Trouble TTC

Hi!

I’m Ann. DH and I are close to the one year mark TTC. A friend of mine used to be on the forums when she struggled and suggested I introduce myself and find others who understand the struggle and emotions I am feeling.

We are waiting for my next cycle to schedule the hsg and see where we go from there. With that on my mind, the holidays were especially hard this year. I’ve been trying not to drink as much and DH was off drinking while his family kept asking me about having a family and how people would make great aunts/uncles/grandparents. I don’t think I’ve ever cried more after a family get together. I’ve been very emotional about it lately, and this has been affecting my husband a lot. I know he’s upset, but does not want to show it so he can support me and be my rock and it makes me feel alone in this sometimes.

Im sure you can all relate to this. I’m not happy that we are all here with these problems, but hoping to support you all and have a place I can go to talk about the struggles we are facing.

@amartuso welcome! We've all been there. I used to get the prying questions but I think that's really curbed since my sister had a baby back in March so everyone is infatuated with my niece so I'm happy to stay out of people's radar when there are family get togethers. Hope you can start the year off fresh.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions as you go along! I've been through it all, the tests, IUIs, IVF, and a FET (which failed back in September so more tests right now for me). And many others have been through much of the process and can provide some insight.

Hello there! I am also waiting for my next cycle to begin some testing. I will be having an HSG, as well as ultrasounds and bloodwork on days 3&21. I’ve never so badly wanted for my period to start to get things going. Good luck to you!
