    Size of baby: Hot Dog.

How old is your other kid(s)? DD 23, DS1 7

How are you feeling? Im OK. A little bummed out and irritated with just about everything, but OK. My back hurts a lot of I stand too long.

Rant/Rave/Questions: I'm seriously debating finding a new job. It's stupid and risky, but I don't know how long I can stick this position out. I get bored easily at work, and need to be busy. I'm not challenged or busy at all.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? We told DD right away. SO was so thrilled at me being pregnant again, he told her via Skype "I knocked your mom up again." DS1 is impatient and thinks he needs to stop baking and be born already, lol

  • @kbrown2385 - Aww, sounds like DS is making some progress!

    EDD/Weeks + Days: Jan 18/20w3d

    Size of baby: banana

How old is your other kid(s)? 23 months

How are you feeling? Super nesting now. Yesterday I spent an hour just cleaning random stuff around the house. I can't wait to find out the gender so I can really start planning.

Rant/Rave/Questions: Rant+Q: I finally bought a new Motherhood Maternity nursing bra and the straps are digging into the sides of my shoulder/arm area like they are too wide. I got the diva cup one, but I might try the full coverage to see if they move the straps closer together. Anyone ever had a fitting issue like that? Favorite nursing bra brand? I'm currently a 34DDD and my options are getting limited.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? We haven't actively pushed the concept of baby on DD because she was a little confused in the beginning, talking about babies in everyone's bellies. So I've held off until recently. She now calls baby "brothersister" because I'm always asking her if she wants a brother or a sister. Also, when we've bought new gadgets or pulled out old stuff, I tell her it's for baby, and sometimes she pats my tummy, other times she goes and gets her babydoll. So I'm still not sure what she understands.

    Size of babies: Pirahnas

How old is your other kid(s)? 2.5

How are you feeling? tired, big & slow

Rant/Rave/Questions: does anyone have any belly band recommendations from previously? im thinking i may need to get one this time.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? we talk about and to the babies and she kisses my bump and says hello the the "twinnies". She likes the idea of the new babies and tells everyone shes getting a brother and a sister. i think the reality will be very different as she is used to being the centre of everyones attention at home with us & grandparents and sharing that time and attention will be a big adjustment for her. We talk about ways she can help out with the babies when they arrive and she has a few baby dolls which she plays with - changing their nappies, feeding them, getting them ready for bed etc.

  • @leprechaunlady my sister recommended this one and so far I like it. I haven’t been using the strap that goes across the top but it’s definitely helping to support and decrease my rlp.

  • @marebear15, I thought Motherhood Maternity had extended cup sizes? If not, you may just have to special order them. I found mine on Amazon, but it's been so long I can't recall anything about it. I got to a 38EEE while pregnant and a 40FF when nursing. I've been double boobing my 38DDDs for a while now. I just HATE bra shopping.
  • @marebear15 Motherhood maternity is terrible for larger cup size bras. There's a specialty shop near me that measures you and helps fit you with the right brand/style. It's for all bras, so I normally shop there. They're not cheap, but they fit really well. Freya is the brand I like the most. I've got a few others that I got last pregnancy, but they dig into my armpits right now. I'm a 28H at this point, which means it's next to impossible to find anything outside of the specialty store. Where are you located? I can help find a specialty store if you'd like.

Some hospitals have a bra store as part of a women's center due to mastectomy needs, they have odd sizes, but very limited options to try on.
  • @kbrown2385 that's a lot of positive progress with your son! Are you just involving him and talking about them or doing anything else to help?

DD is happy to be a big sister, but I don't think she really understands what's going on. We don't talk about it all of the time right now, because we don't know the sex and she seems confused by the word sibling. She keeps referring to the dog. 😂

Trying to move her into a big kid bed too. She spent one nap there without any issues at all. After that, she's not staying in the bed at all. She asks about it and wants to nap there, but refuses to stay. Any tips?
  • @persnickity persevere with it, keep putting her back in. Does she have anything you can threaten to take away if she doesnt stay? Dd is a paci addict & we threatened (& followed through) with taking away her beloved “dodo” & that helped but the first few weeks were tough going!
  • @leprechaunlady we have been giving her 3 chances and then moving her to the crib for naps. She begs to sleep there, then just won't stay. She fought me as I put her in her crib after the third time of climbing out, but fell asleep instantly. I didn't want it to become a game by taking her back too many times.
She crawls in, lays down, then waits a few seconds before getting out to go play.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 1/25 19w3d

    Size of baby: mango

How old is your other kid(s)? DD 19, DD 15, DS 12

How are you feeling? Tired and fat.

