Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue! Found out a couple days ago after NIPT results.

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: apricot

Upcoming appointments: Jan 7 ultrasound, Jan 10 follow up appt

How are you feeling? Ok, jet lagged right now (we’re in London for the week). I got a bit nauseous last night but blame the weird eating timing more than anything.

Raves/Rants: The bloat is making me feel like such a cow. In tandem with those cow feelings, my libido has increased. So DH is happy about that and I guess I am too as long as we do the deed with lights off. I think I’ll appreciate my body more when I look pregnant as opposed to just feeling fat.

    Questions: none really

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share!  My resolution is to give more compliments. I often think of things that impress me about friends and loved ones but I don’t share those encouragements enough. Gonna try to get more gushy in my life and tell everyone how nifty they truly are.

    @rachelredhead London, that sounds fun!

    EDD/weeks+days: July 12/ 12w1

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:  Finding Our

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: I feel like every site has a different baby size. Apricot? Plum? Who knows...

Upcoming appointments: Jan 3rd with the new OBGYN, fingers crossed she's nice

How are you feeling? Tired and slightly regretting Chinese food for lunch but overall good.

Raves/Rants: I'm also on team bloat and the brand new bra I bought fit me one day and then not the next which is rude. Going to need to shop more carefully next time I suppose.

    Questions:

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! I do sometimes. I think this year is going to be a throw back to similar ones I've done in the past - be more intentional. Which, given an arrival of a tiny human, seems appropriate.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: FO after NIPT tomorrow

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Not sure

Upcoming appointments: Genetics testing tomorrow and follow up OBGYN on Jan 10

How are you feeling? I am getting over a terrible cold that has lasted almost two weeks at this point. The kids and I both have it. I broke down and took Tylenol, Zinc, Mucinex, Claritin and Robitussin finally did the trick. I usually try to take nothing other than vitamins and required shots, etc. but this was an awful cold.

Raves/Rants: I bought some Lululemon yoga pants which are more forgiving than the wonder unders in order to accommodate my blump. Rant: I have been dealing with a lot of rehashing of old mistakes, humiliations and slights which is specific to pregnancy hormones. I'm annoyed that I am having difficulty getting over these thoughts.

    Questions:

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! I'm hoping to start journaling or meditating to rewire my thoughts to being more positive and forgiving.

    EDD/weeks+days: July 14th/12 weeks

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: I think we are settled on finding out at the anatomy scan

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: apricot

Upcoming appointments: January 6th appt with my OB

How are you feeling? I don't want to jinx it, but I think my nausea may be dissipating. Afraid to stop taking diclegis though. Also not sure if my system is just distracted by battling the plague my daughter gave me.

Raves/Rants: Rant because I had my nurse appt two weeks ago and they sent the referral to the maternal/fetal medicine center at the hospital for them to contact me to schedule my NT scan, and I still haven't heard from them! I called my OB last week and they confirmed MFM got my info, so just waiting, waiting, waiting... Also waiting on the results of my first trimester screen that was done at that same appt. Just anxious to get the results so I can know if everything looks good.

Questions: Has everyone else that's 12w+ gotten all of their screening/tests/NT scans done?

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! I'm not much of a resolutions person because I know myself and I never keep them! But, if I have to, I guess I would say I want to put my phone down/away more. I feel like I just compulsively pick it up and look at it at any down time, and that's not a healthy habit. Prob won't keep that one either!

To the ladies above, I'm also on team bloat/blump. I finally busted out a pair of maternity workout leggings which wasn't totally necessary but it feels good to start letting it all hang out!

@meanjellybean I just made some maternity clothing purchases before Destination Maternity went out of business which included leggings, not sure when I need to succumb to wearing them though!

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Toy soldier, baby is as tall as a rubix cube

Upcoming appointments: 1/28 (16 week check)

How are you feeling? Pretty good! I went for my 12 week u/s on Monday and have been feeling way less anxious since. Seeing baby move/heart beat really helped my anxiety and I'm hopeful it'll continue to lessen. Overall I'm feeling better, some days I hardly have any symptoms, some days I still feel a little nauseous but definitely way better.

Raves/Rants: We announced to my in-laws and some friends over the past few days which was exciting ! We also told DD (she'll be 3 in February), I wasn't sure how she'd react but she's very excited and of course wants to have an Anna to her Elsa. I love feeling that I can let the secret out a bit. I still have to figure out when to tell my boss.

Questions: Has any thought of the 3D u/s thing? I'm not sure if it's worth it but a few of my friends have done and recommend.

