@vanessa_lynne can you explain what a gentle biopsy is? I had 2 ERAs back in 2016 to check for receptivity (which isn’t the protocol my doc does anymore) and I am CONVINCED they’re responsible for my daughter’s conception (like we weren’t even trying, and it happened after 18 mo of failed treatments). I’m curious about trying something like that.

@omarismyhomeboy I hate to read this....fingers crossed for your March cycle!!
My beta came back this morning at 364. I go for another check on Thursday and then onto an ultrasound if all is well. Still cautiously hopeful!
July - September 2016 - 3 negative IUIs
December 2016 IVF cycle - 12 retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 frozen, 1 transferred August 2017 - baby boy September 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried pills) November 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried patches) February 2020 - FET February 6, EDD 10/25/2020
@omarismyhomeboy The gentle endometrial biopsy/scratch was an option to me this round (3rd attempt). It may improve the receptivity as you mentioned. We had done it the first time as it was included in our protocol (prior to retrieval and transfer) and it wasn't on my protocol for round 2, which also failed despite a 6AA embryo. So when it was offered this time around, I was going to say no thanks (it really hurt the first time) but figured we were running out of opportunities (started with 4 embryos) and wanted to use all our options. So I opted in for FET #3 and I was also on Medrol (steroid) this round. FET 2 and 3 were natural cycles for me, so no BCP as it had graciously given me my first-ever migraine including arm numbness and aura (I can't imagine those who deal with them often).
We have our ultrasound on the 3rd. Can't wait. It had originally been scheduled for today but I bumped it as a friend of mine had recently scheduled hers for 6 weeks and they told her it was too soon and they couldn't see anything. I wanted to save myself the disappointment in case the same happened to me.
I have my lining check tomorrow after 12 days of estrogen pills. My lining at baseline was 5.5mm, and I always have an issue getting to 8mm. Hoping this 3rd transfer is THE ONE and everything goes smoothly since we're at a new clinic. If we're on track, then I'll be having my 3rd transfer on 3/3 I'm flying to my parent's house on 3/4...granted it's only a 45min flight and everything I've seen says it's OK to fly after the transfer, but still apprehensive. Then again, if flight attendants and pilots can do it, why cant we?
@vanessa_lynne our ultrasound is March 5 - my nurse said they typically schedule for 6 weeks, 4 days because the heartbeat can usually be heard by then. I am having a minor freak out because I have had some very minor spotting, brown in color, slightly on the toilet paper when I wipe. It's only happened twice and my RE said to try to not worry. If it keeps happening, they may increase my progesterone. Ugh. I know it's normal, but it's so hard to not worry!!

