Hope everyone had a great weekend! We saw a house twice that we are going to make an offer on. It's in a great neighborhood with great schools and low(er) taxes, with a great floor plan but needs some updating. The people that own it have been there for 33 years and the house is a smidge overpriced. Luckily we are not in any rush so if it is meant to be, it will be, but the whole idea is very stressful (mostly listing ours).
Besides that my boss is in town from London all week so I have to do things I don't usually do like blow-dry my hair - haha.

My husband is out of town all week for work. So it’s me and the three boys. My husband usually cooks dinner, so when he travels, it’s very obvious how out of practice I am on cooking. Going to have to put my game face on this week. Sorry boys, it’s cheeseburgers and spaghetti again!
@therealbitts DH is also the chef in our house! I can cook some pretty good food when I feel like it. But if it’s just me and DS...that’s why I have Kraft mac n cheese in my pantry!
@ibabyloveb87 oh, I want to see it too! Loved the TV show. @leksiL good luck with the house!
Today is my H's birthday and I have planned nothing. I don't even have a card, cake or a present. He doesn't want to go out to eat. I still have time to buy the card and cake. As for the present, if he doesn't tell me what he wants, I don't get him anything. I am still waiting for my birthday present after all

I've finally gotten into a good pattern (and sticking with it) of vitamin taking. I'm usually terrible at it. But with dinner I take my prenatal vitamins, hair skin and nail gummies, and my baby aspirin (per docs orders!). All that to say, I'm super excited about how long and nice my nails are looking! I'm a habitual nail biter/cuticle picker. I finally got around to painting them last night and it was kind of a nice pick me up after the weekend I had! It's the simple things in life, right??
@rikiteacup my H’s birthday is Saturday. I haven’t gotten a present or a card for him yet. I am trying to get a dinner together but so far no one has responded. Ha

Any time I bend down to pick something up off the floor at work a student or co-worker will say, “ah man, making the pregnant lady pick it up.” So today, I said, I’m pregnant, not incapable.
Every time my toddler bends down to pick anything up now she makes a grunting noise, presumably because I do that. It’s actually really cute.
I just booked the newborn session. It’s so early, but the photographer I want to use says she only takes a few a month and I would be upset if I didn’t get her. She’s so affordable too.
I SOOO badly want to get a newborn photographer this go around. But with my daughter, my sisters friend took the pictures. I was not super happy with them, but feel like I need to do something similar this time to be even. Stupid thinking...lol
@bg122785 Same! I want to do it, but we did only the birth photos last time and I just used my DSLR last time for a couple different attempts at newborn shots (which are mediocre)... I feel like I have to be fair though and do the same again lol.
@TennisLove30 on the flip side, I take any and all offers form help lifting, carrying and picking things up! I’m already starting to feel uncomfortable bending over to get stuff off the floor or out my shoes on, this is going to be a long pregnancy...
@Swiftlet I think I’m just annoyed because I don’t want to seem weak at work, and it’s been like a pen or piece of paper. I’d gladly let my husband pick stuff up. 😂
I’m an amateur photographer and take all of my daughter’s pictures. I can’t wait to take this baby’s!
Speaking of photography things I finally got my first baby picture frame together. The long space on the bottom is supposed to be for the baby's hospital bracelet but we found something better, the tube the embryo grew in!

@jvk2012 my RE handed it to us before the FET. She called it a little souvenir for our little embryo. We didn't get any embryo pictures but we were thrilled to get the tiny tube!

@celticknotfire for our first we did something similar but I used a shadowbox frame and put a simple B&W newborn photo in and then the hospital bracelet and an imprint daycare made of Bells' hand when she was little. If anyone is interested in doing something similar it's fun and easy to find shadowboxes!

So we did not get the house because the sellers wanted an offer with no contingencies - i.e. they wanted us to buy their house without having a buyer for ours OR for us to list our house and then once we have a buyer then to approach them. OK the latter one is ridiculous this time of year because inventory is super low (everyone lists in spring here) so what if we sell our house and don't end up buying theirs, then I would be approx 7 mos pregnant (2 mos from now) with a 2 year old and no place to live. NOT HAPPENING!
This experience has convinced me that we need to wait until the Spring. I figure if we list when DD2 is 1 mo old I can at least take her out of the house for showings and be able to keep the house in decent shape. I think the spring market here really gets going in March-April so that seems reasonable.

@leksiL, we are in MA but similar housing market. When we sold, we had our house ready by mid-March for pics and such and it went on the Market like April 1st. We had a weekend of open houses and accepted an offer by Monday afternoon.
guh, this app is obnoxious. I've been trying to share this all day and when it finally lets me be able to comment, the photo option isn't there! Finally caved and got on the computer to do it!
I've realized half the clothes I've gotten for baby thus far are Harry Potter related. My husband is less thrilled about it because he's not a fan (how could I possibly have married a man with such a glaring personality flaw!? haha). But I borrowed the bib that came with the new PJs and I don't think the cat hated it! She's just glad I left the PJs off of her!
@babyroma@TennisLove30 i wasn’t a Harry Potter fan until my husband made me read them. Now he says he’s created a monster. I like it more than he does, but he still likes it a lot!

Something else fun to do with the hospital bracelet is to put it into a large clear glass Christmas ornament. I did that with both my girls, along with the little hat they were given in the hospital.
@leksiL you should look into having a home built if you’re planning on waiting that long. It’s not for everyone, but we moved with two babies and it was nice knowing that we didn’t have to worry so much about the timing of finding a house we liked and losing it. Admittedly, it does come with some added stressors, but they're more fun like, having to pick out all of the finishes.
OMG, the cleaning lady at work mentioned that my cheeks were getting fuller and that I looked fatter in general. She speaks Spanish with me so at first I thought I was misunderstanding her because . When she insisted, I finally told her I was pregnant. Good thing my boss doesn't understand Spanish as he was just a few feet away and still doesn't know.

@rikiteacup ugh! I feel your pain. Someone told me the other day after I announced at work that they knew I was pregnant because of my rounder face. Uh, thanks?
@therealbitts after I announce, a lot of people tell me they suspected as they could see it on my face aka my cheeks looked fuller. I know that any ounce of fat I gain goes straight to my cheeks first lol. I gained 6 lbs so far but not all of it is fat!

@rikiteacup and @therealbitts, I feel like sometimes people just say that about a pregnant woman’s face. When I was pregnant with DD, I was almost underweight and lost weight 1st trimester and yet when people found out I was pregnant they said that about my face even though I weighed less than usual and was barely able to eat. They were older ladies, I think it’s just something to say.
