Cravings/Aversions: I've started craving chai tea lattes, which is super weird since I'm not usually a tea person at all. I'm still craving the usuals -- especially cheesy things and sweets. I've been in a big grilled cheese mood for the last few weeks. If we go out to eat anywhere, I'm usually ordering off the kid's menu, hahaha. No real aversions except sometimes I'm just NOT hungry at all, and then no food sounds appetizing, even though I know I need to eat consistently throughout the day to avoid getting shaky.
Upcoming appts: I have an appointment this Friday for a regular checkup along with the glucose test. Also getting another U/S done for one or two measurements they weren't able to get during the anatomy scan last month.
Rants/Raves: My back has started hurting more and more often lately and it's super annoying. Even sitting in my usual spot on my couch hurts after a bit. I feel like I'm constantly shifting positions, even while sleeping. I'm not a fan of back pain.
Questions: Not right now, surprisingly.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) Pre-pregnancy, I was amazingly organized with holiday shopping! I'd hand write a list of everyone I was going to make a cross-stitch for as early as August or September and then get started on those right away. And then I'd purchase gifts to go along with the cross-stitches and be done with that portion by the end of October or mid-November at the latest. I'd be finishing up cross-stitches through early December and have a few weeks to wrap stuff and be lazy and enjoy Christmas. This year, however, has been very different. I finally started working on cross-stitch ornaments last week, and I likely won't buy everyone a gift to go along with the cross-stitches. I have a lot less disposable income this year, so that plays a part in the gifting too. But I like to get my gifts organized and done early. The earlier, the better!
Baby is the size of a(n): Grapefruit / A Bunch of grapes
Cravings/Aversions: My sweet tooth gets more aggressive everyday and of course I walk into work this morning and someone brought in donuts. I couldn't resist lol No aversions at the moment, but my appetite is pretty much under control and I don't feel the need to be constantly eating all day to keep up with it.
Upcoming appts: Regular check-up with glucose test next Tuesday (11/26).
Raves: I had my fetal echocardiogram last Thursday to do a more in-depth look at the heart since the tech who did my regular AS wasn't able to view the whole heart and felt that there may have been a part of it missing. Well, we got great news that baby's heart looks great and the Cardiologist wasn't able to find any major defects or holes. Now I can finally breathe and relax; that news brought soooo much relief
Also, baby is moving like crazy these days, especially at night and I'm loving every moment. I feel the best I've felt throughout this pregnancy so I'm taking it all in because I know as I get towards the end and get bigger, things will get a little tougher.
Questions: None this week.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I am a horrible holiday shopper. I never know what gifts to get people and I always wait until the last minute. I usually buy gifts the week before Christmas and I try to get everything in one trip which is so stressful. I'm trying to be more strategic this year because I know I won't be able to manage a 4 hour shopping trip in a crazy crowded store/mall.
Cravings/Aversions: I just want food in general lately... and my weight is showing that 😬
Upcoming appts: Thursday regular checkup and glucose test
Rants/Raves: I’ve got a nasty cold and it’s making me miserable. I’m pretty sure I’m single handedly keeping panty liner companies in business bc of every time I sneeze or cough... DS has it too but seems to still have all the energy in the world.
Questions: Are cough drops pregnancy safe? I’ve been using them sparingly when I just can’t get control of my coughing but google has mixed results. I feel like I used them last pregnancy but I’m not positive.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I’m in between. I kind of like to start and finish between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Though I usually end up finding some last minute things too and sometimes if something is perfect will get something early. I learned last year with hot toys sometimes it’s best to get it right away bc they sell out or the price goes up. Of course it’s guaranteed that as soon as I buy something there will be a sale in the next week or so 🤣

@Malidocious I hope you have a good appt and your glucose test goes well! I find myself shifting all the time too. I can’t pinpoint a position that causes my pains, seems to be staying stationary does it but that makes it tough at night or when I just want to relax and watch a movie or something.
@lizp1229 yay, that’s such great news that little ones heart is fine! This is probably the best part of pregnancy, you can relax a little after a/s results, get to feel movement, and aren’t too big to be exhausting!

