Re: November Symptoms

  • PRESSURE. lots of PRESSURE. especially from sitting to standing. I also swear it feels like this lower baby is taking her toes and clenching my vagina. hopefully she's having a good time in there and growing big and strong. I also experienced my first BH last night- let the 3rd trimester fun begin!

  • Between the cold weather and baby, I...am...STARVING. I don't have central heat, and my house is chilly right now.
  • I don't know if anyone else is struggling with this but by the end of the day anything around my belly feel's so tight and hurts. DD was a summer baby and i just wore loose maxi dresses. Now it's pretty much going to be snowing here on the weekend and I'm wearing my leggings (either over belly or under belly both uncomfortable), an undershirt and a sweater or something over. Soon as I get home I'm in the baggiest sweater and belly is just loose and free hahaha
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k, I bought targets full panel maternity pants in a size big. That's helped tremendously  They're never tight around my bump, and the extra room in the leg helps at the end of the week when I'm retaining a bit of water.
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k I’m having the same issue! After ds goes to bed I’m usually on the couch with my pants rolled down and my shirt up because I can’t handle anything touching my belly.
  • My hips are so effing sore & I feel so heavy! My bump is quite low & I really dont know
that I’ll last another 7 weeks!
  • @leprechaunlady my hips are so sore too!! both my hips and my inner thighs/groin area. I'm starting to feel heavy but at the same time, want these babies in there as long as possible. Hang in there =)
  • @c1kc1kpol1cn1k - I've outgrown many of my over-the-belly panels in skirts, shorts, and leggings. I'm having to size up on all of them.
  • Lots of hip pain and pelvis pressure. But recent ultrasounds (today and yesterday oooof) show baby is butt down and super low.  Also my belly button is really tender.
  • Tons of pain and pressure here too, especially in the evenings, and if I have walked a lot it's worse.  We did a Halloween hike on Tuesday and then 3.5 hrs of trick or treating in the rain on Thursday, and both of those nights I thought I would never get off the couch again.  I have been pretty good about walking a mile slowly on the treadmill most evenings, so I thought walks like this would be no big deal, but not true.  I definitely skip the treadmill on weeks like this.

All my babies have gone overdue, so even though everyone, including my midwife, comments on how low baby is, and I feel like he's about falling out already, I am trying to prepare myself for 13 more weeks of this..

  • @MollySm, I carried DS1 supper low and way out in front. It was hades on my lower back by the end. I'm so glad this one is higher, but he pushes on my diaphragm, making it hard to breathe.
  • All the heartburn. I was hoping it wouldn’t make a return this time around, but I was up last night thinking I was going to get sick from heartburn. I need to get medicine stronger than Tums. Zantac worked well for me last time but now it’s on the no go list 😭
I’m also pretty sure baby is laying sideways half the time because the side to side pressure is unreal. Someone needs to convince her she’s out of room that direction!
  • @FyreFlyeRush - We were just reminiscing yesterday about how my first was so high up I felt like my ribs were constantly bruised.   This one is so low - I can't tell which is better!

  • @MrsJessS I wouldn't worry about taking the Zantac on occasion. I would be concerned with long term exposure but not with occasional use and if it helps it is better than the damage caused by the heartburn. My gastro PA friend is taking it throughout her pregnancy.
  • @biolprof good to know! I caved and took one last night and it helped so much! I might try something else on the approved list, but since this is what I have at the moment I’m just going with it
  • I'm also finding it really hard to breathe. I will be comfy but all of a sudden out of breath, dizzy and can't talk. (Usually when I'm seated or laying down)
  • @MrsJessS My OB prescribed me Pepcid AC (famotidine is the generic) for the heartburn.  Some days I have to take is twice a day plus tums to deal with all the heartburn I've been having this pregnancy.  It's so much worse than what I had when pregnant with my daughter.  😫  I've also had to really cut some things from my diet to help with the heartburn - no red sauce, no Chinese food, certain flavors of yogurt had to be cut, I can't really drink pop, and honestly I should remove coffee but I can't bear the thought!
  • We had indian food last night for dinner - absolutely not worth it. I threw up before bed & its now 3:30am & ive been awake throwing up for the past half hour & still have really bad hearburn 😭

