  • @rikiteacup I also get tired out quickly on weekends. I think it’s because we do a lot of errands/chores and it just drains me! Also, my mom is a (retired)non-native Russian linguist and she said it is one of the most difficult languages to learn.

  • @doodleoodle, I won't be bringing LO to the anatomy scan.  Less out of fear of bad news but more because she is 2 and there is no way she would stay entertained long enough to allow my H and I to enjoy the ultrasound.

  • @Swiftlet it is hard! I cut and taped little papers with the Russian alphabet on my dictionary because I could never learn the right order for each letter. It was such a PITA when I was looking up a word. Now, bear in mind I graduated HS in 2000. I would just google it now :D
I also had a lot of troubles with feminine, masculine and neutral nouns. My native language also has masculine and feminine nouns but when I was 2 for example, I was using the right gender because that's how I always heard it. My husband is learning my language and is struggling with gender too. I understand his pain.
I told him he needs to speak fluently real soon otherwise the kid and I will be talking behind his back  :D

GTKY:  If you could speak an additional language, which would it be and why? Hungarian or French. Hungarian because my mom was born there and it would be cool to communicate better with extended family. French because I work with a lot of French speaking companies.
