    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team pink!

Baby is the size of a(n): Eggo Waffle!

Upcoming appts: Last Friday of the month. I want to hear this heartbeat! We've only seen a flicker on the US so far, haven't heard anything.

How are you feeling?: Migraines + feeling bigger in the bottom of my belly every day, but overall good!

Rants/Raves: I felt baby move this morning! I got up to pee and then laid on my back in bed and I felt little pulses and then a wavy feeling. When I turned on my stomach I could feel it more. Spent all day trying to wake baby up to feel it again, but no luck, lol.

Questions: What to do about lower back pain? My lower back is so stiff and I can't seem to find any stretches that work. I figure standing up at my desk would help but I'm way to lazy for that.

GTKY: What is your spirit animal? An otter!!! S'cute.

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: green till the end

Baby is the size of a(n): a juicy little pear 🍐

Upcoming appts: next month? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I may need 2nd tri screening (has anyone done that yet? What does it consist of?)

How are you feeling?: the libido kicked back in yesterday with a vengeance... Otherwise I’m feeling much better overall.

    Rants/Raves
I’m having a hard time with the weight gain. and people with no filters. Maybe my problem is just with people who say dumb shit. Anyway, I have two people in my life who insist on commenting on my weight (and have with prior pregnancies). It makes me crazy but they man well and are just socially disabled. Serenity now...

GTKY: What is your spirit animal?
    Sea Cow for sure

@workingonmynightcheese yes! Completely feeling like a manatee for weeks now. At least we are beloved creatures.
  • EDD/W+D: 3/8 15+1 weeks

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out hopefully Saturday

Baby is the size of a(n): cinnamon bun

Upcoming appts: elective U/S Saturday, 16 week appt 9/26

How are you feeling?: Starting to get some nausea relief in spurts, still pretty tired. Maybe this won’t last the entire pregnancy? Or maybe I’ve been given false hope lol

Rants/Raves: Got my snoogle our last night and was disappointed it wasn’t as comfy as I remember it being. Guess I’ll wait a few more weeks for it. I just need this week to be over, I’m so anxious for my elective u/s Saturday. Yesterday I was convinced it was Thursday and super bummed to find out it was only Monday 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Questions: None

GTKY: What is your spirit animal? Probably a hamster, I’ve always had a fondness for rodents and hamsters (or at least mine) seem to live a decent life of sleeping lots and eating lots 🤣

  • @mrsvp614 I REALLY need to become a better proofreader. lol.
@keeksie84 yes! Hopefully we will either receive a diagnosis or be done with testing on Thursday. The doctor may want to do another eval of M, but I'm not really for that because it's a lot for her.
@varimama ditto! I felt very let down by my snoogle this time.
  • EDD/W+D: 3/9, 15+2

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): ring pop

    Upcoming appts: 9/24 for ultrasound

How are you feeling?: pretty good! Still tired, but my nausea is gone and I can eat more variety.
Rants/Raves: Rant… I ripped my favorite maternity pants this morning when I squatted down. Another rant… having lots of drama with my mom. She has chronic pain (lots of meds), mental health issues, and is in an abusive relationship. It makes it hard to have a normal relationship with her.

Rave: We booked a trip to Hawaii Jan 2-9. It was booked for Feb before we found out I was pregnant, so I am glad the timeshare had availability the first week of Jan, which is the latest I wanted to travel that far. I will be 30 weeks. Second rave, I scored a sonoline doppler from my local buy nothing group and found the heartbeat yesterday. It was relieving to hear since I only feel movement every now and then.

Questions: Anyone have luck eating jelly beans or something similar instead of the glucose drink?

GTKY: What is your spirit animal? Cat- lazy af and if anyone comes near me I want to scratch their eyes out. But then sometimes I am sweet and cuddly.

@miss.sally good for you for spicing things up. DH would be so jealous.

@workingonmynightcheese I think I missed what your daughter’s screening are for? Hopefully the results are what you are hoping for and helpful!

@lemonlove86 sorry about the back pain. Mine is bad as well! Last time, I went to PT and they had me do lots of glute strengthening exercises because I guess my glutes are way underdeveloped and my hip flexors are really tight. So stretching hip flexors and strengthening your buns can help.

@cristin343 what type of 2nd tri screening? Is there a reason it is indicated? Did you do the NT scan or NIPT? Also, I am sorry for the comments on your body. So frustrating that pregnancy makes people think it’s fair game to say stuff, good or bad.

@mrsvp614 yay for the raise and new schedule!

  • EDD/W+D: 3/11/20  14 + 6

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: BLUE :)

Baby is the size of a(n): Tomorrow I'll be 15 wks, baby will be the size of a navel orange.