  • @leprechaunlady that sounds so terrible. Keep up the fluids! Go in if it gets bad!
  • @valerie4786 that’s how I was with DS except it didn’t matter what I ate. I got heartburn from water half the time. It was terrible. This time is a lot more manageable but I’m still trying to figure out what sets it off. Had Mexican food twice yesterday and was totally fine 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @biolprof felling much better this morning thankfully but man was that a rough 30 mins last night!
  • So last night was interesting. Threw up in my mouth while sleeping (so gross, sorry!) then choked/aspirated on it and spend the next 30 minutes coughing and sputtering. When I finally laid down again the reflux was soooo bad I almost wanted to make myself throw up to feel better. I had a glass of lemonade before bed and pretty sure that’s what did it. Note to self: lemonade is a poor choice.
  • @DalexRN that happened to me last week too except I decided a scoop of ice cream before bed was a good idea. Never again.
  • Oh, no, @DalexRN

  • @DalexRN That sounds so rough!!!!!!
  • I am exhausted! Sitting at work and can barely keep my eye's open, daylight savings is not agreeing with me
  • I had the worst charlie horse in the middle of the night last night, and a stiff neck this morning.  My body is falling apart 😢

  • And I just got out of the shower and have a rash on my belly! What is going on?!  Has anyone else had one?  It's not itchy.

  • @MollySm maybe just try if you had a hot shower? put a lot of oil on and see
  • @MollySm I feel ya! No idea on the rash though. That's kind of weird but probably just heat rash?
  • @MollySm I've gotten heat rash before. If it disappears quickly after you're out of the heat, then it's likely that.
  • It's been an hour and is still there, but doesn't itch and hasn't spread, so I am just going to keep an eye on it.

  • Today has been the first day I felt super tired since the first trimester. I may have taken an hour nap at my desk today.

    PG #3: EDD 12/15/23
  • I feel so stiff. Like if my joints started creeking, I would not be surprised. Also, baby brain is strong with this one. Today, I stood at the exit of the school for a few minutes, because I couldn't remember where I parked. I ended up walking the wrong way once I thought I figured it out. My coworker watched it all unfold. She thought it was pretty funny.
  • I was awake from 5am & around 10 past 6 I got the worst cramps in my right leg. Unlike anything ive ever felt! I was moaning and groaning & woke dh up & he panicked that I was in labour! 😂😬
  • The last two days I've started feeling sick at the exact same time of day. I feel hot, then cold, then my stomach hurts and baby goes nuts with movement. It passes after about 30 minutes. I'm starting to think I need to change up my eating schedule. Anyone else having random issues like this?
  • Sleep and I have become mortal enemies. I'm exhausted, but can't get comfortable...then, when I finally do fall asleep, I pop awake and can't go BACK to sleep. Seriously, I'm not even 29w yet. I don't recall this happening in previous pregnancies until about 32w. Plus, little man better flip to head down soon, because there really isn't room for his dancing down there anymore. It HURTS.

My shoulders and neck are so stiff and I sound like a bowl of rice crispies in the morning when I get up. I've been getting nauseous again, too, usually before hunger sets in...But, I can only eat TINY amounts of food. Like last night, it was a tablespoon of mashed potatoes, a tablespoon of mac and cheese, and 1/2 a chicken thigh and I was STUFFED.  I'm trying to eat more often, but it's all so bleh.

Then come these rando bursts of energy and I'm like...MAN! I could walk 5 miles! This is GREAT!!! It's like a bipolar energy pregnancy...matches the bipolar weather outside, I guess....
  • @persnickity - Maybe sugar crash?? I have to eat at regular intervals to keep my sugar up.
  • @marebear15 I'm starting to wonder that. I thought I might be getting sick, and then when it happened at the same time today, I was wondering if it was food related.
  • @leprechaunlady was it a charley horse? I have been getting them a lot more frequently lately. I woke DH up with one the other week as well! I cried out in pain and he had no idea what was going on.
