  • EDD / weeks+days: 10w 5d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out probably at anatomy scan

Baby is the size of a(n): prune

    Upcoming appointments: today!

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Feeling okay. I feel more normal but when I get hungry or tired it's so much more extreme.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)?  I like that it's helped my husband and I be closer :)
  • @SpartanCat Thank you for starting this! Good luck on your appt today!

    EDD / weeks+days: 11+3, 6/21

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Strawberry

    Upcoming appointments: NT scan 12/9

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? I’m feeling pretty good. I had my 1st OB appt yesterday(graduate from RE 2 weeks ago). And it went really well. I moved over summer so this is a brand new OB practice and I’m so glad I like them. And also so happy to see baby doing well. Strong heartbeat and growth on track. ❤️

Physically some days are better than others. But overall can’t complain too much.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)?
Telling my son he will be a big brother. He’s 5, but will be 6 by the time baby is born. And it’s been a long journey to #2. He’s waited a long time for this too and I’m so happy he is so excited and will be the best big brother!

  • Hello,

    First time posting!

EDD / weeks+days: So I posted on my introduction that we've been given two different due dates because we live in France but did IVF in Spain. In France and they count an extra week for pregnancy (who knew!) so I'm going to use that one because its what the doctors are going to use but it will be interesting to see which county system ends up being more accurate.
this is a generally good explanation if your interested as to why the French do it differently.
    https://www.eatenergizeexpect.com/french-and-american-pregnancy-due-dates/
    It makes me 11w2d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Not so sure. DH wants to find out and I had originally wanted to wait but I'm feeling a bit like our debate about names (we can't agree on anything) will be easier if we only have to duke it out over one.

Baby is the size of a(n): ripe apricot.

Upcoming appointments: Meeting the midwife from the birth centre Jan 7th.

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Had our first-trimester scan yesterday. Everything looked good. Was nice to see the baby kicking its legs all over the place. Also because I have a backward-facing uterus the Doctor had to push the ultrasound thingy really hard to get a good look, it was quite painful and she didn' warn me at all. She also because of this pointed out that she thought I was overweight and that I needed to not gain too much. This is also a general french thing - I've had every doctor I've seen in the 9 years I've lived here say that to me but its a bit more difficult to hear when you naked from the waist down.
I was informed yesterday that my doctor is on medical leave and won't be back at work until after our baby is born so we have to switch. It's not that the other doctor isn't nice she is, it's just that our doctor has been with us over our nearly two years of IVF to get this baby so its a bit sad that she won't be there.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's been your favourite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favourite part)? no more having to give myself shots (lol) getting to nap every day without anyone saying anything about it.
  • @Australian_girl_in_Paris Welcome! I also did IVF for this baby and agree being done with the shots is a great feeling isnt it? I'm sorry your doctor won't be with you. I feel kinda similar about my RE. He's been with me for almost 4 years of treatments and testing and graduated from the fertility clinic a few weeks ago , now im with an OB. They are really nice so far and I'm sure it will be great but its hard leaving a doctor that's been with you for so much.

  • EDD / weeks+days: 6/23 - 11w1d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out (I think)

Baby is the size of a(n): Groucho Marx's mustache

    Upcoming appointments: 12/9

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? nauseous and tired

    Questions: none

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? My favorite part is feeling them move but before anyone can feel it on the outside.  It's my secret time with the baby.  After their movement is feelable(?) for everyone, I do love toward the end when they're rolling around.
  • EDD / weeks+days: 10+5

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out soon! My NIPS draw was Monday and it's a local company so I'm hoping for a quick turn around.

Baby is the size of a(n): 🍓 Strawberry!

Upcoming appointments: Dec 30 is our next OB appointment, but I have to do my glucose test before then. Boo.

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? The nausea is slowly getting better but the fatigue is still so real.

Questions: How are you all feeling about the holidays and being pregnant? My DS was born just before Thanksgiving, so I missed this completely last time around.

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Our first scan. DH and I were both in tears to see that tiny heart beat on screen and, oh, the wiggles! 🥰
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • EDD / weeks+days: 6/22 ; 11+3

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: we are having a baby boy: Luke

Baby is the size of a(n): Strawberry

Upcoming appointments: 12/12, but I've got to turn in my 24 hour urine tomorrow (yeah history of pre-eclampsia)

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? I'm feeling good as long as I eat. I've been having issues with low blood sugar and when that happens I feel so awful for hours afterwards.  I got to stop my progesterone but got to start my daily low dose aspirin. So trading one pill for another LOL.  Also insomnia sucks soooo bad but thank you Unisom for allowing me to go to sleep and sleep all the way through the night.

