    Upcoming appointments:

    How are you feeling?
I’ve actually not felt terrible this weekend other than hurting my back. The meds have the nausea under control and that has been really nice.

    Raves/Rants:
    Not now.

    Questions:
    Nope.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat?
Right now I’m all about pumpkin pie and stuffing. We may be celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving today despite not being Canadian. 😂 My Canadian friends have been talking about Thanksgiving for the past week and I’ve had a craving. Lol. And also dumplings. Yum.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? My brother lived in China for 10yrs, his wife and kids are Chinese. We’ve done Hot Pot at a few holidays instead of traditional food. I LOVE hot pot. The food is great, but it’s also a great experience. It’s more of an event.
  • @smashley09 That sounds like a really fun way to do the holidays. I bet it's delicious, too!

    EDD: May 14th

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding Out

Baby is the size of a(n): Olives

Upcoming appointments: I graduated from my RE, so my first appt with my OB isnthis Thursday.

How are you feeling?  Morning sickness from which doesn't go away unless I eat all the carbs. I haven't have any vomiting, and I thought I was a magical unicorn who didn't have terrible nausea with twins. The  I realized my prescription folic acid also has B6 and B12. 🤦‍♀️

Raves/Rants: I dropped off a bunch of maternity dresses to be altered this weekend. I'm so excited to get them back but I'm super bummed to be uncomfortable all week.

    Questions:  Nope.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinner are big ones in my family. Give me all the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Baby is the size of a(n):
    Cherry

    Upcoming appointments:
    10/23

    How are you feeling?
Symptoms come and go. I'm still having a hard time with food, nothing sounds good! But I'm surviving.

    Raves/Rants:
I'm cold. Either it's the weather change or I'm coming down with something, but I am covered in goosebumps and cannot warm up!

    Questions:

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat?
I love the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls for dinner on thanksgiving and Christmas. I usually bring a pie and cookies to thanksgiving, and make cookies and candies on Christmas.
  • EDD:
    May 11

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green:
Finding out. Pretty sure I’m having to wait until 20w this time though because OB and I agreed it wasn’t necessary to do genetic testing.

Baby is the size of a(n):
    Strawberry or a kumquat

    Upcoming appointments:
    Oct 30th

    How are you feeling?
Nausea isn’t completely gone but it’s more manageable right now. I still gag at the smell of bread 😂 but I feel like I can see normalcy coming around the corner.

    Raves/Rants:
I’m just so grateful we had a good baby check on Friday and that my OB is so confident this is going to be a successful pregnancy. I’m also thankful that I really liked him. Changing doctors is nerve wracking for me and I left feeling like it was going to be just fine at this practice.

    Questions:
    Nope.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat?
I love to make cornbread dressing on thanksgiving. It’s like a meal all on its own.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Cherry

Upcoming appointments: October 29 for my 12 week appointment. It's 15 minutes only, I think she said they will try the doppler and if they cannot find the HB yet with that, they will pull the bedside ultrasound.

How are you feeling? Currently not great because I just did the glucose screening an hour and a half ago. I hate drinking that pure sugar. I ate a meat stick and cheese stick as soon as I was done and it was so good! Other than that I am feeling pretty good.

Raves/Rants: My house is a mess, DH has off the next two days so I am hopeful it will get picked up.

    Questions: None

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? Hmmm... I make some great guacamole, Mexican rice and tacos. I love eating all of those too.

  • @mdfarmchick I'm glad you seem to be feeling better.

@smashley09 That sounds like an amazing holiday tradition/meal. Now I want Chinese food.

@ruby696 Yay for graduating! I hope your appointment with the OB goes well.

@splashmountain I cannot warm up either! I think it is the weather here, it has dropped significantly recently and of course we are still doing fall outdoor activities.

@Austenista I'm glad you are liking your new OB so far.

Upcoming appointments: 10/22 I'll feel a lot better after hearing/seeing the heartbeat at this appointment

How are you feeling? tired and cranky.  I actually don't have any nausea this morning which makes me a little nervous.  Still itchy though of course

Raves/Rants: none of my jeans seem to fit anymore so it's getting close to time for maternity clothes.  My work pants and shorts are all still fine, but jeans are not working for me :(

    Questions: none

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? all the desserts lol I'm not a great cook, but I do love to bake :)

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): prune tomorrow, so I’ll say that

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow (Tuesday). First official prenatal appt. I got an ultrasound last time for pregnancy confirmation and they said they wouldn’t do it every time, but hope they will tomorrow since H will be there with me and wasn’t last visit.

