1st Trimester

Morning Sickness

This is my second go-around with pregnancy, the first ended sadly with a blighted ovum about 5 months ago. I’ve never experienced this level of nausea and it’s starting to affect my work. Anyone recommend some remedies or have take Dramamine to help ease it? I don’t want to rely on meds, but am in court this week (I’m a lawyer) and really need to be feeling myself...

Re: Morning Sickness

  • I'd call your doctor's office or nurse line if they have one. They'll tell you what's best. Don't take anything OTC without making sure it's safe first.
You might need to try a few things or a combination of things. Good luck!
  • ginger, hard candies, preggie-pops, carbs, small frequent meals are all things that can help. You can also talk to your doc if those things don't help.

  • Unisom before bed. The anti-histamines in it can help with morning sickness. It helped ease mine last pregnancy until about 2:00 pm at least. Stay on top of eating small, frequent snacks. As long as you’re taking a prenatal, don’t worry about your nutrition, just eat what you can to get by until MS is over.
