Re: All trimester check in week of December 23!

    • How far along/EDD? 14+1, 6/21
    • How are you feeling this week? Mostly good. I’ve officially entered second tri so yay for that! Hoping to get some energy back soon.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? My DS and I will be finding out the sex of this baby on Christmas Morning. I did PGS testing and my RE has known the whole time. So we open the envelope on Christmas. I’m so excited!
    • Any upcoming appointments? OB on 1/3
    • GTKY: what are you most looking forward to as a parent? Or if you already have kiddos, what’s your favorite part of being a parent/parenting? I love sharing all the stuff I loved as a kid with him. The holidays can be especially fun. Sharing traditions. Passing things on. I can’t wait to be able to continue with this next LO.

  • @sincethelastday I think that thought especially after a long infertility journey is so emotional. With my DS it wasn't a very long journey although at the time it felt like it was. But after my TFAS journey has been especially long and painful it hits me even more now. I'm glad to hear 3rd tri is treating you well! Have fun with all the family stuff this week!

    • How far along/EDD? 6+1/Aug 16
    • How are you feeling this week? I'm feeling pretty good. No pregnancy symptoms to speak of except some nipple tenderness. That is both great and disconcerting.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? I had my appt today and we found a hb! I was honestly shocked since it was super early. It was 101 and doc said it prolly started beating yesterday. I am dehydrated from having the flu and my bp was up today. I expect if it's still up at my next appt he will put me on meds.
    • Any upcoming appointments? Go back again on the 9th for another u/s to make sure things are progressing.
    • GTKY: what are you most looking forward to as a parent? Or if you already have kiddos, what’s your favorite part of being a parent/parenting? I'm excited to watch ds1 be a big brother again and it will be fun to see how ds2 handles not being the baby. He is a total mama's boy, so I can't wait to see how he shares the limelight.
  • Congrats on hearing the hb @wildrainbow. That is such an awesome milestone ❤️
  • @hanshotfirst77 congrats on being in the second tri!! Woot! And how exciting for the reveal!

@sincethelastday glad you’re still feeling well into the third trimester! Hopefully that continues :) and kudos for all the baking and holiday prep, I didn’t even try this year haha.

@businesswife glad your first scan went well!

@emmasemm sooooo jealous you are done working! Not going back after the holidays sounds glorious!

@wildrainbow yay for a HB so early!! Hopefully everything with your BP was just dehydration and resolved by your next appointment.

@cashewchicken I also have fairly symptom-free pregnancies, at least in the beginning before I’m a whale haha. Have fun in Hawaii!

    • How far along/EDD? 33+3, 2/8
    • How are you feeling this week? Like there’s not enough room for both of us in this body! Haha. Otherwise pretty good actually, considering I’m carrying around an extra 35lbs!
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Rave!!! We had our scan to check placenta on Thursday and my placenta has finally moved off my cervix!! It’s still too close for vaginal delivery, but we will have another scan at 37 weeks and if it’s moved more by then no cesarean! Baby also looked great and was doing lots of breathing practice, so fingers crossed he stays put till we are cleared for vagina delivery. I have also decided I will ask for a note from my OB to stop working at 37 weeks, so now just counting down the days to leave!
    • Any upcoming appointments? OB on Friday.
    • GTKY: what are you most looking forward to as a parent? Or if you already have kiddos, what’s your favorite part of being a parent/parenting? By far my favorite part is watching my son discover the world. I had no idea how fulfilling that would be, even just watching him figure out mundane things that no one else cares about. Haha.

    • How far along/EDD? 9+1 / 7/29
    • How are you feeling this week? Mostly good, no major symptoms, other than constipation which I think is under control with plums (3 per day…used to have only 1 but it was not working).
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? My RE did not send my IVF records to the OB on time and they cancelled today’s appointment.  During the treatment they were super responsive, but since I graduated they have taken a lot of time to send my prescriptions to the pharmacy and now this.  Talked to DH because I was furious and mostly I think I was so disappointed/sad and he definitely felt that because when I kind of brought up the idea of going to a private ultrasound service (3D type) he was completely on board….so I called this morning and booked an appointment and I was able to see the baby, moving and with a strong heartbeat of 171.
    • Any upcoming appointments? God knows! I really hope my RE sends my records tomorrow or Monday and I can set up a new time soon.
    • GTKY: what are you most looking forward to as a parent? Or if you already have kiddos, what’s your favorite part of being a parent/parenting?  This is our first, so just welcoming our baby and holding him/her.

  • Glad to see you're home and adjusting to life as a family of four! ❤️ @Tulips29

@angelina1919 oh no! That is such a pain your clinic is not being as responsive as they should be.  Fx everything gets straightened out ASAP
  • Far along/EDD 14 weeks, 7/1, some debate between Ob and US tech but I’ll see in Feb when OB does US
How are you feeling? Had a bad night in car Christmas night was close to puking but survived.  Bad neck crick (I have three discs fused in neck) no pregnancy connection.
    overall good
rant - I agreed to do too much in too short a time not getting pregnancy fatigue but I’m surviving
    Upcoming appt 1/13 next OB
got our NIPT back all good and we’re having a girl.

@angelina1919 the exact same thing happened to me I was super frustrated.  I have done two elective us now and it’s kept me saner.

@PoeMasque yeah on a cooperative body for once!
  • @Tulips29 so glad to hear everything went well and you’re all finally home!

    @bluguitarhannah congrats on good results!

@BusinessWife thanks! I would not be having a vbac since I had vaginal delivery with my son.

So I saw a different OB this week and she was irritated that my regular OB had not scheduled NST monitoring. I completely forgot that I should be doing them at this point! But now I’m irritated too and will be calling on Monday to schedule the extra monitoring. Just another example of my OB not taking my care seriously! I’ve decided that if I need a cesarean I will be scheduling with a different OB because I’m just not comfortable with her now.
