Cravings/Aversions: Lately, it's like nothing is satisfying me. Everything I eat is just blah lol I am not a picky eater at all so idk whats up.
Upcoming appts: Tomorrow is my Glucose Test!! Wish me luck!! Dec. 2nd I go back for more Anatomy scan pictures since the LO was being shy.
Rants/Raves: Rave: I am just so excited to have made it to 22 weeks! Can't believe I am going to be a mommy in a few months! Rant: We started cleaning out our 2nd bedroom to get it ready for the LO and I swear my husband is a hoarder. He just refuses to get rid of pointless stuff. I don't think he realizes how much space we are going to need for all the baby stuff.
Questions: None
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I am pretty consistent when it comes to voting. I think it's important.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: anatomy scan confirmed that we're Team Pink
Baby is the size of a(n): bok choy. Anatomy scan said she was about 13 oz
Cravings/Aversions: craving lots of sweets lately. Not ideal considering I've already gained 20 lbs
Upcoming appts: Just a boring ol' check up on Nov 22
Rants/Raves: DS is finally back to daycare after having HFM. Of course he gets it right before I go to a 3-day conference, but luckily MIL was able to watch him since obviously we weren't going to send him to daycare. Also, this was the first week I started seriously considering working 4 days/week and staying home 1 day of the work week. I could never be a full-time SAHM, but its starting to bother me more and more how much other people are raising our kid(s).
Questions: nope
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yup. I hate politics, but understand how important it is to vote.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Pink!!! We just found out last week.
Baby is the size of a(n): Weasel
Cravings/Aversions: Veggies and dip, all day, every day.
Upcoming appts: OB check-up next week. I just had our AS last Friday.
Rants/Raves: hiiiiii everyone! I'm sorry I've been MIA. DD was sick, then we started all of her different autism therapies, then I went to California for work for five days, then she got sick again. Ayyyyyyyeeee. I'm hoping things are settled for a bit.
My big rant is that we had our anatomy scan last Friday and they said that everything looks perfect. Their words were "absolutely textbook, a perfect-looking ultrasound!" I was so relieved, after everything we've been through, that I burst into tears. And we found out we're having another girl! We would have been thrilled either way, but I'm so excited for DD to have a sister. I always wanted one so I'm just so happy for her.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I vote in all of the things, including local. My parents are both in local government and instilled this in me very early on.
Baby is the size of a(n): Baby Bok Choy according to the Ovia app
Cravings/Aversions: My most recent and consistent craving has been the combination of warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream, so delicious! No aversions at the moment. My appetite has been bigger but I def have it more under control these days. I've gained around 17 lbs so far so my OB/GYN has made it a point to remind me to watch how much I'm eating.
Upcoming appts: Follow-up Anatomy Scan Thursday, 11/7 (baby didn't cooperate fully in the first scan; he was on his chest most of the time, so the tech wasn't able to see a full view of the heart or palate). Everything else looked great on the scan though, so that made me very relieved and happy!
Monthly OB/GYN appt Nov 26th.
Rave: I'm so excited because I've been feeling consistent real movement since Friday! I was sitting on my couch watching TV when I felt the first actual kick. I looked down at my stomach and I saw the movement. I'd been waiting for this moment for so long, so of course I stared at my belly like a weirdo for the next 30 min waiting for more movement lol I've felt movement everyday after eating breakfast and at night before bedtime.
Questions: Is anyone else dreading the Glucose test? I've heard some not so nice stories about it so I'm really nervous and not looking forward to it at all! I have to take the test at my upcoming OB/GYN appt later this month.
@stacey6689 good luck on your glucose test, let us know how it goes!
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yes, yes and yes I know that my ancestors weren't afforded this opportunity so I vote to honor them and I vote because I want my voice to be heard. I know that -politicians can and will only do so much, but I try and at least vote for those whose values and morals align with mine.
Baby is the size of a(n): liter of whiskey I guess?
Cravings/Aversions: currently I want a s’mores PopTart. Fairly certain I haven’t had once since... maybe ever? Maybe a sleepover in middle school? Who knows. But I need that. And also a vanilla iced coffee from chick fil a.