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Watch DS(4) hear his little brothers heartbeat on the doppler for the first time.  It was so priceless and I just wish I would have had my phone to take a picture.
  • Thanks for staring this up!

    EDD / weeks+days: umm like 10 +3 or 4 I can't remember

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Definitely finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Poker chip!

Upcoming appointments: December 16th, can't come soon enough!

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? I feel ok except my freaking sciatic nerve has been acting up super bad for the last week. i thought it was getting better and it's not

Questions: Does everyone get an ultrasound at their 12 week appointment? I see tons of people posting their pics I hope I do. I'm telling my mom Christmas and I'd love to have an updated photo for her.

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Meh I don't know, nothings really happened haha... I guess it's nice seeing how my DH has reacted, this is our first and he's excited and wants to go to all the appointments and be there with me. I'm very grateful for his support.

@kyrwyn I like having this exciting news to share around the holidays. PLUS I get to eat all the food and nobody can say anything
  • @QueenDaenerysT Are you doing an NT scan? Mine is scheduled for Monday and I will be 12+1. That is most likely what you are seeing people get around 12 weeks. It's done from weeks 11-13 I think.

@kyrwyn I agree with @QueenDaenerysT I have really liked how the timing around the holidays worked for announcing to family. And we are all already getting together so it's worked out nicely.

@hanshotfirst77 I'm not sure about the NT I haven't scheduled it yet, it's in the city and I have to take time off work that I really don't have. Plus I don't know if my insurance will cover it so I'm nervous I'll get hit with a huge bill. But my 12 week check up is just with my regular OB.
  • @QueenDaenerysT - an NT scan should be covered since since it's considered prenatal screening and not just an u/s for kicks and giggles.  Check with your insurance but my previous pregnancies had it covered and I had different insurance for both.
  • @QueenDaenerysT Yeah I would agree checking with insurance. Mine covers it. My OB had me schedule it after my first appt. I was previously with an RE(fertility treatment) but had my first OB appt at 11 weeks.

  • EDD / weeks+days: 10 weeks 3 days

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:  Finding out when NIPT test comes back

Baby is the size of a(n): brussel sprout

    Upcoming appointments: 12/19 regular appointment

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Little ticked I'm not going to get another u/s until week 18. 41 so high risk. First one was early, around 5 weeks. Had a miscarriage back in March so needing reassurance all is ok. Feeling good tho, well tired, sore boobies, nauseous,  starving all the time and peeing constantly... but that means all is well so feeling good about it lol

Questions:  How long did it take for everyone to get NIPT test back? And any other mom's having another baby after so many years after ur last? My youngest is 13!

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)?  Just imagining what h/she may look like. Hoping it gets dad's red hair, et . Cant wait to meet you baby!
  • EDD / weeks+days: June 29th, 10 weeks 4 days

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out at anatomy scan because my doctors office never even asks me if I want the blood test that you can find out the gender in. 🙄

Baby is the size of a(n): honestly don't even know 😅

    Upcoming appointments: Thursday!

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Like total poop honestly. Unisom and b6 aren't going anything for my morning sickness. I can barely eat or keep anything down.

Questions: anyone else dealing/dealt with a subchorionic hemorrhage? They said I have a small one where baby implanted and that it's not a big deal. Still makes me a little nervous as I've never had this with any of my other pregnancies.

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Probably the first ultrasound. That's always one of the sweetest moments. I love being able to see tiny babe and see he or she's is doing good.
  • @eele_ I've had subchorionic hemorrhages with both of my pregnancies.  DS was totally fine I spotted from 5wks till 20wks but all was well and he is a perfectly happy 4yo.  I have one this time too.  ER visit at 6wks for bleeding showed a small one, but at my 8wk scan it was almost completely resolved and no other issues and no further bleeding this time.  As long as they aren't large they are typically not a big deal.
  • @eele_ lurking but I had one with DS. It came out around 10 weeks, and while that was terrifying I had no other issues.
  • EDD / weeks+days: June 21. 12+4

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out! Not until anatomy scan though

Baby is the size of a(n): lime or apricot

Upcoming appointments: Just had one on Tuesday. Next check up is Jan 7 and hopefully a specialist appt for my thyroid around the same time

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? The nausea is pretty much only in the evenings or if I don’t eat enough now, so that’s good! Tiredness, back pain, and headaches are on and off. Still battling some congestion, as well

    Questions:

GTKY: What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Telling our families and seeing their reactions!