Upcoming appts: Oct 1st: OB/GYN monthly appt / Oct 24th: 20wk Ultrasound Appt

How are you feeling?: I'm feeling good, I just feel like everything is stretching (back and stomach muscles), so it's hard to find a comfortable sitting/laying down position. My favorite spot to relax on is the chaise on our couch; it's where I feel the most comfortable. Also, I'm still fatigued; patiently waiting for that burst of energy everyone promises comes in the 2nd trimester.

Rants/Raves: I've been so overwhelmed lately thinking about all the things that need to be done to prepare for the baby. I'm starting to feel like the weeks are flying. The first trimester felt eternal, but now that I'm in the second, I feel like time is starting to pick up. With the holidays coming, I know that time is going to fly even faster so it's time to really start thinking about preparing for baby. Also, I know it's early but I'm stressed about picking a name.

Questions: Does anyone have a name picked out already; what was your process? Did you just pick it out of thin air or did you already have names picked out once you knew you wanted to TTC?

We know that we're going to make his middle name my DH's late brothers name, but that's all we have for now.

GTKY: What is your spirit animal? At the moment, my spirit animal is a Koala. All I want to do these days is sleep.
  • @lizp1229 our naming process is me throwing out names for months and DH either saying yes/no. DH occasionally adds a name to the list but usually it’s me. My style is older, classic names that aren’t very common since we have a very common last name so this narrows it down quite a bit. I check the social security website to see the popularity of various names to make sure it isn’t too common before I ask DH about it. We currently have three names we like and will likely chose towards the end, though I have a feeling I know what name we will land on.
  • @jenEP Autism. We actually just got a phone call today that she'll be officially diagnosed. Lots of feelings, but it makes getting her the support she needs so much easier. So... focusing on that.
  • @WorkingOnMyNightCheese I see! I am actually a child psychologist and specialize in autism (not practicing anymore since I had DD2). I trained at the University of Washington Autism Center and Seattle Children's Autism Center. I am sure you are getting good support and services, but if you ever have any questions, I would be more than happy to help.
  • @WorkingOnMyNightCheese Sending love your way!  I can't imagine all the feelings that you're feeling but glad you're focusing on some positives.

  • @miss.sally to answer your first question I've been wanting to try "Tracy's dog" on Amazon. The reviews are WILD!! My husband doesn't like sex toys though, so I haven't bought one. :(
As for the second, do you think @stassischroeder is just busy or maybe having app troubles like I was? Do you think something is wrong?
  • @WorkingOnMyNightCheese that must be a hard diagnosis to hear! I’ve heard getting a diagnosis early can make treatment much more successful so I hope getting the help she needs makes all the difference for you guys!

  • @mrsvp614 very impressed with your investigative skills!
  • @mrsvp614 thanks for stalking for us! Hope that’s it. I miss her!
  • @lemonlove86 I'm a journalist. It's in my blood. Ha! But I also remembered her mentioning the trip.
    @miss.sally I'm hoping that's it too!

  • Thanks ladies, the support means a lot! Thankfully, I work for a disability service organization and interact with adults on the spectrum every day, so I have no doubt M will have a full and happy life no matter what comes her way. And yes, early intervention starting as young as possible makes a huge impact. She's only been in speech a month and is already making huge progress. She answered a question spontaneously without a script this morning! <3
  • @stassischroeder yay for a baby girl! So fun. Glad you are okay!
  • Omg @stassischroeder so glad to “see” you! And ahhh a girl?! Were you shocked?
  • @stassischroeder glad you’re back and everything is ok!! Also congrats on the healthy baby girl!!! 💕

Yay @stassischroeder is back! Kind of jealous that you'll have a boy and a girl, close in age. So exciting!

    EDD/W+D: 3/12, 15+1

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out! Will find out at the 20 week scan

Baby is the size of a(n): navel orange

Upcoming appts: 10/1 and I get to schedule my anatomy ultrasound then! We are very anxious to find out what baby is!

How are you feeling?: feeling worse than the first trimester lol I’m nauseated most of the day with very little appetite. Week 14 was my “puking” week but I have thankfully recovered from that 😂

Rants/Raves: rave to jolly ranchers! They help with my nausea SO MUCH!

Questions: what are some of your go-to phrasing’s for letting family members know that we aren’t sharing our name list for them to weigh in on? We plan to share the name once we have finalized it and I don’t need any of them to provide us input to decide, DH and I can handle it! His family is being pushy and I tend to be passive aggressive but I would love to come up with something to say that lets them know to stop asking 😂

GTKY: What is your spirit animal? wolf! I am loyal to my “pack” but can be fierce when needed :) especially with these extra pregnancy hormones.
  • @emilyace we aren’t telling our name either, and we just told H’s parents, (who are also VERY pushy and the entire reason I don’t want to share), that we will let them know as soon as baby is born! No need to try and think of anything crazy to tell them imo. It literally has nothing to do with them and they don’t need to know.