Upcoming appts: I have my glucose test this month at some point. Already freaking out for that. I’ve always failed the first one and then passed the second. But I freaking HATE TAKING THEM. Such a pain in the ass and that drink is so gross.
Rants/Raves: I talked to my OB last week about weight gain and she said she felt for me, but that I’ve only gained 8lb and that’s really nothing to worry about. And then she prescribed me a laxative and stool softener for the pains I’ve been having that she th inks are backed up bowels. And I lost THREE POUNDS you guys. That’s how full of sh*t I was. 😂. It’s been... something. Lol. Have to laugh about that because I don’t know what else to think. But at least my body is clearing itself finally. It’s only been like 23 weeks of this.
Questions: please someone recommend me some maternity jeggings?! I don’t want to order online if I haven’t heard anything good about them. I just am not a fan of jeans but I’d like one comfy pair so I don’t wear leggings every single day. Lol.
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I do vote. Not in the primaries because I’m not associated with a party, but in all the main elections I do!
Cravings/Aversions: Halloween candy is not standing a chance in our house 😬 DS has been getting too much too. I really want to start baking Christmas cookies but I feel like it’s too early
Upcoming appts: Glucose test and OB checkup 11/21
Rants/Raves: I can’t believe it’s already November. I’m usually a Christmas after thanksgiving person but I’m just wanting to plan all of the Christmas stuff. I got us matching Christmas PJs this year, DH is probably going to hate it and refuse to wear his...
we started cleaning out our spare room which is going to be DS’s room and my hoarder is showing. I’m so anxious about getting rid of stuff but I’m trying to not be bc I know we have to. DH is right a lot of it has sat there since we moved 3 years ago so it needs to go but inside I’m like but what if someday I need a single bar stool?
Questions: none right now
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yes but not every year, it kind of depends on the year for me and how strongly I feel about who is running. I try to vote in the primaries but when we got to the caucus last time it was so over packed (they picked way too small a venue). People were parking 2 miles away and walking in the rain so we said nope and went home.
Me: 33 | DH: 34 Married: October, 19, 2015 EDD 2/22/17 DS1 born on 3/2/17 EDD 3/8/20 DS2 born on 3/10/20 EDD 11/24/23 (Formerly Marriedhamstermom Feb ‘17)
@stacey6689 good luck with your glucose test! I’m pretty sure DH is frustrated with me being a hoarder right now lol
@stassischroeder hope your DS is feeling better from the HFM, that is no fun. For us DS was really fussy for 3ish days then once the spots started showing up he seemed totally fine. DH on the other hand moaned and groaned about his spots, I was lucky and didn’t get it.
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese I’m so glad everything looks good for your anatomy scan! Sisters will be so much fun!
@lizp1229 I didn’t think the glucose drink was bad at all last time. Mine was orange which I’m not a fan of but I didn’t even think it was overly sweet. A little more sweet than a typical soda.
@miss.sally maybe I need to go to a laxitive too. I’ve been doing Miralax and Stool Softners. I can go every day but idk I still feel like it’s not enough and every night I feel so uncomfortable. Sorry you’re dealing with it too!
I can't believe it's already that time. I've been dreading cleaning out our 3rd bedroom because I'm 100% the hoarder in the family. @stassischroeder OMG, I'm terrified of HFM. I'm glad your son is on the mend! Do you think you'd be able to go down to 4 days a week? Working 3-4 days a week is my dream. I don't want to be a SAHM, but I would love a little extra time with my kid(s). @WorkingOnMyNightCheese How are the therapies going? Also, yay for a great anatomy scan. We're also having a second girl and I'm delighted too! @lizp1229 I've also been craving apple pie!! My husband made some BS called an apple tarte tartin and it WAS NOT THE SAME. @miss.sally I LOLed when I read about your 3 lbs of poop! Sorry. I feel your pain. I've been taking Miralax every night but I'm also not even close to regular. The worst part is that when I do finally have to #2, I can't always go because I'm teaching. I gots to get me some poop juice! I don't have any jegging reccos, but I have some super stretchy jeans from Motherhood that I don't hate... @varimama I say start the cookies! I have a crazy sweet tooth right now and I'm feeling like a cookie monster. Where did you get your Christmas jammies? I'm on the fence about it. I'm suuuper frugal and don't like to buy a bunch of single use stuff so I can't decide if xmas jammies are worth it. I'd have to buy a new set for everyone every year because the kids will grow out, right? @kagesstarshroom Thanks for starting our thread for us!!
