Anyone buying a used stroller?

Haven't seen any recent posts about this, sorry if I missed any. I keep going back and forth between buying/registering for a new stroller versus buying used. Anyone have any experience with buying a stroller used? Based on google research, it seems like it's generally ok to buy used, and the latest safety standards were 2015 or something like that, so I would probably want a stroller from more recent years. Just curious what y'all think!

I looked all over the net for a Real Doona car seat/stroller combo with no success.. but if you can find one, it will be the answer to your travel prayers!!! They’re fantastic, but they’ll only last 10 - 12 months before baby outgrows it… 😢.. you’ll be more likely to find travel friendly and gently used items in smaller sizes/age windows. Hope that made sense! Lol!

There isn’t much I’m buying brand new. his car seat, I got a brand new playard with bassinet for $40, my neighbor gave me her old cosco highchair, and a handful of clothes and blankets that were very affordable on red tag sale at Burlington. I bought used bottles and new nipples, new set of pacifier. Lots of little basic things. I’ve got other small items from flea markets, consignment stores, yard sales etc. They grow way too quick & it also depends on your home situation. I’m doing the single mom thing & no family except 1 sister. So my situation requires me to be frugal and honestly, if you clean the items real well you can’t tell anyway. I’m not going to crazy yet. I know the girls at work are planning a shower so my registry is very specific, affordable, and minimalistic. I have a 1 bedroom apartment I’ll be sharing a room with my lil prince. There’s nothing wrong with it, saving money definitely doesn’t hurt.

Keep an eye out on GoodBuyGear! I bought our Uppababy Cruz V2 stroller (manufactured in 2022) in basically brand new condition (no wear on the tires or the frame and everything came in original packaging!) for $445 after tax!
