How are you feeling? Good. Still fighting a cold that everytime I caught makes me gag.
Raves/rants: small rant I was suppose to have my first appointment yesterday but had to reschedule till next week as my midwife had a birth. (The birth is not part of the rant I'm happy for a healthy birth) just boohoo for me to have to wait even longer for my first appointment and first ultrasound.
Questions:
GTKY: What was the last thing that made you laugh so hard you cried? I honestly can't remember at the moment. I need to exercise my brain more so I can have better memory.

How are you feeling? A little better the last couple of days, thankfully.
Raves/rants: My mom is back in town! We live close to each other so we see her often and she helps so much.

I LOVE to laugh. Anyway, my older sister and I went to a sacred choir concert and I don’t know why one of us started to laugh a little and it turned into full on laughter. We tried to stop so we had to quickly excuse ourselves and get out the door where we seriously laughed till we cried. 😂 Definitely not the time or place! Lol

How are you feeling? Still tired. I thought it would get better right around 12 weeks so I’m hoping things turn around!
Raves/rants: I told my boss this week and he asked if I could have the baby on a weekend 😬 worried about the future maternity leave discussion.

There is a Netflix movie called Mascots that is overall decently funny, however at the very end one of the mascots does a “trick” that I didn’t see coming and absolutely lost it laughing.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: found out it’s a boy via NIPT. Was hoping girl but am still so thrilled with a healthy baby!

How are you feeling? Good. So big already! 3rd baby...I look like I should be 20+ weeks
Raves/rants: my boyfriend is leaving the first week in October to travel during the winter and I’m struggling with it. I’m already a single mom to 2 boys (5&7) and now will be pregnant and alone. So I’m extra emotional lately.
Questions: considering a water birth unmedicated with midwife. My first two were born in a hospital with a doctor and epidurals, etc. any advice would be helpful!
GTKY: What was the last thing that made you laugh so hard you cried? 😂 my boyfriend likes to scare me (because I strangely love it) and was standing in the bathroom door last night...When I opened the door I screamed so loud and so did he. then I looked at my reflection and realized I scared him because I had toothpaste residue all over my face. We laughed for about an hour.
About home birth... I just had one last August. It was amazing. I have had 3 unmediated births so I definitely take the more natural route. How is your pain tolerance? Also, my midwife has delivered almost 1000 babies so I would really recommend a very highly trained midwife. 😊

How are you feeling? Still exhausted but at least the nausea has largely subsided.
Raves/rants: I bought the Snoogle. I let my husband try it out and now he wants to order one, too. Can't believe how much it has helped my sleep even this early. I didn't realize my other pillow was causing my sleep issues! I don't think I'll ever go back.

Prepping mountains of food the night before a big family BBQ with a few of my sisters. It was a bit of a comedy of errors, and we were all tired and some were drinking and I don't know what set us off. That's always the way it is in my family!

How are you feeling? Still feeling good. I have been lucky with the symptoms. Not much nausea from the get go. I was tired this week due to some late travel.
Raves/rants: I’m excited that I only have a week left of the first trimester and can tell people at work soon! I’m sick of hiding it and feeling like my blump is getting bumpier!

That’s a good question... I feel like I laughed pretty hard recently but I can’t remember why!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: we are officially team blue! My son is stoked. My daughter, still unsure about the whole baby thing.

Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow is my 12w appt and nuchal test ultrasound
How are you feeling? Overall, better. Sometimes still slightly baggy but MS definitely improved. I've had some dizziness over the past 2 days but mild.
Raves/rants: I didnt show until about 16-18 weeks or so with my previous pregnancies but my abs have thrown up the white flag and given out already. I still just look chubby or bloated in the lower abdomen but pants are tight and it's getting harder to hide at work. I'll be telling work soon I guess. Luckily, no weight gain quite yet but I've still been walking or running 3-4mi daily about 4 days a week.
Questions: how do those that have more than one little one at home ever get sleep? That's what I'm most worried about. My second child was born when my oldest was 10 so he was able to care for himself while I slept when the baby slept but no way that'll happen with a 2.5 yr old now. Advice?!
GTKY: What was the last thing that made you laugh so hard you cried? 😂 no idea but I'm not typically emotional and everything makes me cry happy emotional tears. TV, Facebook, my kids, everything is so damn touching. Holy emotions! I cried the other day because we had some really challenging patient cases in the ER and the great teamwork we had and my appreciation for my coworkers had me bawling in the car on the way home.

How are you feeling? Nausea is getting more infrequent but still pretty exhausted. And bloated so often! I actually have a bit of a bump now I think- mostly looks like bloat though.
Raves/rants: I was just out of town for about 5 days and it feels great to be home! Rants- Acne! I’m getting pimples in places I never have before (under my chin and cheeks) It sucks!! I’ve never had great skin but this is the worst it’s been in a longgggg time. I knew I wouldn’t be one to get “glowing” skin in pregnancy.
Questions: @babyrummom I’ve told about 5 people I work with!

I cant remember right now!! Probably during a night shift at approx 4am when we all get weird and get the giggles!

How are you feeling? Mostly good recently. The nausea has dissipated, but I still have strong food aversions and crazy, disruptive dreams...
Raves/rants: I facilitated an all-day all-staff meeting yesterday and it went really well!
Questions: @babyrummom I haven’t told anyone at work, and I don’t plan to until the end of October unless I really can’t hide a bump before then. Our board will be voting on a paid parental leave plan, and I don’t want them to be influenced by the fact that I would be using it sooner than later!
GTKY: What was the last thing that made you laugh so hard you cried? 😂 Hmmm...probably something silly when my mom and my sister were visiting. We always have a good time together!

How are you feeling? Still pretty yucky. Still maxing out Diclegis. Still sleeping a LOT. Able to eat a bit more, though!
Raves/rants: REALLY ready for feeling better in 2nd tri! Also my house project is torture. The drywall guys haven't even finished hanging panels, and they're supposed to have the WHOLE drywall project done in time for cabinet installation on Thursday. Very very skeptical that they're going to get there.
Questions: I got nothing.