EDD/W+D: 3/12 21+4
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Pink!
Baby is the size of a(n): 11 inches long
Cravings/Aversions: Give me all the sweets!!! I have eaten so much Halloween candy, which is totally out of character for me. I've also been eating Haagen-Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream every single night. I think that my practically non-existent weight gain is coming to a close. ETA that I'm also really craving root beer! I never drink soda but I want it all the time. I've limited myself to a few a week so far.
Upcoming appts: Check up on the 27th. I need to call my midwife and see when to schedule my glucose test!
Rants/Raves: I was so stressed for the longest time about my DD's expressive language development (I'm special ed certified, so I have a lot of feelings about things like this). Over the past few weeks, her language has exploded! It's been so fun to see her try out new words. On the flip side, homegirl has been throwing objects at me all the time and it's wearing on my nerves. Whenever I ask her to give me anything, she flings it and it hurts.
Questions: none
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Sure do!
Baby is the size of a(n): Least Weasel (huh?) or bok choy!
Cravings/Aversions: I’m craving “healthy” food, but my body isn’t sure
what that is right now… more fruits and veggies? Protein?
Upcoming appts: I go this Thursday morning for a routine appointment
Rants/Raves: Rant: Winter is basically starting on Thursday night, and I’m
bummed about it. What happened to fall? Rave: I made myself go for a 4 mile run
right after work yesterday. Genius.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries
too? I vote and voted this AM! I
vote every year and in the primaries as I'm a registered Democrat, 100% for sure liberal. UO I have lots of opinions about people
who don’t vote.
__________________________
@stacey6689 Despite this being baby number 3, I always
forget when they do the glucose test… but they are making you do it early,
right?
@stassischroeder So glad to hear DS is better. I hate HFM! I
also feel you 100% on the other people raising our kids thing. I think working
4 days a week would be AMAZING. I wish I could get that kind of arrangement at
work so badly.
@lizp1229 Yay for movement! Honestly, the glucose test is
fine. Is it something I would do for fun? No. But it’s short, it isn’t that
much that you drink… really NBD.
@miss.sally I think I am going to try some Metamucil or something
tonight. I’m not worried about weight gain, but I feel clogged up… three pounds
lol lol
@varimama Lol to being a hoarder. You MIGHT need that
solitary bar stool haha.
@keeksie84 I can’t remember how old your DD is… but she
sounds like she’s in the same phase as DS, who is going to be 23 months on the
26th. Please stop throwing things in my face haha.
Cravings/Aversions: I've had a sweet tooth, now that seems to be easing up a bit which is good, especially since our house is flooded with Halloween candy.
Upcoming appts: Just had one yesterday, all looks good - but they didn't schedule another ultrasound like I thought they would, even though they needed more measurements of the heart. The midwife didn't seem concerned and said 'we'll do that later on' and scheduled me for another appointment 4 weeks from now. It was kind of weird. He said since my Harmony test results looked good and everything else looked good I was pretty much in the clear, which eased my pgal brain quite a bit.
Rants/Raves: Excited about the upcoming holidays.. I love this time of year, especially all things Christmas. DH isn't a huge fan of Christmas, so I usually don't start decorating/baking until after Thanksgiving. This is one nice thing about having a March baby, I think - it will also make normally slow (and winter-y) January/February fly by because I'll be so full of anticipation for LO. DS was a Februrary baby and I have to say, the year he was born winter just seemed to fly by.
