Hi gals, i have been lurking....but wanted.to say hi.
A little about me, this is my 2nd IVF cycle. Hate, hate getting shots but we do what we can. I cannot believe some people get IVf help with insurance...that sounds wonderful. I wish we had some... 
I just had ER yesterday. They got 8 eggs, 6 matured & only 1 fertilized. They said they will tramsfer on day 3...i dont know how i feel about that...isnt it better to wait it out until day 5 when they get to the blast stage?
I think they are.rushing it. Anyone have experience with day 3 transfer?

Hi @smittenkitten123 - Unfortunately, for every article/study that says to transfer on day 5, you'll find one that says transferring on day 3 is better or equal to transferring on Day 5. They may be thinking it's better to transfer early because you only had one that fertilized out of six and have some concerns about the one making it to Day 5. I've read that when there's so few, transferring at Day 3 seems to be the approach most clinics take. Apparently only 25-40% of embryos make it to blast. But that is just an average and everyone is different. I do know several ppl on the board that transferred on Day 3 and became pregnant. Lastly, your lining and progesterone level also play a significant role on the success of the transfer.
And I'm with you, I WISH my insurance covered any part of this process. Good luck with your transfer! FX for you!

OK, yall, I am going to share my two Wondfo's from yesterday afternoon (top) and this morning (SMU). I know you are not supposed to read them after the timeframe but they were still very wet this morning when I left (10 minutes after taking it) but when I got home, I looked again and I SWEAR I see something. Do Wondfo cheapies get evaps like some other tests? I was planning on testing again Friday morning, so hopefully if this is the start of something than my FRER will show something good Friday morning!!! Let me know what you think...same two tests, but first picture is them on my granite counter, second on my FRER pink box. lol...Same

I think I see a line in the second one in both pictures; just faint. I think wondfo's are 25+ hcg? That can easily turn into 100+ at the 10-11 day mark. I think you will know more the next time you test!

Also evap lines look more gray than pink and I definitely see pink in the faint line.

Here is the FRER this morning. Can't tell if it is an evap or a VVFP. Frustrated. I am worried that it is a chemical or that these tests are playing tricks on me!!! I am going to go buy more this morning so that I can take anotehr one in the morning. All I have left are blue dye ones and cheapies (and a FRER digital which I am NOT going to take until the day of my BETA - if I continue to get darker tests).

did they transfer morulas or blasts? it could just be a later implanter. I definitely see a line though. my clinic says they consider anything over 30 on day 9 or 10 of a 5 day transfer a positive.

@mbradfo2 - THANKS!!! :-) they were EARLY blasts. One was a tad farther along than the other (more defined) but certainly not fully expanded. the other one was barely out of the morula stage which gives me hope that they are just late implanters (or at least one of them). I'll post again tomorrow with an update!!

Check it out!! 1pm took another Wondfo cheapie...I think I am feeling more realistic about this!!! The test hadn't even dried yet. This was around 5-8 minutes after I took the test (and then I taped it to the group). Unedited pics... THANK YOU GOD!! Please keep growing my little Embaby!! :-)

Thanks so much @31magnolia!! I need all the positive thoughts I can get!! Here are the FRER comparisons from this morning. It isn't as dark as I was hoping it would be, still praying its just a late implanter and a pokey grower!! My cheapies haven't really gotten darker which worries me, but the FRER this morning seems to be a bit darker/more obvious....still light in my opinion compared to what I see everyone else get by this time...One day at a time!!! Thank you God!

Just got call that my embryo didn’t make it to blast. It was still at moroula yesterday. Was hoping it would make it today. I’m sad but will try again. Have my follow up with the doctor Tuesday.

ok, Im feeling a little freaked out. I don't think the lines are progressing like they should. Here is this morning's FRER at 10dp5dt. My first HINT of a positive on FRER was 8dp5dt and on my Wondfo at 7dp5dt (they supposedly measure 10miu of HCG). So I am guessing I am somewhere around 20 HCG right now? Doesn't that seem awfully low? I know implantation can happen a little later than 1-2 days, but this would mean that it didn't happen until like the 4th or 5th day to get +'s at 7-8dp5dt. 

I have my beta on Monday but of course torturing myself until then. I am going to buy a few more FRER and test this afternoon and then again tomorrow. I seem to get darker results midday for some reason (at least that is how my Wondfo's react so I will test the theory on my FRER's).

Levels came in at 11.9 this morning. ugh, positive but the very low side. I asked if anyone has started this low and been ok and she said absolutely. Nice of her to say, but I am a realist...I guess there is always a chance, but 11.9...geez. 

She said I'm not out yet, but that is why I haven't been getting darker lines. Can't imagine that I have been able to get + tests for 5 days and only have an 11.9 right now...but, I will keep the faith and just pray for the best. With my test this morning looking a bit lighter in my opinion (or exactly the same as yesterday morning), I am fearful my HCG already started dropping...but we will see on Wednesday.

