What's going on this week? Not a whole lot. Just impatiently counting down to my 7 week ultrasound! 

How far along are you? 5 weeks 3 days

Upcoming appointments? 7 week ultrasound is 8/27, nurse prenatal appt is 8/30. 

Cravings/Symptoms? No real cravings, but definitely aversions! No fish is a new thing... still choking down coffee. Not a whole lot of an appetite right now. Nausea is hitting me hard at night, especially when I brush my teeth. Bloating has gotten worse, so has exhaustion. My boobs aren’t quite as sore as they were, it’s more of a nagging annoyance at this point. 

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I had my meeting with admin about teaching assignments for this school year on Tuesday. Thankfully, they are keeping us where we want to be. So I will be teaching half of the 3rd graders in our school district in reading! Also, I heard from my student teacher and she’s going to come in and help with classroom setup which is amazing! I told her about being pregnant, and about our miscarriage in April to let her know why I’m playing it so safe with lifting and everything. She’s going to be awesome! 

Questions? Any of you that have had a rainbow baby... when you were pregnant with your rainbow did you feel different that pregnancy? I feel strangely more connected to baby this pregnancy, more like I believe it’s going to happen instead of being as cautious talking about baby.

What's going on this week? We have a wedding this weekend. First one we're taking DS, too. Also nervous that friends of ours will be there and get suspicious about me not drinking.

How far along are you? 5 weeks 2 days

Upcoming appointments? First ultrasound and prenatal is 9/12

Cravings/Symptoms? No cravings yet. Feeling several symotoms - sore boobs, some cramps, peeing constantly, extremely tired, feeling cold a lot.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I really want to tell people, but DH isn't quite ready. He questions going out with people because they'll question my not drinking. I'm gonna try to at least convince him to tell my parents this weekend.

What's going on this week? This week is dragging, but I’m okay. Just anxiously waiting for the first ultrasound. 

How far along are you? 6w6d per LMP, but it will probably change. Per O, I think it’s 6w1d. 

Upcoming appointments? One week from today. Can not wait. 

Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea is really ramping up. I felt just awful last night and I could barely eat this morning. 

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I’m a bit concerned about the culture that’s starting at work. I don’t really want to get to into it, but some things have happened this week that make me think my work may not be too friendly toward the idea of female executives any longer. So, now I’m rethinking my long-term strategy and wondering if I should start thinking about moving some time after this baby is born.

@ejoseph16 I don’t have personal experience with losses, but I have heard that from a friend before. I hope that it’s a great sign for you. 

@Kathryn0903 It is so difficult to figure out when to tell people. We’ve told a few (close friends and family), but I just want to tell the whole world because I’m so excited.

@Kathryn0903 I hope that YH comes around on letting you tell your parents this weekend.

@mercury94 oh wow, work culture can be a make or break kind of thing. I hope when the time gets closer that you have all the knowledge you need to make the best decision for you!

What's going on this week? This week has been pretty slow.

How far along are you? 5w4d

Upcoming appointments? 6 week ultrasound on Tuesday. Time is standing still, I swear, waiting for this! My first prenatal appointment with the OBGYN will be on September 12th which is DH's birthday! He's coming with and I'm hoping he'll be able to hear the heartbeat for the first time then!

Cravings/Symptoms? Still craving milk and spicy foods. The nausea is steadily ramping up, some days are worse than other.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I got nothin.

Questions? Not yet.

@littleredm yeah my nausea came back with a vengeance last night. MH came into the bedroom last night and I could smell him from across the room, it smelled like he ran 5 miles. I felt bad, but asked him to go shower. Lol. Then I was super nauseous. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@ejoseph16 I wouldn’t feel bad about asking him to shower. I’d do the same thing.

@littleredm The nausea is bad over here lately too. Hope you find something to help.

@ejoseph16 ds and this pregnancy are both rainbows. I knew from the moment I found out about ds that it was going to be fine. Even with this pregnancy I’ve felt more settled and my anxiety has been nowhere near where it was with my losses. Wishing you the best and can’t wait to hear about your appt! ❤️

@kbrown2385 hey girl 👋🏼 thanks! I keep thinking I’m just positive thinking, but I swear everything is so different and MH and I both feel it. He’s connecting with this pregnancy, too. I knew on Monday before I got the positive on Saturday that I was KU. It’s crazy! I can’t wait to have my US on 8/27 and see my sweet babes!