Questions: Anyone else have their provider wait on a 2nd anatomy scan?
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I didn't start voting until recently- and I plan to continue on with it.
@stacey6689, my husband is the same way.. he loves to keep pretty much everything. drives me nuts!
@stassischoreder, I completely get that - I always felt a little bit of 'mom guilt' dropping my DD off at daycare, but being a full time SAHM also seemed daunting to me. working from home has pretty much been the best balance for me, I think, but I do miss some of the office social life.
So, I just got back from my glucose screening and the results will take a day or 2 so they are going to call me when they come in. @emilylove25 They had me take it about 2 weeks earlier then normal and for some reason no one knows why. My nurse today informed me that even if I passed it this time I still have to do it again at my next appointment in 4 weeks which makes no sense. I don't see what the point was of me taking it early if I have to do it again anyway. The nurse even asked me why the OB had me take it early because nothing was noted in my file. I didn't find the drink itself that bad. I had the lemon lime flavor and it was just a really sweet version of sprite. It did give me a headache after drinking it but that was the worse of it. Just annoyed that I have to do this all over again in a few weeks.
@stacey6689 I've definitely had a few instances of not being satisfied with the food I thought I wanted, too. It's annoying!
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese YAY for baby girl 2.0! How are you and DD1 liking the autism therapies?
@miss.sally I hate s'mores poptarts in my cupboard right now I normally never have them around. Also, glad the pooping assist is working wonders
@varimama I don't consider myself a hoarder, and I'm usually pretty good at chucking stuff, but I also feel that it NEVER fails that once you throw something out (or give it away) you find a use for it the following week LOL. And yeah, luckily DS had an experience similar to your son. He was pretty unhappy in the beginning with a fever, but once the spots showed up he seemed to feel much better. THANK GOD neither DH nor myself got it. I've heard it can be so much worse for adults.
@keeksie84 TBH, after having been through one round of HFM, I don't think it's as big of a nightmare as I had anticipated. DS had a relatively severe case of it, but once the fever was gone (which was the first couple days), he really didn't seemed bothered. I'm very lucky that my position is REALLY flexible, so it wouldn't be a problem to go down to 4 days/week. If I'm being honest, my days with DS are more work than my days at my actual job, and it will only get harder once DD is here, so it's an effort to have more influence in their lives and spend more time with them. Also, I've been craving root beer too LOL. And, DS's language is on the low end of normal for his age, but like your daughter, he's been improving lately I was calling someone in the car with him yesterday (on the hands free) and when it was ringing I swear he said "HELLO!" lol
@EmilyLove25 good for you going for a run! I feel like death after walking a mile or so LOL
@stacey6689 We also need to clear out our third bedroom. It was our biggest storage closet, so some of that will have to stay, but I also need to toss a lot. We'll no longer have a guest bedroom, which I'm somewhat excited about. Ha!
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese Glad to hear about the good news with the A/S! Hope DD1 is doing better!
@lizp1229 The glucose test wasn't a big deal to me. The drink was fine. The worst part for me in the blood draw since I usually take several pokes. I failed the first time around and then passed the three hour, which I'm hoping is not the case this time around, just because it takes so damn long.
@miss.sally I haven't had the best luck with maternity jeans yet. I have 2 that I wear, but don't really love. Also, glad you're clearing out. Ha!
@varimama I've been checking out Christmas PJs for DS, but that's as far as I've gotten. But it's never too early for cookies!
@EmilyLove25 Our winter started on Halloween too. And I'm pretty sure my soul sister when it comes to politics!
@treetop19 I also feel like the holidays tend to fly by, so it'll be interesting awaiting a LO shortly after!
Cravings/Aversions: Lately I've wanted slightly spicy... like buffalo chicken or banana peppers.
Upcoming appts: Regular checkup on Friday, then another U/S with MFM in two weeks.
Rants/Raves: Rant: Election day is busy in the news business! It also makes the rest of the week go by so slowly! Rave: DH and I are going to see The Lion King broadway show on Friday, and I can't wait! It's been almost 20 years since I saw it as a kid. Then I'm going to a drag show/brunch Sunday for my mom's birthday. Sad I'll have to skip the mimosas, but it should still be fun!
