Fit Friday 12/6

How are you feeling this week?

What are you doing to stay active?

Any goals for next week?

Feel free to add anything- nutrition, etc!

Re: Fit Friday 12/6

  • How are you feeling this week?

Still feeling pretty normal although I swear I felt some RLP type twinges at some points during my workout today.

What are you doing to stay active?

I’m still running and doing my Bootcamp workouts (HIIT style workouts). This week I went to track, got an easy run in, and did Bootcamp today. Tomorrow I’m running 4 miles with friends.

    Any goals for next week?

I’m hoping to get in 3-4 runs and 2 Bootcamp sessions.

Feel free to add anything- nutrition, etc!

Right now my appetite is weird. I’m going to make sure I’m snacking enough before and after workouts but I’m not really wanting to eat a ton. Going to focus on nutrition dense foods and snacks to make sure I get what I need.

  • @tyrion_ are you a runner? I cannot imagine running right now, let alone 4 miles. My breast hurt from the slightest bounce right now. lol

I'm feeling pretty good. I know that when I move to quickly I get some RLP, but they never last long.

What are you doing to stay active?
I'm following T-25 on beach body. I do the modified moved when needed. I also plan to walk or do the bike at the gym after that.

    Any goals for next week?
I hope to do my workouts Monday through Friday next week and give myself Saturday and Sunday off.

It seems like I need snack in between meals, along with a midnight snack with my insomnia. I'm trying to stick with fruit for my snack in between breakfast and lunch and a salad between lunch and dinner. But I've been having a bowl of cereal as my midnight snack. Any suggestions for that snack would be great!

@blackgirlmagic What about yogurt for your midnight snack? It can help keep you full and it's sweet like many cereals are. You can even add a little granola for the cereal "crunch."

How are you feeling this week?
    I still feel pretty normal.

I take Pure Barre classes 2-3 times a week, usually Monday and Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. It's nice "me time" where I can shut my brain off. I also do a lot of walks with my husband. He is very obsessed with my FitBit and reaching my step goal every day (currently 9k). It is dark, cold, and snowy where we live and I refuse to walk outside so now we've been walking at the mall after dinner. However, yesterday he bought a treadmill off of Facebook and I cannot wait to set it up in my basement. No more driving back and forth to the mall!

    Any goals for next week?
I'm just planning to stick with my usual plans as much as possible. I haven't had any morning sickness yet, but I know it's coming and it will slow me down.

I feel myself heading into a lunch rut. I work out of my car and don't have access to a microwave. I used to eat what I called a deconstructed antipasti (salami, ham, cheese, olives, etc.) but that's going to be out now. Any ideas for lunches other than pb&j?
  • @blackgirlmagic I am. I’ve been able to run pretty deep into my previous pregnancies and I’m hoping to be able to do the same this time. My sports bras basically give me a uni-boob so there isn’t too much bounce.
  • @wednesdaygirl1019 yogurt is great idea thanks!
@tyrion_ I told my husband that I needed to buy more sports bra. They hurt way less than wearing a regular one. I admire people that love to run. I hate running, but I know it’s good for your body.

  • How are you feeling this week? I get weird waves of nausea that hit me hard and fast and waves of dizziness but they’re sporadic.

What are you doing to stay active? I work out every day with beach body. Right now I’m doing P90x3 and I love that it incorporates yoga because keeping my back strong is going to be crucial.

Any goals for next week? Stick to at least 5-6 days of workouts.

Feel free to add anything- nutrition, etc!
i struggle with nutrition. A toddler leaves me little time to prep meals but I’m trying to get some fruit in each day and a vegetable. I know I’m terrible.
  • @maureenbioni I’m so lazy with meal prep. I need to do a better job at least meal PLANNING for the week. Otherwise we fall into a lazy pattern of just ordering out. Not always the healthiest.
  • @maureenbioni I've started doing a lot of fruit/spinach/yogurt/protein powder smoothies since I struggle getting fruits and veggies too. Ironically my toddlers eat lots of fruits and veggies but somehow I'm always eating their leftover chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese, lol. My 3 year old loves the smoothies too so I usually give him the extra and it keeps me from snacking all afternoon. Smoothies are usually the only thing I can tolerate when morning sickness kicks in too so I'm stocking my freezer