Baby is the size of a(n): Cher’s cellphone in Clueless 😂
Cravings/Aversions: my sweet tooth has kicked in this last week, Ice cream and eggnog are my friends
Upcoming appts: 12/6 with my midwife (a little concerned seeing that everyone else is having their glucose tests etc, and my midwife has said we won’t even be scheduling it until my next visit on 12/6, I’ll be 26 weeks 🤷🏼♀️)
Rants/Raves: Rave to my husband agreeing to get out Christmas decor and tree up over the weekend 😂 we have to travel to our family this weekend for a birthday party AND next Thursday for Thanksgiving (it’s only 1.5 hours each way but still) and I was ready to get into the holiday spirit now!
Questions: is anyone making their family come to them for Christmas (or any of the holidays) this year? By Christmas I will be 29 weeks and feel like I will be much more comfortable in my home. As mentioned above our families both live in the same town (mine and DH’s hometown) about 1.5 hours north of us. The holidays for us are long days of driving to one sides house, then the other sides house, then home while trying to get enough time in with everyone. I know my family would be more than happy to come here and I am happy to host because I know they would help- but I think DH’s family will have a freaking cow about it since they already make comments all the time about how far away we live (we have been in our town for 3 years now and they have visited 4 times). My baby shower is 1/4 and is in our hometown and I planned that so it would be easiest for everyone to attend right after the holidays. Just curious if anyone else if changing some things up this year and how you are going about it?
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I am usually done after Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I love a good deal but I do tend to buy some stuff throughout the year as well if I come across the perfect gift!
@Malidocious I hear you on the back pain! Not sure if you have tried a chiropractor yet (I go regularly even when not pregnant) and it has been a lifesaver! My low back has been an issue since week 16, I think partly because baby boy is so dang low, and I can’t tell you how much better I feel/sleep with my bi-weekly visits.
Upcoming appts: Nov 26th. Just sent my nurse a message asking if I should be doing my glucose challenge at this appointment... it's not currently listed under my appointments/tests.
Rants/Raves: I have a PT appointment in early December to help with my back/hip pain as well as the pelvic floor weakness that I've had ever since giving birth the first time. The back/hip pain is definitely sciatica-related as it get worse with stretching and radiates down my butt cheek and leg. I keep forgetting that I fractured my sacrum, pelvis, and pubic bone about 5 years ago (horse riding injury), so I'm sure that's playing a part in how my pain presents.
Questions:
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) We don't go crazy for gifts. DH and I usually just tell each other what we want or buy it ourselves, and then we only do a couple other gifts for holiday parties and nieces/nephews. I'm sure we'll get DS a few gifts this year, but he's still too young to really understand the concept. I think I was like 17 the last time I did the whole buy-a-gift-for-everyone thing lol. Also, Team Online Shopping 4 Lyfe. I will murder someone if I ever have to do any significant holiday shopping in an actual, physical store.
____________
@Malidocious I feel you on the back pain! Sometimes doing certain stretches can help, but if it's true sciatica then stretching may not help (I discovered this the hard way).
@varimama I think most cough drops are fine. I'd maybe avoid the "fancy" ones with extra ingredients just to be safe.
@emilyace I'm with you on the glucose test thing. Mine isn't scheduled yet either, but they may do it later like your midwife said. I vaguely remember them saying that they do it closer to 26-28 weeks, but I have no idea why there is discrepancy in the timing.
@MalidociousWhen I read your post Grilled cheese actually sounded good so I'm having my husband get me one on his way home. @lizp1229mine is also active at night. Not so much during the day. That's good news that everything was fine though! @varimamaI have used them just fine. I also had hot tea with lemon and honey when I was sick. I've been super sick twice during this pregnancy! Hopefully it doesn't last long. @EmilyaceNow is the perfect time to play the pregnancy card. If they don't want to make the effort they don't have to come! 🤷♀️ @stassischroederI have sciatica as well, likely from multiple car accidents. My back definitely hurts as well as other spots. if I could afford it I would see a chiropractor and massage therapist weekly.
EDD/W+D: March 15/23 weeks 1 day
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: pink
Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant
Cravings/Aversions: Pizza cravings sometimes. Sweet things occasionally. I want peppermint hot chocolate every day, and need to find a way to make one like Starbucks but cheaper! Can't stand Mexican food or Asian food.
Upcoming appts: Looking for a new ob since I moved.
Rants/Raves: Just a little sad, I don't think I'll really connect with this baby/pregnancy. This is my last baby so I really wanted to enjoy the process. I really hope I bond after she's born. It kinda worries me.
