I just realized we never started an appointment thread! I had my 12 week Monday. Baby is already like ds and was moving constantly. Dr had to refind it 4 times to listen to the heartbeat for more than a half second. I am going to have my hands full!
I finally had my first appointment on Monday, at 11+2. Quick ultrasound. Squid is already quite a bit more chill than my second. No apparent harm done from my early CAT scan or heavy pain killers from kidney stone at 3 weeks along...
Placenta might be low and anterior again, so we'll have to get a real good look at gt during anatomy scan, make sure it's not over cervix, embedded into my scar, etc. Otherwise baby looks good, and we're putting plans in place for home birth, preventing pre term labor, and getting me a handicapped parking permit for duration of pregnancy, due to already having mobility issues from super painful separating pelvis.
Declined chromosome testing.
Will see home birth provider soon, and back to OB right before Christmas.

Had my first OB appointment today at 10+2. She found the heartbeat with the Doppler right away! I was kinda sad because I wanted her to use the handheld ultrasound so I could see baby, but hearing the heartbeat was a huge relief.
I do have a small cyst on my left ovary near the corpus luteum. She wasn’t concerned, and said it normally goes away on its own, but if I get left side pain to call immediately. She also wasn’t worried about spotting - ive had a bit more the last two days but am also sick and have been coughing so we figured that’s why. Next appt is a week before Christmas!
Oh also she said we can try for a vbac! As long as I can go into labor on my own before 41ish weeks, without pitocin or another induction method.
Hooray!
I would still tend to question why you need to go into labor at that time, ACOG recommends waiting for labor until 42 weeks and even favors induction over RCS for VBAC moms if labor hasn't started yet. "Big baby" and "low fluids" are two of the current bigger myths that OBs give to avoid VBAC without medical reason.
Eta Sorry, I'm being overzealous again. I'll shut up now.

@chaos-and-coffee That’s great you can try for a VBAC! I was able to have a VBAC with my second (weighed over 9 pounds, but my doctor was very supportive and it worked out) I hope it works out for you too! The recovery was much better for me.
12 week appointment today followed by bloodwork so hoping we find out the sex sooner than later 🤞 All is well...baby's heartbeat was 164. Have to go to MFM for my next ultrasound because of my age 🙄 but at least that will be around 18 weeks! I'm pretty sure my AS with my office were always 20-21 weeks. Excited to see the little nugget sooner than expected!
I had my NOB at 8+3 last week. All was well baby measuring 8+4 with a HR of 174. Next appointment is December 12th. I need to do my 24 hour urine since I had Pre-eclampsia last time. And I start low dose aspirin between 10 and 12 weeks about the same time I stop my vaginal progesterone. Anatomy scan is scheduled for February 3rd (20wks).
3rd MFM Appointment today and all was well! 11 weeks tomorrow but baby is measuring a few days ahead on US. Got to stop progesterone last week and so far no spotting. Even my blood counts were good! Going into this pregnancy in much better shape than with DD and I’m so incredibly relieved. This was the stage where the doctors started getting really worried about my counts last time so to have only “boring” appointments so far is exciting. Doctor said they’re hoping I stay boring but they’re all on alert in case I don’t. Love my MFMs!

I met my new midwife yesterday for my intake appointment at 12+0. We did a birth center with a midwife last time and then moved to an area where it’s just not an option. I wanted to do hospital this time around, and I think she is going to be a perfect bridge for us for a hospital birth. Baby was measuring right on track with a heart rate of 163 and moving like crazy, and I start weaning the progesterone this week!! 🙌
