Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Will find out at my 20 week scan in January
Baby is the size of a(n): Peach
Upcoming appointments: Midwife appointment on Friday! Hoping we get to listen to the heartbeat.
How are you feeling? Fine except for really stubborn constipation. Also wish I had time to rest but it’s hard with a toddler and a full time job! Looking forward to my holiday break.
Raves/Rants: Rant- my toddler slept in our bed last night which isn’t my favourite thing to do- she takes up so much room but Rave- she slept in till 8 so I actually feel pretty refreshed today! Love that 8 is now sleeping in ahahahha.
Questions: Has anyone felt the baby move yet? I didn’t feel DD until like 21weeks but I’m hoping to feel movement earlier this time!
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? - All the desserts and appetizers! This will be my first Christmas in America in 4 years and I look forward to eating cinnamon buns for breakfast, crescent rolls and apple pie. All the gourmet options ahaha
EDD/weeks+days: June 5, 15+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): naval orange 🍊
Upcoming appointments: had an appointment Friday with my midwife, seeing the MFM this coming Friday.
How are you feeling? Feeling better now that I’m out of first tri and healing up from my last gallbladder attack but anxious for my upcoming appointment
Raves/Rants: @hayhay2501 my rave is I got to sleep in until 8:00 today too!
Questions: none today
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? This is a bummer for me at the moment because I will not be able to eat normally this Christmas, but thankful I can still eat most of the dinner foods. I may make myself a healthier dessert that I can eat.
Team: Pink!
Upcoming appointments: Nothing new til 12/31.
How are you feeling? Not too bad, mostly just tired.
Raves/Rants: I am having so much fun watching my 2 year old learn about holidays and birthdays. Also in love with our Christmas tree this year! It was my first time picking out a live one and it’s beautiful. I’ll save my rant for later in the week if I get cranky!
Questions: None right now.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? ALL the yummy foods. Hot cocoa is top of mind right now.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: it's a boy
Baby is the size of a(n): avocado
Upcoming appointments: Ultrasound Jan 2nd and check up Jan 3rd
How are you feeling? Generally pretty awesome. I'm exhausted, but it is also the end of the semester so if I wasnt I would be concerned
Raves/Rants: I'm super in love with my husband right now. He is being amazing with everything so far and even though he is stressed with the end of the semester, he is still being super supportive of me.
I also went to a yoga/massage class on Friday. It was AMAZING.
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays?
Scalloped potatoes. Nomnomnom
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
Upcoming appointments: not until Jan 3rd
How are you feeling? Mostly good. I’m still so tired and super sore boobs almost always.
Raves/Rants: I went FB official today! So happy and touched by all the love and support.
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? All of it haha. I’m quite partial to a family tradition of lasagna on Christmas dinner.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: really hoping to find out at MFM ultrasound on 27th! I’ll be exactly 16 weeks
Baby is the size of a(n): I have no idea. Peach? Big enough I can’t fit into my pants.
Upcoming appointments: 27th with MFM (I have total care with them for Lupus)
How are you feeling? Astronomically better. Can’t even explain.
Raves/Rants:@hanshotfirst77 congratulations! That’s super exciting to just have people know!
@rabbitmama09 I’m so glad you and your husband have grown closer this pregnancy
Questions: just anyone who wants to weigh in on the 18m sleep regression and any fixes they have 😴
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Oooh toffee and jerky. My mom only makes these around the new year and she just had fresh batches sour tonight when I was over there for dinner 🥰
Married: 12/19/15
BFP: 9/4/17
EDD: 5/16/18

@hanshotfirst77 did you do anything fun with the announcement? I was thinking about social media announcing from the Disney cruise we’re going on in early Jan but my boss wants me to wait till I’m back to tell my coworkers.
@FigTreeMama - this is the first year my daughter has shown an interest in Christmas and it’s so so great!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: I told DH to just let me know his decision the day of the ultrasound. He keeps changing his mind (I decided team green with DS so his turn) and I’m so over listening to it I just told him no more and tell me at 20w.
Baby is the size of a(n): lemon
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow! Yay!
How are you feeling? Starting to feel better, definitely more good days than bad. Still sick here and there. Pee A LOT. Back pain, crampy but otherwise, fairly ok.
Raves/Rants: I’m almost ready for Christmas! I wrapped most everything this weekend and have just a couple more gifts to get. We are hosting Christmas Day because I put my foot down this year and said we aren’t leaving our house, so I have to figure out a menu. Rant: we still haven’t sold our house and I’m getting stressed about timing. Every day that passes is one day closer to baby.
Questions: any other mamas trying for a vbac aside from @runwmusic and I? Or had a successful vbac? Maybe later on we can have a thread dedicated to that.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Desserts! And Christmas Eve Italian even though I’m not going to get it this year. I am pretty sure I’ve gained 5 pounds just from Christmas cookies.