Questions: not really
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) Terrible shopper. I have been low on cash since having my son, so I always wait till the last minute since I don't have money. 🙈
@projectalice I didn't really feel connected to my first pregnancy, and I don't think I really bonded with my son until he was 6+ months old. Like I was immediately fiercely protective of him, but definitely missed my pre-baby life and didn't enjoy motherhood right away. But, now I think my son is the single best thing on the planet. LSS, a mother-child connection or bond can have many shapes and paths, and none of them are wrong!
Cravings/Aversions: I’ve been out of control with my cravings for junk so I’m trying to reign it in and put more healthy foods on the menu and less snacks.
Upcoming appts: Midwife this week and she’ll order the glucose test.
Rants/Raves: Rave: My husband and I went away overnight for our 8 year wedding anniversary/babymoon and it was amazing. We stayed in a B&B with the comfiest bed, fireplace, and soaker tub. I read a book, had a nice quiet dinner, and slept 12 hours. It was a pregnant toddler mom’s dream.
Questions: What’s everyone doing for lower back pain? Is a heating pad okay? Any stretching or gentle yoga videos you can recommend?
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I like to shop early so I don’t have to stress about not being able to get something, especially with the fad items the kids want. I’m basically done with the kids gifts and just working on gifts for a few family members. We do secret Santa on one side so only have to buy one gift there and only buy small trinkets for our parents. And hubs and I haven’t really done gifts for each other since we had kids. Now it’s more like I want to plan the baking and crafts I want to do with the kids, and our annual visit to the light show.
Cravings/Aversions: they come and go. I'll have a really strong craving for an odd item, then it will go away after I've had a few bites, so at times I've tried to ignore them because they can get annoying... but then I get really cranky if I have 'unfulfilled' cravings. I feel like I'm starving all the time but can only eat a few bites, then I'm hungry again right away. I've been doing a lot of grazing!
Upcoming appts: regular check up Dec 2nd, will have a second anatomy scan to get more measurements at some point.. midwife hasn't said when. I'm guessing it will have to be soon?
Rants/Raves: I have kind of a rant, I guess.. I feel like this pregnancy, there has definitely been less 'in person' support or interest for me, and it's been kind of sad. I work from home, which I love doing, but it does make it difficult to have a social outlet (going to work every day gave me more of that.) I don't really get out much after work because.. well.. kids. lol. so I am kind of missing the 'pregnancy chatter' that I had at work when pregnant with DS. I'm estranged from my family, too, so there's that... and DS's family lives far away and is preoccupied with a lot of other things going on for them right now, so I don't feel there is really that 'family excitement' there like there was for my first 2, either.
Questions: none at the moment.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) DH and I combined are a little of both. DH will order gifts online for the people we won't see in person, and he usually tries to do that ahead of time. (Or if DD wants some obscure item that we know might be hard to get, we'll order that online too.) For everything else, we usually go shopping last minute, and it can get hectic.
.....................................
@malidocious, I know what you mean by needing to eat but nothing sounding appetizing. I've been in that boat this week.. I feel like everything we have for supper is just gross, which makes it hard to decide what you're making every night. I'm getting a second anatomy scan too, which I'm excited about.
@varimama, we've got a cold circulating around our house too.. I just wish it would go away! It seems to be the longest lasting cold I've had in a long time. I used cough drops just because I was completely miserable without them, I guess it didn't occur to me to check if they were safe during pregnancy. oops.
@emilyace, my glucose test hasn't been scheduled yet either. maybe every practice is different for when they do them? I wouldn't stress about making it to everyone's house this year for the holidays.. if they can't come to you, a quiet holiday at home isn't so bad. (you might even find that you like it more!) that is normally how DH and I operate because his family is so far away (8 hours from us) and I'm estranged from mine.
@stassischoreder, sorry you're having to deal with all that hip/back pain!
@projectalice, I know what you mean about connecting with the pregnancy.. I feel the same way since this is also my last and I'm in the same boat. I had a hard time connecting in the first tri due to a lot of morning sickness, and I feel disconnected now due to not feeling much movement and for a while there, a slight run of gender disappointment. I don't feel as connected this time as I did with my other 2 pregnancies, but I am still excited to meet this LO. I do wish that same 'feeling' was there though.
@emilyace@treetop19 I asked my OB yesterday, and she said that they prefer to do them around 28 weeks *shrug*. Again, I have no idea why there's so much discrepancy in the timing. Also, @treetop19 we're here to help fulfill your pregnancy chatter needs!
@momoftoddlers I'm totally losing the battle against my cravings. Any reasonable human being would be appalled at my diet lately. And your overnight away sounds sublime!
