Just had my third ultrasound today and planning to have the 20 week, but they can do a “gender discovery” for $60 out of pocket at 16 weeks... so I paid for it and I’m feeling so extra and ridiculous, but I really want to know and I’m jealous of all the NIPT results!

@craftywitch Don't feel extra! Four weeks is a long time! We are probably doing a 15 week ultrasound at one of the independent ultrasound places just to see baby again lol

I kind of feel bad about my confession since I haven't gone through with it but I have intent! lol. We did get our NIPT blood work which we should have the results any day now. DH wants a gender reveal SO BADLY and everyone was unable to do something in the near future and we ended up pushing out  the gender reveal to when we would be at 20 weeks when we would get the anatomy scan anyways. But back to my confession - I have been stalking my patient portal because now I just want to know for myself. I first and foremost want to know everything is okay with baby but our family annoys me lol.

@craftywitch if I didn’t have to drive an hour to get an elective 15 week ultrasound, I would totally do it.

@brookert615 Another confession, we lied and told our family we were doing a gender reveal cake at the baby shower just to make sure all the gifts were neutral because we intended to use them for multiple kids. We totally caved and looked in the envelope before the shower and pretended to be surprised! Just practice your surprised face!

Oh I got another one! I've totally contemplated adult diapers to sleep in because I'm so tired of getting up to pee which is usually 4-5 times a night. And usually it's just a little trickle but makes my bladder angry LOL. But I have no real concept of how adult diapers work and feel like. Haven't executed the plan as of yet!

@brookert615 lol, well you will have plenty of time to wear diapers/thunder pads after you give birth! May as well get used to it now 😆

@therealbitts Bahah! I got the idea from reading about the wonders of "after" birth. Someone suggested just getting the adult diapers rather than pads. But I know nothing haha.

@brookert615 yeah in the early days after birth, the diapers (or preferably, the stretchy hospital undies if you can snag some) are often easier than pads and will save your undies from getting ruined.

I dont think I am going to do anything else work-related today. It’s 2:40.

I didn’t even bring underwear to the hospital! 😂😂 just wear the mesh panties. But I did bring some thin pads because my bleeding with #2 wasn’t as bad as #1 and I didn’t like the 4 inch thick pads.