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! I sometimes do resolutions, this year I'm basically "trying" to focus on self-care and worrying about friends/family who care about me, the phone works both ways and I'm done always being the one who reaches out.

@jmcpool88 I've never had one done, but they always look so cool, I wish they were offered for me. I don't know how much it costs to get it done outside of your usual ultrasounds, maybe someone else they can weigh in on whether it's worth it.

    EDD/weeks+days: July 11; 12w5d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: team green

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: macaron

Upcoming appointments: I had one on Monday, so my next isn't until 1/27

How are you feeling? Mostly okay, but I've had a headache since yesterday that refuses to go away.

Raves/Rants: We took DD to my appt on Monday, and while she had no clue what was happening (she's only 21 months) it was fun having her there to hear the heartbeat and excitedly point out all the photos of babies in the room.

Questions: Anyone else avoiding telling work people? I work with a bunch of awkward guys, and I'm also awkward and hate having attention on me, so... I'm sort of dreading letting them know. I'll likely just tell my boss and HR and everyone else will figure it out later.

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! Not really, but last night when I spent 20 mins putting clothes away, I thought, "I really should make more of an effort to put clothes away right after taking them out of the laundry." So maybe I'll try for that.

@rachelredhead I hope you're having the best time on your vacation, and congratulations on a healthy boy!

@pocketrose I hope your appt goes well tomorrow with your new provider!

@Skk1977 I lived in my high waisted lulu lemon leggings while I was off work the past couple weeks. Putting on real pants this morning was very sad. haha

@meanjellybean I hope you hear from them soon! My doctor doesn't do the NT scans, so all I'm having done is the NIPT testing until the anatomy scan. I did have the bloodwork taken for that on Monday.

@jmcpool88 I've never had one of the 3D ones done, and I probably won't pay to have one done this time either. They're cool, but I'm already paying enough for medical things that are covered by insurance that I don't want to pay another penny for something that's not covered haha

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: size of a chicken nugget

    Upcoming appointments: tomorrow

How are you feeling? Tired, with migraines and lots of nausea

Raves/Rants: We gave the big news on Christmas to my parents and in laws, days later to my mom's family and this Saturday to my dad's family, it was very exciting and now DS knows he is having a sibling he claims its a boy, but also he sometimes says its a boy and a girl...

Questions: well, this is my second and I feel this weird bump, not quite sure if its just belly fat or bloating, sometimes is bigger, I wore maternity jeans on Christmas just to feel comfy

GTKY: do you do new year's resolutions? If so, share! watch my weight keeping baby in mind and worry less about thing I can't change...

@mayisch that's so cute about your DS! How old is he?

Also yayyy they finally called to schedule my NT scan and it's next Tuesday afternoon. Now just need to get there to hopefully ease my anxiety about not having had any check-ins on the babe since 7 weeks...

@jmcpool88 @meanjellybean I've had about 10 3D ultrasounds taken of my daughter. Since I was AMA and I had some extra fluid in third try with her they gave me ultrasounds every week. Most of them were 3D and all of them were free for some reason. One of them is absolutely beautiful. She looks like a little angel posing and you can see the curls of her hair. Now that the kids are 4 and 6 I can't say that I've looked at the picture all that often but I could imagine it being really worthwhile if it's your first pregnancy and you can't wait to see what your child looks like. Warning: the 3D ultrasounds in the second trimester are pretty ugly lol My dad was actually disturbed by it.

Hello all. My first post in group #2

    Due 7/9. 13W+3D
Team: not sure. I have a hard time not knowing cause of all the specialists, it just makes it easier to know. But I kinda wanna keep It a secret too
fun fact: apparently you pop early with your third? I did t know but you can tell I’m expecting at only 13 weeks

I go for a normal on appointment on 1/16 and a 16 week anatomy scan on 1/23

I am feeling exhausted. And sick. And super super stressed. My husband got me month massages to help with pain and stress, and I had one yesterday.  Didn’t really help to be honest. My mom went into the the ER (she has pancreatic cancer and was dealing with some bad pain). So I’m stressed over her. We moved into my parents house after my dad passed November 4. Well, more like started camping at my moms. We need to pack up our house and go through my moms house to fit our stuff in. My MIL needs lot of help with my niece and both my boys have cavities. I’m so so so stressed.

    Rave: I can eat again
    Rant: second trimester headaches

    Questions: none

NY resolution: I want to get in charge of my health to prevent genetics from catching up on me. I’m hoping to continue to use the gym but I really want to figure out my diet