I had my lining check today. I'm at 6.7mm so I'm waiting on them to call me back to see if I'll have to take Estradiol Valerate shots prior to transfer on Tuesday to get my lining up. That's what I've had to do my last 2 transfers, just hoping my new clinic allows that instead of postponing the transfer. Any suggestions on getting my lining to 8 by Tuesday??
Wishing you the best in achieving that 8mm goal by Tuesday. These above options are mostly easy (not sure about your access to acupuncture). Keep us posted!
@LoweeeK My ultrasound is March 3rd. I had originally scheduled it today (6 weeks), but pushed it ahead to next week (7 weeks). I hope we can hear a heartbeat! After feeling like I don't know what's going on in there since our 2nd beta, I went and bought 2 home tests yesterday and tested after work (positive). I feel so paranoid after 2 failures and will feel some relief at our ultrasound, I hope. I don't blame you for being worried about the brown spotting. I have a bit today, actually. Not sure if it's just my cervix being irritated from the Endometrin suppositories or something else. It happened since I exercised at lunch, but I've been keeping active with no side effects to date (keeps me sane). I also feel like I'm ballooning already, with many tops even feeling tight around my shoulders.
I've also applied to a midwife clinic, and have my first appointment on March 10th. Hoping to have another home birth (both of my boys were born at home).
@LoweeeK and @vanessa_lynne I can’t believe it’s almost ultrasound time for you both! I’m sure it seems a lot longer to you. I’m sure it’s very difficult to not be anxious during the time between check ups.
@covergirl2985 I hope you were given the go ahead to use the estradiol injections. They work great for me!
My transfer was yesterday. Every went well the dr said everything was beautiful. They said the embryo was a 4.0 after thaw. She said she normally doesn’t see anything above a 3 after thaw so that made me real hopeful! Now the wait! Good luck to everyone! Can’t wait to hear about those ultrasounds!
AFM - my lining is at 6.7, and my estrogen/progesterone labs look good. No estradiol injections, they just want me to continue to take the estrogren pills and back for another lining check tomorrow (Friday.) Hopefully I will be at 7mm by then and will get the OK for transfer on Tuesday.
Hopefully everyone had a great weekend! My 2nd lining check was 7.4mm, but my FET got moved from 3/3 to 3/9 as they want me on 6 days of PIO, but I am out of town Wed-Saturday so starting PIO tomorrow!
AFM, I had my transfer today. Everything went well, and I’ve been relaxing with my husband all day. Now for the waiting. I’m going to try not to test until next Monday or Tuesday.
@vanessa_lynne I was actually about to post! I gave in this morning and tested. Today is day 6 I was so nervous that it was to soon. Now I want to test everyday! Can’t wait to see your sweet baby!
You can POAS to your Lil heart's delight!!! :D and feel free to post them on the First Trimester board, top thread, "<i>What does a Positive Pregnancy test look like?"</i> You won't be able to remove or spoiler the first one since you can only edit within 24 hours, but I would extend your fellow IFers the courtesy of at least putting it in a spoiler, if not moving it over to the other thread all together.
We know you're rightfully excited, but someone else might be looking at a BFN this morning and coming here for support, too.❤️
@Bharvey10 if you follow the top left icons above the comment box you will see <b>B</b> for Bold<i>, I,</i> for italic, and then a funny backwards P thing for paragraph, with a drop-down arrow.
If you tap that P drop-down, then you can choose Spoiler, and whatever follows will get stuck in the spoiler box. You can also highlight any existing text or image, then click that P drop-down, choose Spoiler, and it will add the spoiler box after the fact.
@Bharvey10 I dont think you need to remove your post. We should ALL be supportive and excited for a fellow IVF mama, even if we, personally, do not get the result we want. I say, POST AWAY!!!!!
@covergirl2985 supportive and excited, yes. But also being mindful and respectful that some members of the community may be having a tough day, come here for support because they did NOT get good news, and it can be crushing in that moment to have someone else's BFP thrown in their face. No matter how hard won.
Current posters may obviously police themselves. However as a long-standing member of this community, I felt that the kind thing for all, was to gently redirect the pee sticks, in the name of commonly accepted etiquette and decency. The spoiler can be tricky, that's why I explained how to use it. You can share verbally that you got a BFP with a TW, as well. As someone who has received both amazing and devastating results over my years here, I know how it feels to be on both sides.
The PAIF thread is a great place to jump in, even in early days, and may feel like a better fit at first than a BMB. There's lots of support for the newly KU IFer to be found here. ❤️
good point on not wanting to hurt someone else's feelings, totally get it. but I think when you see "spoiler" you are already pretty sure what is hiding there, and I know that sucks just as much. the people on this board know that others may get positive results when they don't. but they also know we are all here for them in the same way.
I understand it all. However I’m stepping away. I hope everyone the best. I don’t feel like I fit well in the other group. Not everyone’s been there what us ladies have been through. Some don’t understand that it’s taken years. However I do understand the spoiler deal but I also feel like it’s already given away.
@Bharvey10 you don't have to run off, believe me. I get it. I have been through every painful step. You will find more familiar faces on the PAIF board who have all been there, too. ❤️
Im going for FET #3 tomorrow at 11a. Super excited but also a little anxious since the other 2 haven’t worked.
Noticed a little bit of spotting yesterday and today. Wondering if the estrace is messing with my system. Been on it for 22 days. 3x day orally.anyone else have that?
Thanks @covergirl2985! My beta is on Thursday. I had some spotting from estrace during my last FET cycle. It only lasted a day or two, and my RE wasn’t worried about it. Good luck on your transfer!!
Good morning ladies! Sorry for being MIA last week. I ended up with a terrible gastro bug which had me in rough shape most of Tuesday, and unable to be farther than 10 seconds away from a toilet on Wednesday. Ugh. All good now!
@Bharvey10 Beta today! Thanks for sharing your HPT results. Even when I was unsuccessful in previous FETs, it made me happy to see other's success. It gave me hope. Don't feel bad for sharing.
@vetgirl2011 Curious if you've tested yet. FX for a faint second line for you.
@LoweeeK How did your ultrasound go? Any news on the light spotting?
Ultrasound showed I was measuring around 7w2d on Tuesday, so I'm 8w1d today. Heart rate was 150 bpm. No photo to share, sorry - we call it our little insect as it doesn't really look like a baby yet
@vanessa_lynne I’m so sorry that you’ve been sick! GI bugs are the worst! It’s so exciting that you got to see a heartbeat! I’m so happy for you! I’ve had a nice second line on two tests now. I’m impatiently waiting for beta on Thursday.
@covergirl2985 Now the waiting begins! I hope it goes quickly for you. Hopefully the third times a charm!

@omarismyhomeboy So sorry about your home tests. It is devastating to see a BFN after all of this. I hope your next cycle is a success.
@Bharvey10 great news on the lining! The 26th is coming quickly. Best of luck to you on your transfer.
