Are any other STMs+ (or even FTMs) super happy that high-rise jeans are back? I just bought a pair on Friday and DAMN it's so nice to not have to constantly stuff my pooch or muffin top back into them. I'm comfy and contained!
Although, I'll definitely be switching to maternity pants at a ridiculously early point.
@stassischroeder, yasss! Gotta love a place for the pooch. I tried on a high waisted bikini yesterday at Target and was less that delighted with it - I had such high hopes. Oof...it was a little rough. I'm also excited to bust out the maternity pants ASAP. Where did you get your jeans?
@keeksie84 I got mine at Target! Can't beat super comfy, stretchy skinny jeans for $24! Gawd I love Target... And don't worry, I could never do a high waisted bikini either. I'm a total pear shape and have lots of cellulite on my large thighs - so high-waisted swim suit bottoms just accentuate that. I might be resigned to swim skorts for the rest of my life LOL. Can I also just say that I love Target's size-inclusive models/advertising? Real bodies, FINALLY!
@stassischroeder Yes! Love Target! I'm 100% with you on all kinds of inclusive models. It's great to see all kinds of people represented, plus I'd much rather see what a piece of clothing looks like on a mom bod as opposed to a size 4 model. It's so much more helpful IMO.
I've become an apple shape and I find that with bikinis, my tummy chub either hangs out the top or the waist band cuts me right across my widest part. Viva la tankini!
+1 to loving Target! Their maternity section has really improved since I was pregnant with DS so I’m excited to shop there this fall for some new stuff!
Any other STMs still breastfeeding their first? I think my supply is already tanking as my kid who would survive on like a peanut butter cracker a week is suddenly begging for food nonstop!

@varimama Yup, still BFing DS. I do, however, think he BFs more for comfort than nutrition at this point, and only before bed (and naps on the weekend). He eats very well, and I have a large freezer stash that he gets in his sippy/straw cups throughout the day. I'm sure my supply is decreasing, so we'll see if he wants to keep BFing for much longer.
Wow, so much credit to all the BFing and pregnant mamas!
I have a horrible obsession with Target. Was just there this morning Luckily I didn’t buy too much nonsense this time lol. Switching to more natural cleaning/beauty products since I’m looking at 2ish years of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
And yes I love their real models! So much better to get an idea of what their stuff looks like on real bodies!
@varimama I'm no longer BFing DS, but I was BF DD and was BF DS during other pregnancies (one was DS the other a loss) and my supply tanked! It also (briefly) started to hurt! But I powered through. I made it to 4 months pregnant BFing DD. She was almost two at that point, so I was okay with it being done.
Also CANNOT WAIT FOR MATERNITY PANTS! I am in no way above busting them out at 12 weeks. I showed SO much earlier with my second, that I'm scared of the third... but I also love being pregnant, so bring it on!
Also, I bought my first one piece bathing suit ever two weeks ago and it was SO liberating. Never going back. A bikini when chasing my kids was just not a look that I could rock haha.
@EmilyLove25 I didn't bust out maternity pants until 16-17 weeks last time and GAWD that was dumb! Life is so much better once you give in to the dark side
@stassischroeder I’m already contemplating busting out the maternity shorts for my Disney trip in 2 weeks #sorrynotsorry.
@keeksie84 I have two high waisted bikini bottoms from old navy and I love them. I found that I only like them in black through, no color or pattern.
+1000 to loving target. I’m already planning my trip for tomorrow. I’m also excited about their new maternity section, and possibly looking for some other clothes for Disney. Nothing is fitting well with the humidity, and I keep puffing up.

@emmasemm yeah I love Target, but I'm with @EmilyLove25 and am jealous of your Trumpless country, not to mention the UK and Europe's food standards! I mean, when other countries have to put warning labels on your country's food because of the potentially dangerous ingredients... it's not a good sign lol.
Add me to the list of Target freaks! I'm also definitely breaking out the maternity wear earlier than last time. I don't remember how long I waited around, but when I finally took the plunge, I was pissed I hadn't done it sooner. I'm wondering how much I'll be able to wear again, since my last pregnancy was a summer pregnancy and this will be in the winter. @stassischroeder I'm also team swim skort for life, for the same reasons you mentioned! @EmilyLove25 You're totally right about the Trump comment! Ha!
Well I just broke the zipper to my favorite pair of shorts today (not bc of my belly idk the tag part just broke) so I think I’m just going to replace them with maternity shorts 🤣