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out in one month! Caught a slight glimpse on Friday and its too soon to be sure but......... It gave me hope!
Baby is the size of a(n): Peach
Upcoming appointments: today I have an echo for myself. Kind of Nervous. To all those mommy's who have had preeclampsia.... Please go to the cardiologist. I am learning so so much about the post baby effects of it on your body.
How are you feeling? nervous but otherwise pretty good.
Raves/Rants: Okay so recently the app told me I will be getting my sex drive back..... and BABY ! it is more than just back lol. Not sure if this is a rave or a rant.
Also, I have been having the weirdest dreams.
Questions: Anyone else talking to the baby or am I just crazy ? I know its too soon for him/her to hear me but a part of me likes to think baby hears all.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays?\
I am dominican so I love my Pernil con moro de gandules (pork shoulder w rice &pigeon peas ) and potato salad
@rabbitmama when are you due if you're 16+3 already? I'm 16 exactly today and due 6/1
@alli392 wtf dad? So glad your mom stepped in!
@chaos-and-coffee good call on a vbac thread. I am so hopeful it'll work out but definitely nervous.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: find out in less than a month!
Baby is the size of a(n): avacado which I feel is smaller than an orange or peach 🤷♀️
Upcoming appointments: Thursday
How are you feeling? Still exhausted. I really need to try to get some exercise in to get energy back but my life is a shit show lately
Raves/Rants: how am I already 40% through this pregnancy? I'm so not ready for the new baby yet
Questions: not that I can think of
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Appetizers and desserts for sure. Brie, walnuts, and maple syrup, pecan pie, gureyer bacon dip. Bacon wrapped water chestnuts, cheese perogi depending on who makes them 😬
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: it's a boy "Luke"
Baby is the size of a(n): daisy
Upcoming appointments: not till January I had one last thursday and everything sounded great
How are you feeling? Well currently like I've been hit by a truck but that is from the flu, not the pregnancy...pregnancy wise I feel great.
Raves/Rants: getting the flu while pregnant should be illegal!!!
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? All of it....especially the sweets, but this baby is not a big fan of sweets so we will see how this goes...
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green. Or Purple
Baby is the size of a(n): navel orange
Upcoming appointments: Seeing my midwife Wednesday, and my OB on Thursday. They're two totally different practices, one for home one for hospital birth.
How are you feeling? Balance is already bad, belly getting in way. Skin went from gross greasy, to drier than I've ever experienced. Peeing constantly, and my rant-so much pelvis pain. I expected it, but tired of limping around and struggling even around the house. Doing a quick store run for stocking stuffers was a lot, walking two and from bus stop twice per day is killer.
Raves/Rants: Rave-uh, my soon-to-be-middle child is finally sleeping better. Not great, but better. Night weaning process is going smoothly.
Questions: Just answers. @hayhay2501 Pretty sure I've been feeling baby on and off for a week or two. Not as sure as I was with my second, but my second was ridiculously active. @chaos-and-coffee I'm going for a second vbac. My first was an unnecessary section, my second was intentionally born at home to avoid interventions, bad hospital policies, and stress, plus doctor impatience/myths. I'm a leader in an ICAN chapter, pretty well versed in statistics for safety, as well as things you can do to increase your chances of success. Hoping to have another home birth.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? I don't have any favorites that are holiday staples. Don't like apple or pumpkin pie, and the only one who kids to bake cookies doesn't make any sweet or soft ones-only spicy and crunchy (personally, ew). Hoping that when kids are 3, 5, and 7 I'll be more ready to make some desserts that I LIKE. Maybe I'll learn to do rice pudding and banana cream pie.