How are you feeling? hating tomato sauce or really any flavored foods, which makes it tough even to feed DD. Gagging a lot and exhausted in the evenings. Feeling weird tugging / pain near my c-section scar.

Raves/Rants: Moving truck arrives on Wednesday and we still have a lot to pack. Feeling stressed. We can do cleanup over the following weekend, but it will be tough with the kiddo, so just hoping we can somehow make it all happen. There’s also basically no safe space for DD to play, so that’s hard given the holiday today.

Questions: Asked about c-section scar pain in the questions thread, but would welcome any thoughts/perspectives from those who are pregnant after c-section or have been in the past.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? Third or fourth on STUFFING. Love it love it. But also really enjoy a baked ham with applesauce...mmm.

Upcoming appointments: NIPT appt w/ geneticist on 10/25 and midwife appt on 10/30

How are you feeling? Tired and unfocused. Work is really hard today.

    Raves/Rants: None.

    Questions: None.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? I love making latkes for Chanukah - it’s hard work because we typically make 20 or so lbs of it for our annual Chanukah party, but so satisfying to see the many trays filled with them.

Baby is the size of a(n): olive

Upcoming appointments: 10/29; I had my first appointment on 10/1. The doc sent me to get a transvaginal ultrasound after that because he saw something "extra" in the ultrasound he did. I went and did that a week ago and they told me that I have a vanishing twin. I have to go back in sometime after my next appointment to see how that is progressing. It's difficult since this is my second pregnancy and my first one was a missed miscarriage earlier this year that I didn't find out until around 13 weeks. I'm thrilled that at of a week ago one of my little ones is doing ok-- such mixed feelings though to be told there was another one that is not ok.

How are you feeling? I was very tired and nauseous for the last several weeks. Also, I have been super hungry-- which is odd to feel when you also feel so terrible. I think it's easing up a bit which I hope is just me nearing the end of the first trimester.

Raves/Rants: Is it Christmas yet? I am ready for a break! I also love Christmas season so I am definitely one of those people waiting for Halloween to get over so I can start watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music. :hushed:

Questions: Sorry if my post seems a bit negative. I'm trying hard to stay positive but it is easy to get in my own head and worry about every cramp, a disappearing symptom, etc. after the mc earlier this year and now the vanishing twin. I just have this pit of my stomach feeling where I am waiting for something else to go wrong. I hope I am totally wrong though and everything is great.

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? I love baking so anything dessert-wise! My favorite dish at Thanksgiving though is the stuffing! Yummmmmm!

Extra PS: I really appreciate this board and hope to get to know some of you better as the months progress. My hubby and I haven't told anyone about this pregnancy. We made the 'mistake' of doing so last time around 11 weeks and then untelling was too rough. I'm on the fence about how long I will wait to tell now-- thinking Thanksgiving since I will be around 16-17 weeks then (seems safer?). But I do really appreciate having the chance to read your posts and get feedback here. I might not be the best at thumbing enough posts of responding but just wanted to let you all know that I'm here and listening! :)

Baby is the size of a(n):
    Strawberry

Upcoming appointments: November 1st & I cant wait to hear the heartbeat again

How are you feeling? Nauseous 24/7, tired, throwing up almost every morning.

    Raves/Rants:
I’m ready to be past 12 weeks. I feel like I have the flu but no end in sight.

Questions: give me your tips to get rid of the nausea please?!

GTKY: What’s your favorite holiday dish to make or eat? This is the second year I will be plant based so holidays are still a bit of an experiment. All I’ve been wanting lately are all forms of potatoes so I’ll say mashed potatoes 😀
  • @doctorcrime I don’t think you are negative. On my last BMB a friend had found out she was pregnant with twins and that she had a large SCH as well she ended up losing one of the twins, according to the doctor to either “vanishing twin” or the large SCH and a bit of a rocky time. I think all the feelings you have about the twin you lost are valid. Hugs. Praying that everything is smoother for you from here on out.

@hippiedippiemama you can take B6 and Unisom throughout the day to help. I think @m6agua has posted a few times on her specific routine to keep nausea at bay, or you can check with your doctor. Some people have luck with sea bands, preview pops or ginger tea. I’m sorry you are dealing with it. It is definitely not fun.
  • My midwife also recommended the B6 and half a doxylamine (brand name is unisom) tablet at bedtime to help keep the nausea away. It’s a sleeping pill so nighttime is ideal (though the midwife did say it’s not a great sleeping pill as that benefit wears off in about 2 weeks for most people).