Cravings/Aversions: All the carbs....breakfast in particular has to be carb heavy. Bagels, grilled cheese, my guilty pleasure a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonalds. It's so bad but so good!!
Upcoming appts: Dec. 2 Reg. OB and Follow up Anatomy Scan
Rants/Raves: Rants: It's day 3 of me getting maybe 5 hours of sleep per night. I keep waking up at 4am and can't go back to sleep. Last night I was so upset I just started sobbing till my eyes hurt. DH works nights so it was just me sobbing and my pup looking at me like I am crazy.
Questions: None
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I would normally be done by now but I have no motivation to do any type of shopping. You will not catch me physically at a store ever lol especially this time of year. Avid online shopper here! I usually love the holiday's but I am feeling like a Grinch. I just want to stay home for thanksgiving and same for Christmas. I am feeling like such a downer this week.
@momoftoddlers Happy Anniversary. That sounds like a nice relaxing trip. I love to stay at B&Bs.
@projectalice I always crave pizza lol I use to really enjoy Asian food but it is now something my stomach will not tolerate. I've had it a few times recently and it didn't end well.
@emilyace I am hoping to get my Christmas decor up this week to get me more into the holiday spirit. I am thinking of hosting Christmas at my house this year. I normally have to travel to 4 different homes for the holidays and I don't think I want to do that at 29 weeks.
@lizp1229 Yay. That's great news. So glad your LO's heart is okay.
@Malidocious I love chai tea lattes! I also feel you on the back pain. It's not fun! @lizp1229 Good news about baby's heart! I'm loving the movements too! @varimama I was dealing with a cold like that last week. No fun! I would ask the doc about cough drops, but I think I used them during my last pregnancy when I had a nasty cold. @emilyace Since we've had DS, family usually comes to us now. I don't think it's too much to ask. It's much harder to travel while pregnant or with babies/kids, than it is for others. @stassischroeder Hopefully that PT appointment brings you relief. I'm also team online shopping! I don't have the patience for the crazies. @projectalice I honestly don't know how much I bond with my babies while pregnant. It's like the idea doesn't really connect for me. I'm unsure if this is my last, but I also wish I could cherish this pregnancy more in some way. And now I want peppermint hot chocolate! @momoftoddlers That B&B trip sounds awesome! My doc told me a heating pad on the back only (not abdomen) is okay in increments of 20 minutes or so. Also those heating patches could help. @treetop19 Bring on the pregnancy chatter! But I can imagine it's weird to not "share" it with anyone, since I talk to work pals a lot. @stacey6689 I've been waking up too early too! It sucks.
EDD/W+D: 3.10/24 weeks
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe
Cravings/Aversions: Just eating all the things, and putting on weight like it's my job.
Upcoming appts: I had a great follow up A/S yesterday! In two weeks, I'll have my glucose test and another checkup.
Rants/Raves: Rant: My first A/S is costing me $350! I still need to talk to the insurance company, but I really don't want monitoring of myself and baby to have to be limited because of cost. Also, I've been so busy at work lately, I feel super out of the loop on here! Rave: I'm working a different shift Thursday & Friday, and excited to be leaving work 2 hours earlier. The morning will be trickier, but it'll be nice to have more time at home in the evening.
Questions: Nope.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) We've picked up a few things for DS here and there that we've seen while out. Otherwise, I do most of my shopping after Black Friday and mostly online.
Hi everyone! I’m super late to the game this week but I promise I’ll go back and read everyone’s replies!
EDD/W+D: 24 weeks today! YAY viability!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Demi-baguette
Cravings/Aversions: chocolate and other sweets. It’s so bad. I keep telling myself I need to stop but my willpower is horrible and H brought home a few Costco bags of Lindt truffles and having them sit on my counter is no good.
Upcoming appts: Glucose test probably tomorrow and then OB appointment Friday.
Rants/Raves: I just feel SO tired all the time and I can’t shake it. I’m trying to be thankful but I’m so done being pregnant. I find myself wishing for a fast-forward button to have him here. I’m tired of feeling like sh*t always.
Questions: I can’t think of anything at the moment.
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) i would say I’m somewhere in between. If I find something perfect at any point during the year I’ll grab it. I have a stash in the basement for the kids. I like spreading out shopping because then I don’t feel like I’m spending a boatload of money all at once. I usually look for a few things on Black Friday also. This year I want to get H a smart watch and I think there may be some good sales. We shall see.
