Boobs!

Ok ladies, I’m 8 weeks 5 days and as much as my husband now loves my gigantic boobs (they are huge to me!) I’ve gone from a D to a DD already! By the time I’m done I’ll probably have E boobs!!  And that was my complaining for the day.

How have you ladies been so far in the boob department?

Re: Boobs!

  • This would be a great thing to put in the October Symptoms Thread.

But to answer your question, mine have not grown at all and I don't anticipate them growing. They didn't last pregnancy and I found out the hard way last time that no breast growth can be a sign that breastfeeding may not work. In my case it was a sign of IGT and I am lucky enough to get virtually no milk production.

  • Mine are ridiculous. I've had major weight loss the last 2 years and got them down from a 40N to a 32J (which still looked funny and huge on my new smaller frame). My band size is the same but I'm already busting out of a K. Bras are too expensive to experiment with, and it's slim pickings in my size, so I'm holding off for a few months and making do with what I have. They don't even produce any milk, so they grow just for shits & giggles. So much fun. WTG, girls.
  • I’m 11 weeks, 4 days and normally wear a 46DD. I’m actually surprised that my girls are growing very slowly. I haven’t changed my bra size yet but they are heavier. Lately, my nipples have been super sensitive (can’t lie on my stomach). I’m thinking they’ll start growing soon.

In my last appointment, my midwife suggested waiting until 32+ weeks to buy a nursing bra. She said that the breast develop and change a lot in the last few weeks (something to look forward to).

  • I'm about 10 weeks and I had to get a new bra a few weeks ago. I went with a stretchy sports bra so it will grow with me a bit but it isn't the most flattering in most of my cloths. I had a hard time finding a bra that fit before pregnancy. Bra shopping was something I avoided, it's even worse now.
  • @drkoyya With my first I only went from a C to a D. My band size went from 38 to 42. This pregnancy the girls feel full but I haven't needed to go up a cup size. My nipples have been super sensitive for weeks. I agree with your doctor about waiting. I jumped the gun and then had bras that didn't fit.
  • @jess09lynn I totally understand the uni-boob that sports bras make.  It’s horrible, straight up.   I stopped giving a damn, I have nobody to impress on a daily basis.  My husband just tells me to take my bras off because he can see the discomfort they cause.

  • I’m 10.5 weeks and started wearing my old nursing bras again. Bands getting too tight on my other ones. Honestly I only had worn my regular bras again for a few months and they just didn’t fit that well, since I think some of the size change is permanent. After this pregnancy, I would like to treat myself to some new bras that really fit!
