We all spend a lot of time doing things for everyone else and not nearly enough time doing things for ourselves. 

So... what’s something you’ve done for yourself lately?

I recently got a half hour foot massage that had me walking on clouds afterwards and lifted so much stress off of my shoulders. I told myself that I need to do this monthly.

One thing I refuse to let go of are my trips to the hair salon. I schedule them every 12 weeks and go without fail. Two weekends ago I had my cut, color and style and it was glorious. So yeah, every three months I get some “me” time

@kmalls I definitely look forward to my trips to the salon too! At my salon they have a rewards program and with that I get a free deep conditioning treatment with a hot towel on top with every wash. Feels so good to have my hair styled since I'm always an air dry and go person with my hair.

Early on Saturday mornings, I play a video game. It is nice to be up before everyone, have a cup of decaf and just play.

I like to take 15-20 minutes for myself every morning before work - I sit and knit or even watch Instagram videos. It's just "me" time where no one is calling for me or saying my name, and it's amazing.

I am loving all of these... I'm overdue on some me time, but planning on getting my hair cut this weekend... which reminds me I need to call and book it.  If my office closes early tomorrow I plan to get a manicure.

Saturday mornings, I get up before DH (and the dog), make myself a cup of tea, and catch up on some of the shows I don't get to watch during the week (usually A Million Little Things).

I decided to do a 30 day gratitude challenge. I think a lot about what I don’t have and it helps to lift my mood to think about what I do have. I love that the challenge isn’t just about things (house, car etc) and is more about gratitude for growth, experiences and other intangibles. It’s super calming to focus my energy elsewhere.

Well like a week or so ago now I had my nails done which was so nice and this weekend I’m getting my hair dyed and my bangs cut 😁 Looking forward to that.

I adopted a kitten. Because damnit I WILL have a baby this year. A baby cat, yes, but I am calling it a win.

Yesterday I went to the salon just for a deep condition and a blow out and I loved every second of it

I just realized I never answered this one. I recently had a boudoir session and (hopefully today) I'll be booking a RAW project boudoir session with my photographer for next year.

Well... went and had my hair done today at the salon and that was a disaster.😫 I left the salon irritable, pissed off and definitelyfar from relaxed. My hair appt was for 11am and my stylist wasn’t there. The lady there had to call him and he had slept in and forgot all about my hair appt. he said he put it as 12 noon when he knew we booked it for 11am. I had to wait 40 mins for him to finally show up. He wasted more time stopping at Starbucks for a coffee. Called the salon to ask if I wanted a coffee or tea. I said No!  I’m sorry but I don’t want your pitty coffee. I just want you to show up to do your job. 😡 By the time he got there I was annoyed. He tried to pawn me off on someone else which made me more mad.  We worked out a price I would pay but seriously... then he tells me “ oh I’m sorry I was up till 3am playing cards and didn’t sleep till 3:30am and he slept in this morning. I looked at him and said so cause you were up till early am and was late for my appt. How is that my problem???🤔 He’s like well your right it’s not, I’m like nope. Like wtf?... Anyways, needless to say I’m done! I’m not going back there ever again. He did the same thing to my husband a while back when he went to get his hair cut and was late and didn’t show up and had some excuse. Sooo unprofessional. Well.. back to the drawing board to find a new salon to go to.