@miss.sally I feel you on being totally done being pregnant. I’m so tired of feeling like crap and being tired. I have things I want to do! And I also want allll the chocolate.
Baby is the size of a(n): Puffin, which makes me smile because they're the cutest.
Cravings/Aversions: I haven't had any major cravings this week. But I have been SO thirsty. Like I can't get enough water and feel like I'm constantly chugging it.
Upcoming appts: Chiropractor tonight, OB and glucose screen isn't until 12/17.
Rants/Raves: I went to a chiropractor at the recommendation of my OB, to help handle sciatic nerve and SPD pain, as well as migraines. Y'all. That woman is a freaking wizard. I'm not sure what she did, but I can walk without looking like a cowboy. It still hurts a bit, but is overall SO much better. Yay!
Questions:
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) I usually start around now, and like to finish a week or so before Christmas.
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese I might have to try the chiro! How long do the benefits seem to last? I'm afraid I'll go get adjusted, feel great, then pick up my kid and be right back to feeling like hell.
I am late to the party, but I love our little/big group! Happy FRIDAY, ladies!
EDD/W+D: March 12, 24 weeks and
1 day!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team Gree, but I have lots of guesses!
Baby is the size of a(n): A PUFFIN! Awwwww!
Cravings/Aversions: I like food, you know, but still not craving sweets
that much.
Upcoming appts: I go on December 5 for a boring appointment. I
have the glucose drink but cannot find a good time to schedule it!
Rants/Raves: RAVE: I am SO glad it is Friday! We are going on a long family
road trip to Denver and taking the entire week off work! I am also LOVING my
new van! AND I went to the gym this AM and had a fantastic 5 mile run. I love
this part of pregnancy so much (in fear of the third trimester haha and
DREADING acid reflux)
Questions:
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you?
(ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in
between?) OMG ETA this... I start around Halloween, but I LOVE buying gifts, love love love. I just realized I get paid on black Friday, I'll be in the car all day, and I'll be feeling behind after a week of vacation... so I bet I do ALL of my shopping in the car that day hahaha. No shame.
@malidocious a Furby hahaha! Also I can’t imagine what not
being hungry is like lol. Yay for today’s US!
@lizp1229 Yay for the good update on the perfect looking
heart! I also LOVE the movement and definitely feel it more at night. Yay!
@varimama Package of Oreos is SO confusing… what size?
Surely not a full tray of Oreos yet? Also I feel you on wanting food. Legit sitting
here not sure I can make it to lunch.
@emilyace I haven’t done my test either and was targeting 26
weeks (it works best with my schedule) and the OB said anything between 23-28
is normal…
@stassischroeder That injury sounds AWFUL! I hope the PT
helps. I have diastasis recti (bad) and KNOW that I need to find time to do
that… so report all the positive help you get. That pain sounds beyond
annoying. I had a bit about a year after DS was born—so mild—and I STILL found
it unbearable.
@projectalice OMG (vegan) Peppermint Hot Chocolate is my
favorite winter treat… and by treat I mean I have it 3-4 times a week. And are
there things you are trying to do to bond with the baby? I find it harder this
time, but at night after I put my other kids down, ESPECIALLY if baby is
moving, I find there is time for connection. I hope you get there, but you know
you’ll be bonded no matter what! I also really don’t feel guilty for having to
proactively carve out bonding time with this one… I mean, life, you know?
@momoftoddlers That trip sounds amazing… the bed, tub, and
12 hours of sleep!
@treetop19 Ugh what a bummer. I felt that a lot with my second
pregnancy—and even more acutely, his birth. Sure there was some excitement, but
it was NOTHING like it was with DD. This time I’m forcing people to be (or
pretend to be) excited. Zero shame. But it is such a bummer. It’s a NEW family
member! A baby! How is everyone not SO excited?
@stacey6689 I am so sorry about the lack of sleep. I hate
that so, so much. Hope it is improving.
@MrsVP614 WTH to the cost of the AS? That seems insane!
@miss.sally So sorry you are tired! I had an awful night’s
sleep Sunday and could not function on Monday. I actually sleep SO well
pregnant, mostly because I go to bed WAY earlier than normal… but being tired
(especially with kids and the holidays) blows.
@Workingonmynightcheese OMG I thought the same thing when
the puffin came up in the app! So glad you are getting some relief with the
Chiropractor!
