1. Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? April 28, 7w6d, STM
2. Previous loss(es)? 3 early pregnancy losses
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I'm having a lot of trouble getting food in. I'm not necessarily nauseous, but I have very little appetite and get full after just a few bites 😞 I'm also sick, and it seems to have gone from a head cold to a chest cold. I really don't feel good today and I'm contemplating going to the clinic to get checked out. Emotionally I'm a little stressed, both over my illness and the fact that I'm waiting for a call for my first ultrasound.
4. Any appointment updates? I was at the high risk doctor last week and everything looks good so far except that my thyroid levels were a bit low. He was happy to hear that I've only had a little bit of brown spotting and no bleeding
5. Rants/Raves/Questions?
6. Any milestones coming up?
7. GTKY- What is something on your bucket list? Learn Dutch! My mom is 100% Dutch and speaks it fluently but never taught my brother or I. I got really mad at her a couple of years ago about it because it probably would have made learning French easier for me

1. Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? 8w3d, as of right now 4/24 But they might push it back, DD1 and DD2
2. Previous loss(es)? One loss at around 9w
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally mush less anxious since physically I feel pretty crappy. Physically exhausted, sore nipples, nauseous, indigestion, emotional, congested. We have a follow up u/s on Sept 26th since baby was measuring about 7 days behind and they might change my due date. I know logically changing my due date means nothing, but I feel like I've felt like junk long enough and changing my due date by a week will make me feel like junk a week longer haha.
4. Any appointment updates? Not yet
5. Rants/Raves/Questions?
6. Any milestones coming up? Getting past our loss in the next couple of days. I don't know the exact day it happened but I know it was between 8 and 9 weeks, so hitting 9 will be a relief.
7. GTKY- What is something on your bucket list? Oh my! mmmmm seeing the aurora in Iceland.
@mflowers929 ugh. Head / chest colds are awful but especially when pregnant since there’s so many meds you aren’t supposed to take. I’m also getting full quick but am trying to graze more throughout the day and hope that helps with the nausea. Hope you get news on your U/S soon!
@kfrob After I had a couple days last week that I felt great, I have been all day nauseous and so fatigued ever since. I get how feeling crappy physically makes you feel less anxious about the little one. Wishing for a great follow up U/S for you on 9/26 and that feeling like junk means your little one is snuggling in nicely. I’ll be thinking of you this week as you get past the milestone of your little one no longer here.
1. Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? 10 weeks 2 days / 4/11/19 / consider myself a 2nd time mom though I’m a FTM in everything bringing a baby home from the hospital
2. Previous loss(es)? DD stillborn Sept 23 2018 at 40 weeks 1 day
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally about this pregnancy pretty good right now because I’m nauseous most of the day lately. Physically - nauseous and fatigued are my main symptoms. Trying to graze but it is hard when you aren’t hungry but then you get nauseous because you haven’t eaten anything. Really trying to keep my water intake up but it’s hard with the nausea. I’ve been getting a little lightheaded / dizzy so trying to get more iron in as well.
4. Any appointment updates? Was discharged from the RE’s office on 9/4. Had my nurse intake last week and get to meet my OB this week on 9/19. My due date won’t change but I’m guessing she’ll tell me that she plans on inducing me early due to a.) our loss and b.) our two babies I’m growing
5. Rants/Raves/Questions? At my nurse intake apt last week I kept looking at the nurse thinking “you were the one in triage when we lost our DD but you don’t work at the clinic, you are supposed to be at the hospital” and when she started going through my chart she was like “Oh! I took care of you!” I immediately said “I thought it was you but you’re supposed to be at the hospital!!” It was really good to see her as she was so good to us that day and I was able to thank her (while not being in shock) and show her pics of DD that was stillborn. She changed positions to be M-F so they could spend weekends with their grandchildren which is why she was at the clinic. It was a really positive experience and felt like my little girl was there with me.
6. Any milestones coming up? 1 year since our DD was stillborn. Hubby and I plan on going to church that and bringing a cupcake to her grave to split for her “1st birthday”
7. GTKY- What is something on your bucket list? I got a major one checked off earlier this year with a hot air balloon ride! It was something I’ve always wanted to do and DH found a great deal with a reputable company. We had a lot of fun and I would totally do it again. Otherwise DH and I would like to go to Ireland and also back to NYC. We did 1 weekend in NYC a couple years ago but wanted to go back before we even left!!
@mandarenee898 I'm glad to hear you've been feeling icky! Yesterday was the first time I've been able to successfully graze and I think it helped. Plus I gave in and got some Preggie Pops. Maybe it's a placebo effect but I think they're helping too. It's so nice that you got to see that nurse again and thank her.
1. Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? 10w, 10/14, this is my 6th pregnancy- I have DD who is 3
2. Previous loss(es)? (3) MCs - most recent in April DS was still born at 22w+ on 1/26/18 due to severe genetic abnormalities
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically- So freakin exhausted. I feel bad complaining when so many ladies are dealing with real sickness. But it's hard to make it through a day without napping.
Emotionally- I am doing okay. The closer I get to 2nd tri the better I feel about (hopefully) not miscarrying. But I know once 12w comes then we start being monitored by prenatal genetics and that brings a whole other set of things to worry about. And then once we get cleared by genetics, we can start worrying about preterm labor (I have a bicornuate uterus and am high risk for that, DD was born at 36w and spent time in NICU). So just trying to tackle one fear at a time and not get too ahead of myself.
4. Any appointment updates? I saw my PCP on Friday and she just did a quick check-in. We were able to hear baby's HB on the doppler which was great. She is waiting for my 12w u/s and then will refer me to my OB (we can see a family doc up until 20w here).
5. Rants/Raves/Questions? Yesterday was the craziest Monday, I am hoping the rest of the week is fair less chaotic! It looks like we will be buying a new house before baby arrives so that will be fun, but hectic.
6. Any milestones coming up? Not until later this Fall
7. GTKY- What is something on your bucket list? Definitely want to travel to where my family is from in Scotland and Wales. But another big one is visiting Cowboy's stadium. We are a big football family and while I could care less about the actual Cowboys, I want to sit in that stadium for a game!
I actually got the call yesterday and went in today for my ultrasound and... I'm not sure how I feel. I was estimating 8 weeks from LMP but baby was measuring 6w2d. There was a heartbeat of about 125, and I know DS measured small but not this small. I'm hoping that I just Od/implanted late and baby is measuring small. I expect that once the doctor gets the report I'll probably wind up going for another ultrasound next week some time to make sure there's appropriate growth.