Rant/Rave/Questions: Rave: so far, this is turning out to be my best pregnancy. I have way more energy and haven’t been sick since week 14 or so and can eat like a normal person, unlike pregnancy 2 & 3. I was sick throughout both. Rant: I got sick a couple weeks back and have had this damn persistent cough that won’t go away. I’ve never had issues with holding my urine while sneezing or anything despite having had 3 kids but this time I’m finding myself having issues when I cough too hard. It’s maddening.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? Since our kids are older (our oldest is actually at University about 12 hours north of us) we haven’t had to prepare them all that much. They’re all super excited. They’ve all sort of seen our struggle with secondary infertility over the years, so we’re all kind of relieved to finally have a little one on the way. They all will share something unique with the new baby. Our oldest is super excited that he’s due around her birthday (her birthday is 1/23). She’s heavy into astrology and is ecstatic that there will be another Aquarius in the family. Our middle is my first rainbow baby and is excited to be sharing that with the new baby. Our youngest is excited to FINALLY have a baby brother on the way. He’s been the only boy around for quite some time and is looking forward to doing all the boy things, especially teaching his baby brother how to play soccer (our son is quite the soccer star). We will be doing a little bit of a room shuffle with our youngest, but he’s looking forward to the move.
  • @marebear15 I’m a 36DD and have really liked the quality and comfort of the Kindred Bravely nursing bras.  They carry up to size F, which I think is equivalent to DDD.

@kbrown2385 Aww, your DS sounds like he’s gearing up to be a great big brother!

@persnickity good luck with the big girl bed. We haven’t moved DD yet and are bracing ourselves for a battle.

    EDD/Weeks + Days: Jan 15/20w5d

Size of baby: box of dryer sheets

How old is your other kid(s)? 23 months

How are you feeling? Dealing with jet lag and vacation hangover but overall good, apart from continued sciatic nerve pain. I think I’m going to be justifying a massage in the near future.

Rant/Rave/Questions: Has anyone else still held off on doing a birth announcement on social media? I feel like I’m already a slacking STM by not doing something cute yet.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? We talk about DD being a big sister, and she seems to like the idea. She says hi to the baby in my tummy and gives her a kiss sometimes, though she is just as likely to point at my boob and say “baby in there.” She has also asked if the baby can come out and see us, and we tell her that the baby’s not ready yet but will see us after Santa comes. After that, all she wants to talk about is Santa, of course.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days:  1/13, 21 weeks 2 days

    Size of baby:  Pomegranate

How old is your other kid(s)?  DS will be 3 next month

How are you feeling?  Pretty good.  Pregnancy really seems to agree with me.

    Rant/Rave/Questions:  None right now.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it?  We got DS a baby doll to practice with, and sometimes he'll lay it down and try to cover it up with a blanket.  He likes to hold it on his hip, then take the arm out and use it like a laser gun.  We've probably watched Incredible s 2 a few times too many at this point...lol!  He's pretty excited about getting a baby brother though

  • @EmilyE13 I haven't done a social media annoucement yet either. DH doesn't want to but I still think I do. I got a baby brother onesie and might take a picture of DD with it this weekend.

@persnickity we are also attempting the transition right now. The first two nights went ok but it has been downhill from there. She will get out of bed multiple times at bedtime and then will also get out of bed in the middle of the night and climb into our bed. I tried taking things away but that has not worked. I think I am going to try a sticker chart and rewards for staying in bed. I also got a door chime that alerts me to when she gets out of her room. I had too much anxiety that she was going to wander the house at night or fall down the stairs in the dark.

    EDD/Weeks + Days: 22w2d

Size of baby: tall as a box of kraft mac and cheese

How old is your other kid(s)? DD just turned 3

How are you feeling? Pretty good actually! I am starting to have some pains when I am sleeping at night. Also tired, but that is more because of DD waking me up at night due to the crib to bed transition.

    Rant/Rave/Questions: Nothing right now

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it? DD  wanted a baby sister so she was disappointed at first that she was getting a brother. However, now she seems exicited and tells everyone about her baby brother, kisses my belly, and gives him hugs. She is really into her baby dolls so I think that helps too. I am worried about the jealousy when he is actually here as she can be a little possesive of me. She does really well socially at daycare, but had a hard time sharing with her younger cousin a couple weeks ago on vacation.
  • @jaceru We're going to try again this weekend with naps and see if it's any better. I don't know how we'll handle if she wakes up in the middle of the night and comes to our room. Right now, we can't get her to fall asleep in the bed. I'm hoping this weekend goes better. She asks every night about sleeping in the big sister bed.
  • Late to the game here..
    EDD/Weeks + Days: 23w1  1/1

Size of baby: yule tide log?

How old is your other kid(s)? 3

How are you feeling? pretty good!

Rant/Rave/Questions: I'm kind of thankful cooler weather is upon as since I'm noticing my feet are starting to swell a bit by the end of the day which I only imagine will get worse!

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to DD is very excited but she specifically want's a sister so we will see how that goes. She has a lot of practice taking care of my niece so I'm hoping it will go just as smooth. Once I get her set up in her own room it would be good to have her start to help me decorate the baby's new space, so she feels she has some input into that as well.

@EmilyE13 I haven't done a birth announcement and probably won't until much later on, maybe around thanksgiving?
@persnickity your transition struggles sound like what is waiting for me in the next couple weeks...ughhh I hope it work's better for you this weekend!!

  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 20 Weeks 5 days

    Size of baby: Cantaloupe

How old is your other kid(s)?  4 but will be 5 in two months

How are you feeling?  Tired, but overall pretty good.  Some colace got my constipation under control.

Rant/Rave/Questions:  I find myself very emotional over this pregnancy, I think because we are pretty sure it will be our last.  Really trying to enjoy each part as much as possible.

How are you preparing your other kid(s) for a new addition? How are they reacting to it?  We got him a shirt and great book called "Babies dont eat Pizza" and  He loves it  He will often ask to read it and tell people things he has learned about babies from it.
