I usually either want a sandwich, salad, fruit, cucumber with lemon and tajin, pickles, or cheese. I can not stomach red meats right now and sometimes will be up for chicken. What I do find odd is I am a coffee lover but I can not even stand the smell or thought of drinking a cup. I always feel hungry but sometimes I struggle with finding something that sounds appetizing and usually when I eat I have to limit the amount because then I either feel nauseous or just have a gross feeling in my stomach that’s kind of tricky to explain. I miss my normal appetite, hoping it comes back soon!
@pb0801 I feel ya. I attempted to eat “real food” last night and tonight and instantly regretted my decisions, but it’s been 12 weeks of bland carbs and some fruit I just wanted something warm. Maybe next week 🤞🏼
I cannot find a straight answer about sour cream. I found a hidden valley ranch dip mix with no eggs and I’ve been dying to dip my cucumbers in something, but I’m worried about the sour cream. I’m lactose intolerant but I’ve found lactose free sour cream options. Anyone know?
@babyfoxden10 Are you asking if sour cream is pregnancy safe? You can eat anything dairy as long as it is pasteurized and isn't mold ripened (like blue cheese or brie).

@babyfoxden10 I'm confused on what you are asking too. Are you worried about eating that kind of dairy in pregnancy or are you worried more if it has lactose because you are intolerant? I'm not sure what you are saying about the no eggs thing too. Like @shamrocandroll said, you can eat dairy and most store bought items are pasteurized. As for substitutions you could use greek yogurt or coconut cream.
Not sure what the egg thing was about, but it made me think of what I made last night. I had BBQ shredded chicken, sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. I make my own mayo (which includes a raw egg, typically all real mayo has egg in it) and mix it up with a bag of raw coleslaw and some apple cider vinegar and seasonings. I also added sour cream to the boiled potatoes when I was mashing them.
I had a breakfast taco this morning with tomato and sausage and hashbrowns. It was exactly what I needed to get going this morning. Friday ladies! I need this weekend.
@babyfoxden10 Also, eggs are totally safe as long as they are cooked or pasteurized. So like, even though mayo has egg in it, the store bought kind is safe because they either cook or pasteurize it to make it shelf-safe.

Flaming hot cheetos and hot and spicy chicken ramen noodles. Apparently this baby thinks I’m a 20 yr old college student again. I balanced it out with some grapes though. Why can’t I crave healthy food?
@shamrocandroll SAME! It's pizza night for us too, and the thought is just not at all exciting to me. Aversions to pizza are so sad.
@stella_700 I figure nachos have dairy, protein, fiber, and healthy fat (avocado). Everything I need on one plate! We just won't talk about the chips...😂
I was obsessed with chips last week - I'm not even a chips person really otherwise, but last week, I was just like "yes, cheetos, yes sour cream and onion ruffles." This week I'm obsessed with croissants and cream cheese. Also wish I was craving healthier food. But the fridge is so smelly to me right now, I'm just trying to get in and out of there asap before I gag.
I was worried about the eggs in the regular ranch dressing so I bought a ranch mix. I was supposed to mix it with sour cream, but then I got nervous about eating sour cream. I found a lactose free sour cream, which has the same ingredients as regular minus the enzyme I can’t process. Sorry if my post was super confusing I feel like I’ve been writing is a weird stream of consciousness lately!
@babyfoxden10 You can mix the ranch mix in plain Greek yogurt. I do that a lot because it’s a healthier alternative to full fat sour cream. Silk almond milk makes a “greek” yogurt that is dairy free.
I had to go dairy free with DS1 and DS2 while BF due to milk protein intolerance and learned a lot about almond milk and alternatives during that time.
@rox7777 thanks for the info! Ever since I found out I was lactose intolerant it has been so challenging to find alternatives sometimes. I’m happy to see how companies are now making these products. I will be enjoying my cucumbers in ranch after all ☺️
Had taco soup for dinner. With cheese, sour cream, avocado, and crushed tortilla chips. Holy moly it tasted good. I may pay in a bit of heartburn tonight but not sorry I ate it.
I’ve been dying for Taco Bell for weeks. I went today finally and...it wasn’t good at all. If I’d been at home I probably would have thrown up but I forced myself to keep it together because I was at the OB. I’ve also been crazy craving Arby’s, but now I’m afraid to be let down again.
@Austenista I kind of feel like that with all foods. Especially if I am super hungry before I eat, I eat too fast and then I feel lousy for a while...you can’t win

McDonald’s sweet tea and nuggets. Two things I normally avoid. 🙄 I barely manage one meal a day so I suck it up and go with nuggets because I know I can keep them down.
@rox7777 I NEEDED McDonald's nuggets so badly on Wednesday. My only regret was ordering a 10 piece instead of a 20 piece. I wish they wouldn't post the calories on the menu... 😆
@rox7777 I can't stop eating and I lost weight this week due to the wildfires/power outages. Two babies are making my metabolism go haywire. I should have gotten the 20 piece....
Someone posted a picture of themselves on IG with a Chipotle burrito last night and I thought about it from then until lunch time today until I finally went and got one. I already want another one. Probably going to order it and send Dh by tonight on his way home.
Reviving this because I dreamt of a fresh peach all night long and woke up really wanting a Peach that's two days shy of that juice-running-down-your-arm ripeness. I don't want canned or packed in juice/water. Since it's late November I don't think I'll find what I really want and looking for ways I can maybe get frozen peaches to somehow do the trick. Any ideas? Baked with a crunchy topping like oatmeal to eat with ice cream is all I could come up with.

We went to NYC to give a lecture and I made my co-worker walk 6 blocks to eat ramen for dinner before heading home...hit the spot!