@ladyp0tter I can definitely see the lines progressing, that's so exciting! Hopefully they continue to grow! :-D

Surgery to have polyps removed on the 26th went well, and they were benign. Started the estrace on the 30th, and go in on the 11th to have my lining checked to make sure we are on track for our 12/19 transfer. I start the progesterone in oil on the 14th, and the endometrin on the 19th. 

to all lurkers, welcome! this is such a great place to talk to people going through the same thing as you. As much as others try, they just can't really know unless they have gone through it. :-)

@ladyp0tter - you're not out of the game yet. My bestie actually kept getting negative HPT when she finially went to the doctor to start her next steps towards having a baby she found out she was pregnant. So yes, your levels can be that low. Still sending you positive thoughts and keeping my fingers crossed!

@ladythor31 - Thanks you. And great news about the polyps! Good luck with your transfer. 12/19 will be here before you know it.

My line was nearly invisible today. So it looks like a chemical as expected. final BETA tomorrow morning and I fully expect a 0 based on the nearly invisible line this morning. Likely an abnormal embryo that tried to implant and couldn't get very far. My last shot at this point is waiting on the PGS results of the 1 frozen day 6. Hopefully, I will know by Friday (they are running behind thanks to the holiday). Depending on the outcome of that, my DH and I have discussed potentially transferring even if it is abnormal and going back to the other 5 that are frozen and grabbing the best to "looking" embryo's (#1 & #2) and using those as well even though they are abnormal too (IF my dr. will do those - which he did let me last time after talking to the counselor).

@ladyp0tter I am sorry to hear your line is going away, but hopefully it's not as bad as you're expecting it to be. and I am still crossing my fingers for you on the PGS results. so much waiting in this process and it can drive you crazy.

Hello ladies!  I had to take a mental break from IVF after my latest disappointment but I’m back now.  They switched my protocol this time, so hopefully this does the trick.   I’m starting stim meds today and my next ER is likely Dec 16th.  I’m squeezing it in before the holidays. LOL.
@31magnolia - congrats on your golden egg!  FX it continues to grow!

@ladyp0tter - I’m praying you get a normal from your PGS test. I think it’s a smart back-up plan to try and implant the better looking ‘abnormals’.  I’m considering that option too (or not testing at all).

Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the support through this process.  It’s nice to be able to communicate with people who have been through similar experiences.  I appreciate your advice and encouragement!

My levels were 4.41 yesterday so definitely a chemical. The bad news keeps rolling in. Later in the afternoon they called to tell me my last embryo is an abnormal boy. Monosomy 11. Weird that the boy I used in my first round was a Trisomy 11. My husband and I are willing to try it along with maybe one or two of the other abnormals from my first batch (if my RE will allow it). I will not be going through any more ER's though, so this is it. Either a miracle happens and the PGS results are wrong or inconclusive or God's plan is not to give my DH and I a child together. Either way, I will be ok...sad, but at least we can say we tried and then focus our life on us.

Hoping for more good news from the rest of you!! 

Good luck @late_bloomer!! Hope this cycle works for you. I totally understand needing the mental break. We are even debating waiting a few months to do the last transfer (if we even go through with it).

@late_bloomer - welcome back. i definitely understand the need for mental breaks! Thank you for the prayers. We have a game plan for the next round (in January), which will hopefully give me better results. My embryos don't seem to make it past Morula, so we'll be doing a day 3 fresh transfer next time.

That’s hard to realize and come to terms with. But I, like the rest of you, continue on with a hopeful and prayerful heart until I decide to end this journey and begin a new one. @ladyp0tter - did you hear from RE? Will he allow the transfer?

Hi @31magnolia - yes he will. He would do up to the 3 abnormals that I want. HIS percentage that it would work would be like 4% chance. He said he has had one other woman twice get pregnant with abnormals only to lose them both times around 7wks.

He does not recommend further retrievals (as suspected). He WOULD, but doesn't expect any better results with altered protocols. I am loosely considering donor egg at this time. Trying to nail down total costs. 

Depending on the donor route, we will decide which way to go (last hurrah with my 3 bad eggs or new route with donor). I don't want to spend $4k right now on a transfer of 3 abnormals if we can put that money toward donor (if that is the way we plan on going). I hope to know more by the end of this week.

@31magnolia this is such a tough journey, and one that I do not wish on anyone. But at least we can all go through it together. Being able to talk to others with the same problems has helped so much, though I do feel sad for anyone having to go this route. 

@ladyp0tter that is a tough choice to make for sure, especially when you are given such low odds of it working. But the plus side is at least you know you can carry babies, so if you can get donor eggs, your odds are great! Not that that makes things any easier, I know.