Questions: Nope!
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Always! Primaries as well! I think it's super important, and I hope to raise my sons to realize its importance as well.
@varimama@keeksie84@EmilyLove25@mrsvp614 Thanks ladies! I feel better about the test now. Since I'm a FTM, I'm just nervous about all these new experiences and don't know what to expect, but it sounds like I don't need to be so nervous about this test.
@keeksie84@stassischroeder They're going well.. I think some days are harder for her than others. She doesn't really do well with adult-guided activity, and everything is designed to push her boundaries. So right now, it's day-to-day on how well it goes. We're currently in speech, PT, OT, developmental education, and still seeing her teacher for the visually impaired. She's on the waitlist still for ABA.
Rants/Raves: DH's company is being a pain about his vacation still. He's been basically 'banned' from taking it all year and now it is all the way to the end of the year and possibly into next year. I was hoping to get him home for a couple of weeks around Christmas so we can prep for baby. I'm very unhappy about this.
My OB cleared up a ton of things to do with the mfm office and everything is fine there. I love my doctor. I've been having asthma symptoms for the last couple of weeks and now I've been given an inhaler for pregnancy induced asthma. I had no idea this was a thing.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yes, but we don't have many primaries and our local elections are almost always uncontested.
@miss.sally I've been keeping a box of them in my house this pregnancy.
@varimama I too, am shocked at the way this year as flown by. We're setting up Christmas early this year and replacing a lot of our decorations. We got a new tree and I'm really excited about it.
@stacey6689 That is so weird that you did the glucose test early and you have to do it again later. Why wouldn't they just have had you wait?! I'd be so confused and marginally irritated (especially if the drink gave me a headache and I had to go through it all again soon). Bummer! But I hope your results come back great!!
@stassischroeder Yay Team Pink! I am craving sweets galore, too. My next appointment is on the 22nd, too, and my doctor is going to be less than thrilled when I weigh in........ ruh-roh!
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese Yay for Team Pink!! Omg the size of a weasel! So cute! I wish I was craving veggies instead of chocolate, lol. I'm so happy for your wonderful anatomy scan.
@lizp1229 Yay for feeling movement! That is SO exciting! I felt movement for the first time yesterday. I was at work and felt a kick and looked down at my tummy and was going to touch it when I felt another kick, and I freaking saw my stomach move. It was surreal. I had been waiting for it, too. My anterior placenta had me all worried that it was going to take a lot more time before I felt anything. No consistent movement yet for me, but that first kick was literally everything to me.
@miss.sally A liter of whiskey, eh? I love it. Lol! Omg now I *need* a smores PopTart. I'm a bit nervous for my glucose test later this month, too. FX yours goes smoothly! Also, holy crap (literally)!! That's a lot of sh*t! Do you feel lighter?! Lol! I don't have any maternity jeggings, but I did get some maternity skinny jeans from Old Navy and they're fantastic! I'm going to order a second pair in a different color soon.
@varimama Oh our Halloween candy is gone already It's for the best, though. I think I gained like 10 lbs since my anatomy scan two weeks ago, lol. Matching jammies - so cute! One of my best friends always does matching jammies and has a holiday photoshoot with her family, and it's always the cutest. My boyfriend would never! Lol! Oh, and I'm awful about hoarding things too. I've been trying my best to part with things that I thought I'd have forever, but it's sooooooo hard. I realize the baby needs space, but it's my natural tendency to hoard items I have sentimental attachment to, so it's been rough.
@keeksie84 That's so great that your daughter's language has been expanding so much! So sweet!! And I'm totally with you on craving all the sweet things. I think my craving for chocolate and desserts has finally surpassed my cravings for cheesy stuff, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. LOL
@EmilyLove25 WTF is a least weasel?! I'm jealous that you're craving healthy foods, although I've actually been craving apples with peanut butter a lot lately so maybe I should incorporate that into my diet to replace all the chocolate I've been ravenously devouring lately. I'm also displeased with winter being among us. I miss Fall. I feel like we skipped it entirely this year.
