Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out, not telling yet.

Baby is the size of a(n): Magic 8 Ball

Upcoming appts: Not this Friday but next.

How are you feeling?: Still terrible, on and off--but when it's on, feels like I've felt like this and will feel like this forever. Super smell is still present but not AS strong, which I am hoping is a good sign that the days of bad nausea and bad heartburn and constant burping are coming to an end? Aren't we supposed to enjoy second tri? SIGH. I'm best in the morning, esp. late morning, and after lunch it's all downhill.

Cravings/Aversions: Still pretty much all aversions to anything with garlic/spice/onions/lots of flavor. My cravings for fruit have lessened a bit, and all I want now are... iced tea and doughnuts/pastries/sweets.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I have food allergies to really specific ingredients, so I have to read ingredients lists for everything I buy. DH bought some Kraft singles, which we neverrr buy, and made me food with it and I got so sick. I'm glad I realized it was them before I ate something else he made with them! Like, I know we're broke, but still, buying garbage cheese I can't eat is a waste, and he should know better. He felt bad. As for raves, it's "Fall Break" this week, and we're having a yard sale this weekend, since it's the annual "Citywide" yard sale. I'm not looking forward to getting up early and lugging stuff out to the lawn, except it won't yet be 90 degrees at like 7:30am, but I hope we make some $ that makes it worth it!

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore? All of them! I'm not domestic at all.

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Havin’ a girl.

Baby is the size of a(n): dill pickle

    Upcoming appts: Tomorrow.

How are you feeling?: Eh. Headaches. Diarrhea. Off and on. But sometimes I feel pretty “normal.”

Cravings/Aversions: made a Kale “Reuben” the other day and it was amazing.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My kid had her flu shot today and just woke up after napping for only thirty minutes. Gave her some Tylenol and milk and hoping for the best, currently...

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore? Gardening is somewhat of a chore, and I like that. Weeding is meditative and satisfying. In our house, I’m in charge of laundry and my H does dishes and we split the rest. I really don’t like dishes. I hate the smells. And getting damp. I don’t love laundry, but I do get a special pleasure out of removing stains.
  • @kagesstarshroom hope you make some $$ at the yard sale. Sorry YH got you sick  :s

@orbmaker I hate short naps (and non naps). I live for my free time during DS’s nap time

    EDD/W+D: 3/18, 16w

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): chipmunk sans tail

Upcoming appts: 10/22 and 10/31 anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: yay no more nausea. But still kinda tired.

Cravings/Aversions: No real aversions, but very specific cravings each meal of each day.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I’m just tired and can’t wait for the weekend when I’ll have help with DS. Although DH has another effing football  game, so I will only have help Sat

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore. Like @kagesstarshroom I am not domestic, but my least fave is prob cleaning the shower and bathroom floor. I need to get a system in place so I am better about it bc it’s a mess.

  • EDD/W+D: 3/18, 16+1 (scheduled cs on 3/13)

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: blue

Baby is the size of a(n): CD

Upcoming appts: anatomy scan on the 21st and I’m counting down the days, so excited!

How are you feeling?: overall fine. I had some spotting on Tuesday that lasted all day so now I’m banned again from working out for a week. Ugh.

Cravings/Aversions: cravings: all the pickles. Also loving salad. Don’t really have any aversions.

Rants/Raves/Questions: rant is just annoyed with spotting and lack of exercise as a result. I’m ready for baby movements that are definite so I know he is ok in there. I have the small movements after eating but sometimes those are hard to catch.

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore? favorite is def cooking. I do all of the meal planning, food prepping and grocery shopping in our house. Least favorite is cleaning the shower. The bathroom is my job too. DH does the laundry unless I’m off work in the summer. It’s mainly bc he wants it done daily and I will leave it to the weekend so he just does it. Often times I remind him I will not help him fold at night because I’m just too tired.

  • @orbmaker intrigued by the idea of a kale Reuben!  I’m obsessed with reubens but could use some more dark greens in my life.  Did you use the Bon Appetit recipe?

    Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): a lightbulb

Upcoming appts: 10/25 midwife visit.  Still need to book anatomy scan!

How are you feeling?: pretty great. Feeling some tailbone, pelvic discomfort this week when I take long strides or spend too much time in the car.  Need to do something about it!

    Cravings/Aversions:
squash/pumpkin, SOUP, peanut butter.  No aversions really other than I kinda hate salad dressing lately

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
car trouble this week and had to walk and take public transportation the other day (resulting in 17,000 steps!) but my car was fixed for a quick $60 which seemed like a very lucky break

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore?
I love cooking and don’t mind grocery shopping.  I still like doing my kids laundry and folding their little-ish clothes.  Lately I hate yard work though. I never feel like I have enough energy for it after doing chores indoors.

    BOY!

Baby is the size of a(n): a dill pickle

Upcoming appts: 11/11 Anatomy scan / doctor check up

How are you feeling?: Good & bad days, have the throwing up down from taking Bonjesta but now I have terrible migraines :/ but very blessed & all will be worth it

    Cravings/Aversions:
Amy's spicy & salty, love soup, & mc Donald's & Taco Bell. Hate meat right now

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
Question: Any fetal movement for anyone? I swear I felt a little flicker!
Rant: Clients already wondering about maternity leave

GTKY: What's your favorite/least favorite chore?
Favorite is decorating my house, least favorite is cleaning it & laundry lll clean it but hate folding it!
  • @uno_mas yes! The bon appetit one. I also added a bit of liquid smoke to the kale when it was steaming. My revelation when eating it is that my love for Reuben is actually alllll about the kraut and cheese (also just not into meat this pregnancy so far).

@jbahr517 I’ve been feeling this little one off and on for a few weeks, but I’m a STM! I think you can distinguish the more subtle movements (from gas or whatever) a little more deftly after you’ve been through it before. It’s the best!
  • Yeah I'm a STM, so I'm hoping to feel him sooner!
  • @orbmaker I don’t know what to say.  I made the Reuben and I now feel like I want to send you flowers or a fruit arrangement or a heartfelt thank you card at the very least 😄. That is exactly what the baby has been wanting me to eat.

@uno_mas Aw! I’m so glad to share the kraut love. So happy you enjoyed it.
  • Re: baby movement, I found out during my elective ultrasound that I have an anterior placenta.  With both DS1 and DS2 I had a posterior placenta, so I felt early movement with both (especially DS2).  I'm a little bummed about the placenta placement with this one because I really do enjoy feeling movement and seeing the little bits push out on my stomach as baby gets bigger.  I'm sure I'll still feel some stuff with this one but I suspect it will be much less than with my other two.
    DS1 07/2015
    DS2 10/2017
    DS3 due 03/2020
  • @kailanae I had an anterior placenta last time and I do again. Right now I’m just feeling little “swishes,” almost like a tickle, at 16 weeks. I did feel plenty of kicks and weird rolling stomach deformities and foot pokes later in pregnancy last time, tho!
  • @kailanae totally depends on the baby. I had said to my tech at my anatomy scan last time (as a FTM), “I must have a posterior placenta since I’ve already felt so much movement.” And she was like, “nope, you have an anterior one.” I felt SO much movement starting at 16/17 weeks and continuing all throughout my pregnancy.

I’m 16 wks now and haven’t felt a thing. Every u/s this baby has been lazing about and my notes from my NT scan said I have a posterior placenta this time.

So you may still feel a lot if you have an active little one!
