@chichiphin you know, now that I'm having baby #2, I really wish I'd initially sprung (or registered) for a really nice stroller that can convert from one to two kids. And I see $900-1500 strollers EVERYWHERE. They have great reviews, will get used a ton by you, and then usually have a great resale value. LSS: no shame!
@stassischroeder we live in a more urban area and do a lot of walking to restaurants etc so... to me a stroller is a HUGE deal. I think you're right - it's worth it.
@chichiphin I don’t think there’s anything wrong with registering for big items. We are registering for our double stroller this time simply for the completion discount, we’ll save over $100 by doing that. Unless you’ve got some really rich relatives or friends my guess is people will either go in together to get it or assume you‘ve put it on for the completion discount. So have no shame at all!
I told DH I wanted a wrap from his work cafeteria and I almost cried when he said oh we can just go to this nicer deli place instead. I mean he’s right it’s got better wraps but it’s not what I’m craving, I want the crappy cafeteria wrap 🤣

I side eye people who spend a fortune on super expensive boutique clothes and shoes for infants/toddlers. Chances are it’s going to get stained, ripped or shit on and it’ll most definitely get outgrown in the blink of an eye.
@mommytimesfour agreed. The one thing I'll spend a little more on are shoes for when they're first walking, because I want to make sure they have flexible soles. But then I'm still only spending $20-30 per pair.
@stassischroeder 100% agree about shoes. It is the one thing I always splurge on for my kids. Even my 9yo. Most Shoes are made horribly and people don’t even realize that they can cause a lifetime of bad backs/knees etc...
@kantobean have you tried just using the site through your browser on your phone. I can’t stand the app so that is what I do. I have issues once in a while but usually when I do it’s because everyone is having issues

Okay here's mine...our friends getting married later this month have OUTRAGEOUS things on their registry. Not... price-wise, but like... WHAT they are asking for is not, like, normal registry stuff?? I mean, I didn't really know what to register for, but I had looked at other people's registries and registered for cute home-sy stuff that we wanted/needed/mostly wanted? But they have... wait, I'm going to take screen shots. My confession is that I am HARDCORE judging them lol.
@kagesstarshroom I’m really confused. And also snort-laughing at their registry. How is that for real?! Did they accidentally link their shopping list instead of wedding registry?! Dying over here. Please get them the catnip toys. 😂
@kagesstarshroom@miss.sally OMG I am laughing out loud at that registry!! What the hell?!?! I'm surely not buying an adult SHOES that they register for!
I at first was thinking “uh oh, I hope stuff I registered for isn’t on her list.” But yea, def not. So weird. If the whole registry is that weird, I’d prob just give cash.
@kagesstarshroom oh my god! I’m laughing so hard at that right now!
@chichiphin I’ll be registering for the vista too, no shame here! A good stroller is worth it’s weight in gold
I also want to secretly register for a Snoo so my family and friends don’t judge me, hahaha! I’ll get it myself with a completion discount after my shower 😂 I’m all about splurging some places and saving in others! Like car seat standards are so high in North America you don’t really *have* to splurge for a car seat so I may get a more medium-priced one that fits into the vista with an adapter. Also not spending a fortune on a baby swing - getting one used on marketplace because why not?
@kagesstarshroom Thank you for sharing that registry...I love it! So bizarre and inappropriate!
The only things we really want to get for baby #2 are a Snoo and a double stroller. I don't think I'll have a shower, but I want to make a registry for the free welcome box, lol. I probably won't add either of those because it seems tacky , but I'm a little tempted to add a stroller because now amazon has a feature that people can donate money towards large items. I'm guessing at least a few friends and family might want to give us a gift for a second baby? I'm not sure how that works.
@dunder_mifflin Snoos go on sale for 20% off a few times a year (maybe they will for veterans day or Black Friday). If you know anyone in the military, they offer a 40% military discount.
@keeksie84@dunder_mifflin@lemonlove86@silverhope@miss.sally Thanks for making me feel like my judging was appropriate lol. I was scrolling and I kept being like WHAT!!! And DH and our roommate were like "you're so mean" and I was like "but you don't understand!" and they were like "so what" haha. So I needed that. omg the lapel pin... WHAT.
@kagesstarshroom that registry is hilarious! Wow. I’ve seen some crazy ones, but this one is definitely weird. And the things aren’t like super expensive or extravagant, so I guess that’s good, but just....so random. Cat toys? Lol
@varimama either way it’s just super slow. I click on a thread and it takes like 3-5 minutes just to load. But I’ll stick with the browser version for a while and see if it improves.
@kagesstarshroom please but her the weirdest thing on the registry and tell us what you bought! Also, please tell your husband and roommate that they are borderline idiots for not recognizing how weird that is. Kidding....sort of.

@kantobean I support your cookie-eating. Also, TB works FINE at school for me but like, not at my house?
@chichiphin lol go for ittt.