@treetop19 That's great that your anatomy scan went so well and your doctor is saying things are looking great. I wonder if they'll eventually get you in for a follow-up anatomy scan. For my anatomy scan two weeks ago, they were able to get all but ONE measurement so they're doing a follow-up ultrasound on the 22nd of this month (along with the glucose test, ugh). I'm surprised they didn't just schedule another ultrasound for you when you made your next appointment, but I guess every place is different. I wouldn't worry!
@mrsvp614 I've been craving some spicy stuff too, randomly, and mushrooms -- both of which I'm not a huge fan of. They're my partner's favorite foods, though, so I guess it makes sense. Lol. Have sooo much fun at The Lion King! I saw it the broadway show a few years back and it was AMAZING!!
@aerie_star ugh, I'm sorry your husband's work is being so difficult about his vacation time. Lame!!!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team PINK! It feels so nice finally knowing for sure, lol.
Baby is the size of a(n): Endive or a papaya, apparently! On the non-fruit list, smaller than a litre of whiskey but bigger than a bottle of Jagermeister.
Cravings/Aversions: I'm craving sweets more and more everyday. I saw a recipe for pumpkin spice glazed donuts and I've been daydreaming about them for three days now. I'm going to have to buy ingredients and make a batch soon! As always, I'm still craving cheese a lot and Arby's roast beef sandwiches. And a new craving - mushrooms!
Upcoming appts: November 22 for the glucose test and a routine check up with a bonus ultrasound for the anatomy scan measurements they weren't able to get two weeks ago. I'm not excited about the drink (although I've heard you ladies say it's not that bad) and I'm definitely not excited about getting my blood drawn because it takes them so many tries and it freaking hurts!
Rants/Raves: RAVE! I FINALLY FELT THE BABY KICK YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME! Sorry for the caps, but I get so excited when I think about it. It was a sharp jab, and I looked down immediately and went to touch my belly when she kicked a second time. It was the most amazing feeling, and I'm so relieved to have finally felt her. But now I'm paranoid I'll never feel her again, lol. It's always something to worry about in my head, apparently.
Rant: my partner and I have our first prenatal class tonight (The Miracle of Birth) but I do not feel well today at all and I'm dreading spending 2 hours in an interactive classroom. I just want to sit and listen and not have to participate, honestly. I'm excited for the information but I just feel like death today so I cannot get psyched.
Questions: None right now that I can think of. I always think of a question I want to run past you guys when it's late at night and I'm alone on the couch, but by the time I'm on the board, I never can remember.
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I really try to! I vote in every major election, and I try my hardest to vote in the primaries when I can. I understand how important it is.
Upcoming appts: OB and MFM checkups around Thanksgiving.
Rants/Raves: Today's echo went very well, the cardiologist was kind of confused as to why he was called in to look at this perfectly healthy baby. Olaf was quite cooperative and we got lots of good pictures of her heart. Oh and we got her spine and kidneys, which were missed on the anatomy scan due to poor positioning.
I also asked the OB if it's true that I should only sleep on my left side, and she said that this was a thing that What To Expect When You're Expecting picked up from a single study, and I can sleep however I'm comfortable, even on my back as long as my diaphragm isn't crushed. This is good news because no matter how used to side sleeping I am by now, I always end up on my back or right side instead.
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yes. Voting is a harm reduction technique. Even if you don't like either candidate, there is such a thing as the lesser of twoevils.
