Anyone around 18-19 wks with 2nd or more and still not feeling much baby movement?
Each baby and pregnancy is different - if you are feeling movement, that is great! If concerned bring it up at your next appointment or call your nurses line
You could potentially have an anterior placenta. Not harmful, just cushions baby’s movements. They can tell you after you have your 20-week anatomy scan.
I was told the edge of placenta covers cervix. Is that what anterior placenta is? And thank you for answering
No. An anterior placenta is when the placenta attaches in the front, so basically on your belly. You only really feel movement in the front and sides, so having it in front can absorb the movements. Placenta previa is when the placenta covers the cervix.
You could potentially have both - a placenta that implanted both toward the front and also low enough down to partially cover your cervix.
@crystalt1231 - I am on my second and I did not feel much movement at your gestation. I know they say "oh moms feel them earlier the second time" but that's not always the case. I hope you feel your baby move soon.