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
Well, true idiot here. I went to the Carters Website and looked at all the Newborn Sleep & Plays, and now I desperately NEED this to be viable and healthy. Boy. Girl. Don't care. PLEASE be real and healthy. If that bloodwork at 10 weeks comes back clear, I am going on to these websites and ordering it ALL (despite having way too many baby clothes). So cute.
I can’t sleep so I’m making a baby registry. Not like I have 9 whole months to do that. And also I have 2 kids so I barely need anything. Just love all the little baby things! 🤷🏻♀️
@keeksie84 oo my high-waisted bikini is pretty good, but I do prefer my one-piece--glad those are sexy again.
I just wanted to let everyone who knows/saw that I'm currently a Louisianan that we're okay for now, but we'll be prepping tonight and prepping tomorrow morning for what might turn into hurricane Barry--we'll probably get some flooding in our rooms that always flood, with the worst of it Friday into Saturday. If the potential for worse arises, I will keep yall informed.
For the mamas who aren’t being followed by REs or closely followed by their OB- how many pregnancy tests did you take?
I got a positive with a regular and a digital the day after my missed period, I’m now 5+5 and haven’t tested again. I see my doc 3 weeks from today for my first Appt.
Am I crazy for wanting to take another test? Or crazy if I don’t take another test? I can’t remember how crazy/uncrazy I eas with my first, but do remember I saw the doc at 6 weeks last time.
@laurenm2123 I’ve taken tests 6 days 8 tests total bc the first two days I did cheapies and FRERs. I have 2 left and I’m trying to not let myself buy more... I’m crazy though so idk if you want to go by me.
Me: 33 | DH: 34 Married: October, 19, 2015 EDD 2/22/17 DS1 born on 3/2/17 EDD 3/8/20 DS2 born on 3/10/20 EDD 11/24/23 (Formerly Marriedhamstermom Feb ‘17)
@laurenm2123 I only took the one test. I am having a hard time waiting for 8 weeks though, my first two pregnancies the appt was also at 6 weeks. But I figure if I can just hang in there till then, I’ll be that much closer to 12 weeks!
@kagesstarshroom stay safe!!! @laurenm2123 I'm 5w+2d today and I've taken 4 total at this point: 10 dpo (first BFP), 11 dpo, day before AF was due, and one week after AF was due. My first appointment is also in 3 weeks and I have one test left, so we'll see if I use it between now and then.
@laurenm2123 take all the tests that you need for peace of mind! If I hadn't had betas you can bet your ass I'd still be POAS. That's one reason I always buy a pack of Wondfos - they're super cheap so no harm in using a ton of them. Remind me when your first appointment is? Just be aware of the hook effect when using HPTs (google it so that I don't explain it incorrectly lol).
@kagesstarshroom thinking of you and FX for minimal damage! Stay safe!
@laurenm2123 I'm a total crazy person and I've peed on something every day since 9dpo. It's partially because I have a ton of internet cheapies, partially because I have such a nice little progression going, and mostly because I tend to obsess about things. My test line is much darker than my control today, so I *might* stop soon.
@kagesstarshroom I'm also glad one pieces are sexy again, but I'm having a hard time feeling that way. The feminist in me is screaming "EVERY BODY IS A BEACH BODY" but the mirror in Target whispers, "girl, are you sure you want to go to the beach?". Ugh, the struggle is real.
@laurenm2123 I’ve taken at *least* 10 tests...I agree with all the Target sentiment but will also note that Walmart has 88cent pregnancy tests that have been enablers for me, so addicting!! If you can find them in stock that is! I’m with @keeksie84 in wanting to see the progression of how the line has gotten darker because I have no data otherwise!
@rainbowdashh not sure if you’re already doing this but I mobile bump in the browser not the app. Still not as good as a computer but way better than the app!
Me: 33 | DH: 34 Married: October, 19, 2015 EDD 2/22/17 DS1 born on 3/2/17 EDD 3/8/20 DS2 born on 3/10/20 EDD 11/24/23 (Formerly Marriedhamstermom Feb ‘17)
Used a digital today which says Pregnant so gives me some piece of mind! I was hoping to buy one of the weeks estimator but Walgreens didn’t have them. Oh well!
@laurenm2123 I believe they took the Weeks estimator off the market. If I sent you a picture of all the tests I've taken through my four pregnancies, you'd be horrified... I always want SOMETHING to give me peace of mind. BUT I did it last week and wasn't seeing progression, but on those same days had betas done and they had more than tripled... I think the darkness of First Response (darker than the control line) might reassure you. However, there is a point (hook effect) where your beta HCG is SO high that the line starts getting lighter and you then have to dilute your urine to get it darker... (and yes, I've been there in my son's pregnancy and also **TW** in my loss, so...)
I am that person too. I have been testing am & pm since. I wish I could have recorded DH's reaction when I told him that I had bought 50 tests(Clinical Guard). WHAT!?!
We have a vacation planned in September. I bought a high-waist bikini online last week, it was just, just a hair too big on top, so I was going to return it. I'm definitely keeping it now.
@laurenm2123 So glad you got some peace of mind! I am thinking of buying one of those for when I tell DH? Last time (TW: my mmc cycle) I just kind of told him outloud bc---he asked? Even though I was trying to wait til we got home to do a special thing. This time. I feel like showing him lines, he will be like "what language is this" but the digital will be like--literally (literally) spelled out for him. GAhh, I'm so excited to tell him, but I want to do it RIGHT!
@lusineg Haha, glad you have a good reason to keep that bikini!
Any of you ladies on a weight loss journey? I’ve lost about 15 pounds on Weight Watchers since having my 2 year old, though I really was hoping to lose about 30. I’d like to continue to at least maintain the healthy lifestyle through pregnancy. Anyone interested in some sort of check ins/recipe sharing/motivation?

I just wanted to let everyone who knows/saw that I'm currently a Louisianan that we're okay for now, but we'll be prepping tonight and prepping tomorrow morning for what might turn into hurricane Barry--we'll probably get some flooding in our rooms that always flood, with the worst of it Friday into Saturday. If the potential for worse arises, I will keep yall informed.

We have a vacation planned in September. I bought a high-waist bikini online last week, it was just, just a hair too big on top, so I was going to return it. I'm definitely keeping it now.
EDD: 3/19/20
@lusineg Haha, glad you have a good reason to keep that bikini!