@Malidocious so excited for you as well!! I was told that I have an anterior placenta as well so I was not expecting to feel anything for a while. But my Dr did let me know that the placenta can move. I haven't been feeling movement as often as I'd like to either, but at least everyday I feel a little something. DH is waiting to catch it himself. Everytime I tell him that the baby is moving, he puts his hand on my belly to try and catch it but then the baby stops moving lol
I know in the coming weeks as the baby gets bigger he'll get his chance to feel and see the movement. This is all so exciting for us, it makes me anticipate meeting our baby even more
Re: Group 2 check-in (3/9-3/16) w/o 11/4
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team Pink
Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut

EDD/W+D: 03/11/20 21+5
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Blue
Yes, yes and yes
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Blue!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: blue 💙
Baby is the size of a(n): coconut 🥥

@stassischroeder hope your DS is feeling better from the HFM, that is no fun. For us DS was really fussy for 3ish days then once the spots started showing up he seemed totally fine. DH on the other hand moaned and groaned about his spots, I was lucky and didn’t get it.
@lizp1229 I didn’t think the glucose drink was bad at all last time. Mine was orange which I’m not a fan of but I didn’t even think it was overly sweet. A little more sweet than a typical soda.

Sure do!
EDD/W+D: March 12, 21 weeks + 5 days (!!!)
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team GREEN!
Baby is the size of a(n): Least Weasel (huh?) or bok choy!
Cravings/Aversions: I’m craving “healthy” food, but my body isn’t sure what that is right now… more fruits and veggies? Protein?
Upcoming appts: I go this Thursday morning for a routine appointment
Rants/Raves: Rant: Winter is basically starting on Thursday night, and I’m bummed about it. What happened to fall? Rave: I made myself go for a 4 mile run right after work yesterday. Genius.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? I vote and voted this AM! I vote every year and in the primaries as I'm a registered Democrat, 100% for sure liberal. UO I have lots of opinions about people who don’t vote.

@stacey6689 Despite this being baby number 3, I always forget when they do the glucose test… but they are making you do it early, right?
@stassischroeder So glad to hear DS is better. I hate HFM! I also feel you 100% on the other people raising our kids thing. I think working 4 days a week would be AMAZING. I wish I could get that kind of arrangement at work so badly.
@lizp1229 Yay for movement! Honestly, the glucose test is fine. Is it something I would do for fun? No. But it’s short, it isn’t that much that you drink… really NBD.
@miss.sally I think I am going to try some Metamucil or something tonight. I’m not worried about weight gain, but I feel clogged up… three pounds lol lol
@varimama Lol to being a hoarder. You MIGHT need that solitary bar stool haha.
@keeksie84 I can’t remember how old your DD is… but she sounds like she’s in the same phase as DS, who is going to be 23 months on the 26th. Please stop throwing things in my face haha.

Baby is the size of a(n):
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese YAY for baby girl 2.0! How are you and DD1 liking the autism therapies?
@miss.sally I hate s'mores poptarts in my cupboard right now
@varimama I don't consider myself a hoarder, and I'm usually pretty good at chucking stuff, but I also feel that it NEVER fails that once you throw something out (or give it away) you find a use for it the following week LOL.
And, DS's language is on the low end of normal for his age, but like your daughter, he's been improving lately
@EmilyLove25 good for you going for a run! I feel like death after walking a mile or so LOL

@stassischroeder Glad to hear DS is better!

Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut/corn on the cob

They're going well..
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): endive
Cravings/Aversions: nothing
Upcoming appts: Dec 3rd - sugar test
@varimama I too, am shocked at the way this year as flown by. We're setting up Christmas early this year and replacing a lot of our decorations. We got a new tree and I'm really excited about it.

@stassischroeder Yay Team Pink!
@varimama Oh our Halloween candy is gone already
@keeksie84 That's so great that your daughter's language has been expanding so much!
@EmilyLove25 WTF is a least weasel?!
@treetop19 That's great that your anatomy scan went so well and your doctor is saying things are looking great.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: PINK!!!
Baby is the size of a(n): Endive
Upcoming appts: OB and MFM checkups around Thanksgiving.
GTKY: Do you vote? Every year? In primaries too? Yes. Voting is a harm reduction technique. Even if you don't like either candidate, there is such a thing as the lesser of two evils.
I know in the coming weeks as the baby gets bigger he'll get his chance to feel and see the movement. This is all so exciting for us, it makes me anticipate meeting our baby even more
