    Posted this to my FB and 3 people, including 2 people who had gone through successful IF treatment, responded that others shouldn’t have to worry about how others will react to their comments about TTC or surprise announcements at Thanksgiving or other holidays. (I added a part about thinking twice before doing this when I shared the link.) No one asked their opinions - it’s literally telling those who are struggling that it’s okay to feel however they want without feeling guilty.

    @NYTino24 this is a great article. That sucks that people took it as a warning against making announcements/comments, etc. Obviously whoever had the knee-jerk reaction didn't read it or read it very carefully.

    My WTF happened while getting my nails done.   TW 
    There was a pg nail tech there so the woman next to me was chatting with her tech about the pg girl and her own kids....
    My nail tech asks me if I have any kids, to which I simply say "not yet".  She asks how long I'm married and I say "3 and a half years".  She replied "oh you're not desperate".  Confused I blurt out "for what" and she responds "kids".  W..T..F??!!  So much for my relaxing me time...

    @emeraldduchess Well that was part of my point - be aware that some people may be struggling, especially during the holidays, and maybe don’t do a surprise in-person thing on a holiday and / or don’t ask childless people / those who maybe have secondary IF TTC questions.
    @ziggymama06 I feel like it’s inescapable. TV, radio, commercials, ads, etc. Sorry it wasn’t relaxing for you.

    Dx: low morph (1%), ANA positive, low decidualization score, high TSH and testosterone, histone antibodies

    IUI #1-3 | all BFN
    IVF #1 | 6.11.19 | 24R, 17M, 15F, 6B, PGT-A tested - 5 normal, 3 girls & 2 boys
    FET #1 | 9.10.19 | BFN "I know you, but we've never met. I'm with you, but I don't know your name"
    RPL, Receptiva, & ERA testing | all normal/negative, recommended going on gluten and dairy free diet for next FET
    FET #2 | 3.31.20 | Opted to cancelled due to pandemic, continued diet and tried naturally over the summer
    2nd Opinion with another RE | 8.20.20 | Not immune to measles (received 1 dose); SA results similar to 2 years ago; decided to move forward with FET #2 redo at start of next cycle
    Surprise natural BFP! | 9.22.20 | MC 10.23.20 at 8 weeks
    TTCAL naturally | starting 11.22.20

    Initial consultation with Reproductive Immunologist | 9.14.21
    Decidualization score biopsy | 10.1.21 | abnormal - low score of 1; endometrial scratch recommended and progesterone supplementation
    Saline sono | 10.15.21 | normal
    Bloodwork | 10.21.21 | high TSH, high testosterone, positive for anti-nuclear antibodies and histone antibodies, high protein S, multiple genetic mutations

    @NYTino24 💕💕💕 I think the article itself proves that point nicely in the beginning - it’s far easier to look back on the IF journey from the other side, however they get there. It’s sad that some people lack empathy for others even after having lived through it themselves. 

    @ziggymama06 so sorry, friend. That nail tech can go fly a kite in my opinion.

    @NYTino24 I definitely needed that article, thank you for sharing! So sorry for the comments you got, like others have said...they clearly didn’t read the article and have obviously forgotten about how it felt being on the other side!

    Thanks girls.  Definitely caught me by surprise.  Obviously I've had ppl ask me if I have children and that's fine, whatever... just so odd how ppl have no regards for what may be going on below the surface.  Had a nice night with hubs and ready to pig out tomorrow.  Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving 💗