@stassischroeder TBH only like 36-48 hours so far. But I hear it's longer if you stick with it. I can pretty much guarantee that the 2.5 hours of back carrying my toddler today undid everything from yesterday.
Re: Group 2 Check-In (3/9-3/16) w/o 11/18
EDD/W+D: March 13 / 23+3
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team Pink!!
Baby is the size of a(n): Eggplant, or a Furby
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): package of Oreos

(ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?)
I am usually done after Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I love a good deal but I do tend to buy some stuff throughout the year as well if I come across the perfect gift!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: pink!
Baby is the size of a(n): about 20 oz
Cravings/Aversions: still all the sugar.
@lizp1229 so glad baby's heart looks perfect!!!

@varimama I have used them just fine. I also had hot tea with lemon and honey when I was sick. I've been super sick twice during this pregnancy! Hopefully it doesn't last long.
@EmilyaceNow is the perfect time to play the pregnancy card. If they don't want to make the effort they don't have to come! 🤷♀️
@stassischroeder I have sciatica as well, likely from multiple car accidents. My back definitely hurts as well as other spots.

Questions: not really
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) Terrible shopper. I have been low on cash since having my son, so I always wait till the last minute since I don't have money. 🙈

Baby is the size of a(n): waffle iron 🤷🏻♀️
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: team pink
Baby is the size of a(n):

@treetop19 I'm sorry your feeling so isolated.
@stassischroeder Hope the PT helps with your pain.
@Malidocious Yes to all the cheese lol
@varimama I hope you feel better soon!
It sucks.

Yay!

Baby is the size of a(n): A PUFFIN! Awwwww!
Cravings/Aversions: I like food, you know, but still not craving sweets that much.
Upcoming appts: I go on December 5 for a boring appointment. I have the glucose drink but cannot find a good time to schedule it!
Rants/Raves: RAVE: I am SO glad it is Friday! We are going on a long family road trip to Denver and taking the entire week off work! I am also LOVING my new van! AND I went to the gym this AM and had a fantastic 5 mile run. I love this part of pregnancy so much (in fear of the third trimester haha and DREADING acid reflux)
Questions:
GTKY: What kind of holiday shopper are you? (ie. Started already in June, wait until the night before, something in between?) OMG ETA this...
Also I can’t imagine what not being hungry is like lol. Yay for today’s US!
@lizp1229 Yay for the good update on the perfect looking heart! I also LOVE the movement and definitely feel it more at night. Yay!
@varimama Package of Oreos is SO confusing… what size? Surely not a full tray of Oreos yet? Also I feel you on wanting food. Legit sitting here not sure I can make it to lunch.
@emilyace I haven’t done my test either and was targeting 26 weeks (it works best with my schedule) and the OB said anything between 23-28 is normal…
@stassischroeder That injury sounds AWFUL! I hope the PT helps. I have diastasis recti (bad) and KNOW that I need to find time to do that… so report all the positive help you get. That pain sounds beyond annoying. I had a bit about a year after DS was born—so mild—and I STILL found it unbearable.
@projectalice OMG (vegan) Peppermint Hot Chocolate is my favorite winter treat… and by treat I mean I have it 3-4 times a week. And are there things you are trying to do to bond with the baby? I find it harder this time, but at night after I put my other kids down, ESPECIALLY if baby is moving, I find there is time for connection. I hope you get there, but you know you’ll be bonded no matter what! I also really don’t feel guilty for having to proactively carve out bonding time with this one… I mean, life, you know?
@momoftoddlers That trip sounds amazing… the bed, tub, and 12 hours of sleep!
@treetop19 Ugh what a bummer. I felt that a lot with my second pregnancy—and even more acutely, his birth. Sure there was some excitement, but it was NOTHING like it was with DD. This time I’m forcing people to be (or pretend to be) excited. Zero shame. But it is such a bummer. It’s a NEW family member! A baby! How is everyone not SO excited?
@stacey6689 I am so sorry about the lack of sleep. I hate that so, so much. Hope it is improving.
@MrsVP614 WTH to the cost of the AS? That seems insane!
@miss.sally So sorry you are tired! I had an awful night’s sleep Sunday and could not function on Monday. I actually sleep SO well pregnant, mostly because I go to bed WAY earlier than normal… but being tired (especially with kids and the holidays) blows.
@Workingonmynightcheese OMG I thought the same thing when the puffin came up in the app! So glad you are getting some relief with the Chiropractor!