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out
Baby is the size of: a peach
Upcoming appointments: New Years eve
How are you feeling?: Not terrible but my heartburn is terrible. All day every day. Pepcid and tums help some, but whew. That and I Can’t breathe through my nose.
Questions: Any recommendation on good affordable maternity clothes? I don’t have a huge budget, but I have pretty much nothing left in my wardrobe that fits comfortably.
GTKY: I’m a big fan of finger foods and appetizers, which is what my family usually has for the holidays. Meatballs, veggies and dip, cheese crackers. Nothing special but man I love the variety.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink (Bailey)
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
Upcoming appointments: December 30
How are you feeling? Pretty good, just waiting for the much-anticipated return of my sex drive lol
Raves/Rants: My 14-month-old son went through a spell of waking up in the middle of the night and then up for the day by 6, but last night he was back to his normal schedule!
Questions: None at the moment
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? We have brunch at my sister’s house on Christmas morning, and I make homemade cinnamon rolls that are divine! I’m not much of a baker and they take forever to make, so this is the only time of year I put forth the effort to make them.
How are you feeling? I was better until last night when I could not keep my dinner down. Yuck.
GTKY: I love to bake, especially banana bread, and I love to eat it too. This time of year is when I miss living near family and baking with my mom.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: PINK!
Baby is the size of a(n): Troll doll
Upcoming appointments: Midwife appt on 1/3 at 17weeks - most likely just a fetal doppler and maybe measuring fundal height. I have a doppler at home so the early appts without ultrasounds aren't that exciting. 20 week scan on 1/20.
How are you feeling? Tired and cranky all the time but overall good! My husband might disagree. He gets the brunt of my bad moods.
Raves/Rants: We did a family gender reveal last weekend and I was so excited to find out we're having a girl! We have a 2 year old son and I had gender disappointment with him (although now I couldn't imagine having any other baby but him! Boys are seriously the sweetest.) For the reveal, my sister picked up the results so it was truly a surprise. Rant - having a harder time picking a girls name that I thought we would!
Questions: Anyone avoiding romaine lettuce due to recalls? I had a huge caesar salad for lunch and then read about the recalls like 10 minutes later. Unnecessarily nervous now.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Pumpkin bread and mashes potatoes!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out (possibly this week!)
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime
Upcoming appointments: 1/9/20
How are you feeling? A bit better. Sometimes exhaustion, emotions or nausea hit hard, but for the most part I'm doing OK.
Raves/Rants: My clothes are too tight - maternity clothes are too big
Questions: none
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Turkey with all the sides
I have known some people to either birth at a friend or family member's house or a motel closer to hospital.
But, obviously, there are different comfort levels for everyone.

Baby is the size of a(n):avocado
Upcoming appointments: Not until the end of the month.
How are you feeling? energy level isnt good, but getting better. nausea is less often, but more severe when I have it. Go figure.
Raves/Rants: Looking forward to Christmas, but kinda bummed that I am one of the few school employees that doesnt get a winter vacation.
Questions: nada
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? I am looking forward to some lasagna and pie.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team blue for the third time
Baby is the size of a(n): an apple I think?
Upcoming appointments: WELL I was supposed to have my appointment today but apparently showed up 15 minutes late (they totally sent me the wrong text reminder, which I SHOWED THEM and they still sent me home and made me reschedule. But nobody seemed to care or acknowledge the time I waited an hour for an ultrasound. I was annoyed. Rescheduled for next Monday. My anatomy scan will be the following week.
How are you feeling? Thankfully over the first trimester sludge stage.
Raves/Rants:
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Hmm...I just like the variety available I guess.
I was pretty upset. I had to run out of work and have someone cover my classes, we were told it would be an early dismissal due to weather right before I left so I was scrambling to get additional plans ready, and then she had the nerve to ask if I could come in the middle of the day tomorrow. No. I WORK. You're lucky I made it today.
Honestly, the hardest part about these appointments and such is having a job with the same hours. Thankfully I have all of next week off, so I took the Monday appointment when she offered that.
EDD/weeks+days: June 11, 14w, 4d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue!
Baby is the size of a(n): brilliant beet
Upcoming appointments: Dec 27.... I should ask if they'll do an ultrasound. Otherwise it'll be no ultrasound between 7.5 weeks and the 20 weeks anatomy scan. That seems like a long time. I'm irrationally(?) really nervous that there's an issue that simply doesn't show up in the NIPT results or a fetal doppler. There's something reassuring about visually seeing a baby developing normally.
How are you feeling? Pretty good, aside from the massively uncomfortable heartburn.
Raves/Rants: None!
Questions: Is it normal to not have an ultrasound between the first viability screen and the anatomy scan? This is my first rodeo.
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? Hot chocolate and banana or pumpkin bread. Yuuummmmmmm
It has been standard practice with all 3 of my pregnancies that I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and 20 weeks. While that does seem long and daunting, I think it's pretty typical. You should get to hear baby's heartbeat though!
@runwmusic I totally hear you, it's a matter of to each their own-some people very traumatized by hospitals and afraid of being abused again or even getting sick from hospital germs too. Those I know who have done it brought in all the add linens and delivered in a portable birth pool they brought with. Again, not for everyone at all, totally agreed. I'm not sure I would do it. But I know I'm never putting on a hospital gown in labor again either. Or wearing mesh undies, lol. Everyone has things they can and can't handle. 🤷

Upcoming appointments: Nothing until Jan 7 now
How are you feeling? Pretty good! The nausea is mostly gone. Replaced by a lot of back pain, headaches, and some round ligament pain
Raves/Rants: Rave - We told the rest of my extended family yesterday so now we’re just waiting to do our Facebook announcement on Christmas Day!
Rant- Why do people already insist on touching my belly?! So many family members did this yesterday and I do not appreciate my bubble being invaded.
Questions: None!
GTKY: What's your favorite food to eat during the holidays? My mom’s baking - particularly the Nanaimo bars
Also they don’t give us mesh undies here. Feel like I’m missing out 🤣
@mariabele totally normal to only have an 8 and 20 week! Then if you're late, one at 40 to see how long you can wait before induction (check if placenta is functioning and fluid levels).
