap but we're under an hour from the beach, hiking, mountains, lakes, cities, etc.

@jmcpool88 lurking from group 4 - I've been sooo excited to finally feel human again as of two days ago, but get these intermittent panics like - what if something is wrong? Then I remind myself over and over that although anything can happen at any time, aside from a very natural end of first-tri symptoms, I have absolutely no reason to think something has gone wrong.

Also, a pregnancy test will be positive for weeks after a miscarriage - just saying, save your tests. :) They don't really tell you anything at this point. And again, you have no reason to think anything is wrong! Especially if your pants are getting tight!

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out tomorrow at our gender reveal party!!

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: a CD

    Upcoming appointments: Feb 11

How are you feeling? Fat and bloated

Raves/Rants: my mom keeps commenting about my stomach. She looks for the bump and then sees that it’s big because yes I’ve gained weight and yes I’m bloated AF but then she says oh but the baby is actually just down there and points to much lower. Anyone else just feeling immensely fat and struggling to embrace the lack of a clear bump?

    Questions: nope.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? PA is so central to so much: cities, beaches, amusement parks

@ma@mayisch we are doing a reveal tomorrow and finding out ourselves too. It’s super small with just family.
