Gifts for your other Children

Hello Dec 2019 moms! I am going to be a TTM and have been asked if I will buy a gift for my first and second child for when baby #3 comes. I didn’t do this when my second child was born. I have no idea why people do this or what a nice gift would be. Please comment or advice. Thank you!

TTM here as well. We threw a big sister party for my oldest when my second child was born. It was small - just one toy and a treat, but we all sat around a table and celebrated. It was nice for her to have the attention after the whirlwind of her sister's birth.

The gift was some kind of toy - like a little bit nicer than something random but not huge... probably in the $20-30 price range. She was 3 1/2 when this happened.

When my 3rd was born I got my other boys (3 1/2 year olds twins) fisher price digital cameras so they could take their own pictures of their new brother. They loved it because they weren't just being posed for pictures with the new baby. They could take pictures of whatever they wanted. They took pictures of the baby but also other random stuff like the elevator buttons and the cafeteria!

@bellebaby221 I really love that idea so you can "see" the experience through their little eyes!! Now I need to go find a camera for DS

We plan on getting our will be 20 month old some Duplo blocks.

When #2 was born, we got #1 a warmie from "brother" We will likely do the same this time. Warmies are wonderful if yall have never seen them before.
