This is my 3rd loss in 19 months but this is the furthest I’ve been along during any of my miscarriages so I feel more heartbroken. My husband came with me during my anatomy scan and I knew something was off right away when she stopped after a few minutes and sent me to Labor and Delivery. My little boy ended up having a knot in his umbilical cord and the cord was also wrapped around his left leg so he had no heartbeat. Apparently this is rare. I just thought we were safe being this far along and I pray that we get our rainbow baby soon as I am getting older and I fear that my time is running out. Luckily my having my DS around is helping me with the grieving process. Anyways sorry for the ramble and best of luck to all you mamas.
I'm so sorry. I hope you get your rainbow baby soon!!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
I am heartbroken for you. Cord issues are rare, but they are gut wrenching. We lost our DD due to cord issues. Grieve how you need to and lean on each other and know nothing you did caused this. I am so sorry for your loss of your baby boy.
I'm so glad that your husband was able to come to the scan with you do you didn't have to find that out alone. Sending you strength and love while you grieve and heal