@mflowers929 I had the same thing happen with DS in the beginning and my dates were just off, at the next u/s he had grown appropriately. Could they send you for betas to see if your numbers are doubling? I'm sure that wait for the next ultrasound will be tough, I'll be thinking of you!
@doraleigh35 I have an appointment with my family doctor tomorrow so I'll ask him, and probably call the high risk doctor if I haven't heard from him. The heartbeat makes me feel good. With my MMC we never saw the heart and they said it likely never started. I just hope this jellybean has a growth spurt soon. I am on an SSRI so I know that can sometimes mess with fetal growth.

Checking my app, I did have a longer than normal period (6 days as opposed to 4) my last period. I also had spotting on day 8 of my cycle, and I didn't get my BFP until 5 days after when I expected my period. So I think it's possible that I was later than I thought.

@mflowers929 with DS I was still breastfeeding DD so I didn't really know what my cycle was and I had O'd on like CD 37. It's still tough to go through an u/s like that though when you've had a MMC. Like you said I also never saw a HB with any of my MMCs, so that is a good sign. Based on when you got your BFP, it's definitely possible your dates are off. Hopefully you can get some additional support from your doctors!
@doraleigh35 I was originally going to take the B6 and get lemon candies but I was at Target and couldn't find the B6 smaller than 100mg and they had no lemon candy! Also, I highly recommend Scotland!! DH and I went to Edinburgh a couple weeks after our loss and it was amazing. We want to go back so bad.
@mflowers929 Good luck, fingers crossed that it's because of your long cycle.
I’m so glad we have this board. PGAL brain is acting up tonight, thinking of all that could go wrong with the twins. @doraleigh35 I needed to read about one thing at a time and not get ahead of myself. 😀
@mflowers929 I’m sorry that this is so stressful, but thinking of you and hoping that growth from one U/S to the next U/S shows the growth needed and it was just cause it was a long cycle!
@doraleigh35 and @KFrob I was going to break down and buy Preggie Pops but my Target was out. I didn’t think of Jolly Ranchers! I’ve been sucking on ice cubes when nausea hits (an old hangover trick from college to get water in me when my stomach didn’t want anything) and that seems to have been helping.... at least this week.
@mandarenee898 Mine's been acting up too the last couple of days. I feel like I still can't be excited or feel connected yet. My new worry is my age and that there might be a genetic issue. It's really bothering me that I can't relax and be excited. DH admitted last night that he has more anxiety than he's letting on.
@mflowers929 One of the first things my doctor says to me is "stay off google". She knows I'll just go off the rails with anxiety. I just spent the last hour googling and it actually did make me feel better. I feel like everything I read gives you a ratio, which seems scary, but if you convert it to a percent it's waaaay less scary.
I have a big vent. I think part of my anxiety about this pregnancy is actually not directly related to the baby, but the fact that this was unplanned. I'm a planner. Before we started to try for DD2 we knew how we were going to make it work financially. This time I have no idea how were going to do this. I can control and focus on my obsessing about the health of the baby to take my mind off of the panic about money. We were going to visit trying again in a year or so, once DD1 was heading off to kindergarten and we didn't have the daycare bill anymore and I was looking forward to being a better spot financially both with that bill gone and with raises and promotions both DH and I are expecting. I know some how we'll do this but I'm disappointed that there's so much stress surrounding this pregnancy. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, you guys are cheaper than a therapist And sometimes if I spill my guts to DH he takes it as me not being happy. I'm so happy but completely terrified at the same time!
@KFrob that totally makes sense and is a legitimate worry. I'm sure that you'll make it work out in the end, but I can definitely see how it would be stressful right now. And I definitely agree with you about Google. I tend to have a very scientific mind when it comes to these things (it helps me to stay somewhat grounded) and knowing numbers definitely helps

@KFrob I am sorry that you are dealing with so much stress and anxiety, but I totally get it. It's a lot to think about and while I'm sure you'll figure it all out....that doesn't take away from the fact that it is stressful! I hope that you get some relief soon and can take a breather.
We are currently in a rental and own a house back in the States. Our plan was to sell our house this spring and buy here next summer. Well our landlord just let us know that she wants to sell the house we are in and is hoping we can move before the end of our lease is up. So now we are scrambling to buy a house about 6 months sooner than planned and before selling our other house. There is always something to stress about!
