Fit Friday 8/2

Just a reminder, this thread is for everyone, not just those who work out regularly. This is a place to get ideas how to keep active, get help with nutrition, or just venting about how you couldn’t get off the couch this week.

How are you feeling this week?

How was your nutrition been this past week? Any good meal or snack ideas to share?

Any goals for next week?

  • I don't have anything to add but I just want to say that I relate to that GIF on a very personal level LOL love that movie!!!
  • Loading the player...
  • my muscles were so soar from that yoga class on tuesday...which is super sad.. haha

this weekend I will try for a lot of swimming and walking
  • Starting now I'm getting back into doing at least yoga. The first trimester kicked my ass and I haven't done shit in terms of working out. And I used to go to spin class 3 times a week before the college kiddos left for summer vacation. And I'll be on vacation so I won't be able to use "i'm just too tired after work to get off the couch and do some downward dog" this next week. Soooo. Here's to keeping me accountable.

  • I've been feeling good, except I think I may be starting to get some sciatica pain, which I did not have with DS. I've kept up on my regular but not-too-crazy exercise. Nutrition isn't really a huge focus for me-I just try to eat reasonable amounts of sweets instead of excessive, and plenty of protein, and I think I've basically accomplished that. Next week my big goal is to keep up on the exercise of around 30 minutes on most days.

I'm starting a new workout program with some ladies from work on Monday! So hopefully that will keep me on track for nutrition and workouts. I have BOD so I'm going to start with some of the prenatal workouts and try to go from there to T25 with the modifier.
Edit: For meals, I'm using the 21 Day Fix containers, but I get to bump up a plan because I'm pregnant. Yay for more food!
  • @stashattack it’s so hard to jump in after not being able to work out for a while. I hope you have the energy to meet your goals!

I did a few new prenatal workouts that made me sore, so I’ll keep that up. I want to at least maintain my strength and even improve it if I can. The diet part is a challenge though, I need to plan ahead!
  • Starting water aerobics on Monday, so looking forward to that. As far as eating, just being mindful to get in fruits and veggies and lean protein but also not restricting myself too much either. If I want a cookie, I eating a cookie 😜
  • @peppyj9 let us know how water aerobics go! That sounds like it would be fun and feel really nice with the pregnancy aches and pains. SAME on the cookies.

@Xstatic3333 I loved it! Today we were in the deep end and one of the stretches afterward was to hold onto the wall and swing your legs like a pendulum, felt SO good on the hips!
  • Went on a 3mi home today. It was amazing and I wasn’t as tired as I thought I was going to be afterwards. Tomorrow yoga!
